Optimization of Electrical and Optical Properties of a-IZO Thin Film for High-Efficiency Solar Cells (고효율 태양전지용 a-IZO 박막의 전기적 및 광학적 특성 최적화에 관한 연구 )

  • The deposition of indium zinc oxide (IZO) thin films was carried out on substrate at room temperature by RF magnetron sputtering. The effects of substrate temperature, RF power and deposition pressure were investigated with respect to physical and optical properties of films such as deposition rate, electrical properties, structure, and transmittance. As the RF power increases, the resistivity gradually decreases, and the transmittance slightly decreases. For the variation of deposition pressure, the resistivity greatly increases, and the transmittance is decreased with increasing deposition pressure. As a result, it was demonstrated that an IZO film with the resistivity of 3.89 × 10-4 Ω∙cm, the hole mobility of 51.28 cm2/Vs, and the light transmittance of 86.89% in the visible spectrum at room temperature can be prepared without post-deposition annealing.

  • In recent days, there was a significant development on the electrical, thermal, mechanical, physical, chemical, magnetic and optical properties of the polyamide enamel, varnish and other insulating materials by the addition of nano fillers to it. Enamel was used in High Voltage Apparatuses used in Medical Electronics as insulation. Insulating materials determine the life time of the electrical apparatuses. The life time of the insulating materials was improved by the addition of nano fillers to it. Hence the life time of the electrical apparatuses was improved by the mixing of nano fillers to the enamel. In this research, the basic dielectric properties of the enamel and enamel mixed with nano composites of silica and alumina were analyzed and compared with each other. The addition of nano fillers has improved the quality factor and capacitance of the enamel. It was also observed that the addition of nano fillers has reduced the dissipation factor and dielectric losses of the enamel. Heat produced by the dielectric losses was also reduced by adding nano fillers to it.

  • In this paper, $Pb(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})_{0.07}(Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})_{0.10}(Zr_{0.5}Ti_{0.5})_{0.83}O_3$ ceramics were fabricated by the conventional solid state method to obtain excellent dielectric properties for ultrasonic generators. The effects of 2nd calcination temperature on their microstructure and piezoelectric properties were systematically investigated. The tetragonality increased in the ceramics when 2nd calcination temperature increased to the optimized temperature at $750^{\circ}C$. At that temperature, excellent physical properties ($d_{33}=352\;pC/N$, ${\varepsilon}_r=1,687$, $k_p=0.570$, $Q_m=1,640$) were obtained for ultrasonic generator application.

  • We prepared indium zinc oxide (IZO) thin film for cathode electrode such as an application of flat panel display by using the facing targets sputtering (FTS) method at room temperature. The effects of input power and film thickness were investigated with respect to physical and optical properties of films such as deposition rate, electrical properties, microstructure and transmittance. We could obtain properties of IZO thin films of under $10^{-3}\;{\Omega}-cm$ in resistivity and the thin films of over 90% in transmittance. Also, we obtained IZO thin films which were an amorphous structure.

  • Physical, electrical and optical properties of Aluminum(Al) thin films were investigated in order to establish the optimum sputtering parameters in mirror reflection films. Al. thin films deposited on corning glass substrate by DC magnetron sputtering were grown as a variation of the input power, operation pressure and deposition time. The properties of the Al thin films have been discussed by deposition rate, SEM, XRD, sheet resistivity, resistivity and reflectance. Al thin films were obtained at the deposition conditions as follows: operating pressure, 3 mtorr; DC input power desnsitiy, 3W/$\textrm{cm}^2$.

  • In order to investigate the electrical properties for transformer oils which contains a Pure sodium chloride, the dielectric properties is made researches. To measure the dielectric loss of specimen, a coaxial cylindrical liquid electrode is used, and its geometric capacitance is confirmed to 16[pF]. And the dielectric dissipation factor, tan$\delta$, is measured by using the Video Bridge 2150. The thermal static oven with an automatically static temperature controller is used so as to support specific temperature to the specimen. This experiments for measuring the dielectric lass is performed at 20-120[$^{\circ}C$] in the temperature range, 30∼1.5x10$\^$5/[Hz] in the frequency range and 300∼1500[mV] in the voltage range. The result of experiment for the movement of carrier and the physical constants to contribute dielectric properties of specimen with a pure sodium chloride.

  • Epoxy resin has been used as matrix resin of advanced composites owing to ideally suitable properties and inherent physical and chemical properties for electrical and electronic insulation In this paper, in order to evaluate the performance of epoxy composites for out door insulation, variations of tracking resistance were investigated on the moisture absorption aging condition. Also, IPN methods were introduced in order to improve performance for out door use. As a result, it was confirmed that tracking resistance were degraded with boilling time. But, it was confirmed that specimen of IPN structure and KC-335 have the better tracking resistance properties than SIN structure by moisture absorption aging

  • In this paper, zinc oxide (ZnO) films with c-axis (002) orientation have been successfully deposited on the Al/Si substrate by rf magnetron sputtering method. The deposited films were characterized by substate temperature. Physical and structural properties of the deposited films were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) measurement. Electrical Properties of the deposited films were investigated by 4-poing probe and LCR meter measurement. The optimal condition in this experimental result was found at foot of the substrate temperature and shown good film quality for FBAR application.
