A freesia (Freesia hybrida Hort.) 'Dancing Flame' was developed for the cut flower in the National Institute of Horticultural Herbal Science in 2007. This hybrid was selected from a crossing between a seedling 'Vulcano' and 'Sailor', which is scarlet double flowering and purple single flowering, respectively, and 'Figaro' which is bright red color and semi-double flowering, in 2000. Morphological characteristics of the selected hybrid were investigated for 3 years from 2005 to 2007, and then it was named 'Dancing Flame'. 'Dancing Flame' had red color (RHS R44B) and single flower with yellow center color (RHS Y9A). The growth of the plant was vigorous and the average height was 93.3 cm. The average flower width was 60 mm, number of floret per stalk was 14.3, and stalk was 13.2 cm length. The average yield, 7.8 cuttings per plant, was 2.5 stems per plant more than the control cultivar. The average days to first flowering of 'Dancing Flame', 133 days, was approximately 5 days earlier than the control cultivar. And its average yield, 7.1 cormlet per plant, was also 2.5times more than the control cultivar.

We report an unrecorded species of the genus Sorbaria (Rosaceae) in Korea, namely Sorbaria kirilowii (Regel & Tiling) Maxim. This plant was discovered both on Pocheon-si, Naecheon-myeon and Yeoju-gun, Buknae-myeon in Gyeonggi Province. It is distinguishable from Sorbaria sorbifolia (L.) A. Braun var. stellipila Maxim. by characteristics such as presence of hair on leaf and rachis, morphology of inflorescence, length and width of petal, shape of sepal, number and length of stamens, presence of hair upon and size of follicles. This taxon was given the Korean common name 'Jom-swi-ttang-na-mu' based on the small size of floral characters.

A new Dianthus cultivar 'URI 2010-6' was selected among F1 progenies from a cross between interspecific hybrid 'Evergreen Emerald' as the seed parent and D. chinensis ' Ruby' as the pollen parent. In 2007, the cross w as made, and the seedlings of $F_1$ progenies were obtained and investigated. After three rounds of characteristic evaluation from 2008 to 2010, a clone was selected and registered as 'URI 2010-6' at the Korea Seed and Variety Service (plant variety protection number: 4431) in 2011. The flower of 'URI 2010-6' is caryophyllaceous, single type, and mainly bright red (Red, N79C) with secondary white (White, N155C) on the edge or as spots on the petal. The flower has diameter of 2.7 cm and length of 0.8 cm. This cultivar blooms continuously about 150 d on average and may be used as evergreen plant during winter months.

A new standard rose cultivar "Peach Pudding" was bred from the cross between deep red standard cultivar 'Red Sandra' and light pink standard cultivar 'Dolores' at the National Horticulture Research Institute. The cross was made in 2000 and "Peach Pudding" was finally selected in 2006 after investigating characteristics for three years from 2002 to 2006. 'Peach Pudding', a pink standard cultivar has good flower shape and fashionable flower color. The major characteristics of this cultivar are 113.1 stems/$m^2$/year in yield, 60.6 cm in length of cut flower, 8.7 cm in flower diameter, 38.6 in petal number, and 12.8 days in vase life. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting. The consumer's preference of this cultivar is relatively higher than that of control cultivar, 'New Miracle'.

A new standard rose cultivar 'Happy Day' was bred from the cross between pink standard cultivar 'Vivaldi' and pink standard cultivar 'Medeo' at the National Institute of Horticulture & Herbal Science. The first cross was in 2003 and 'Happy Day' was finally selected in 2008 after investigating characteristics for three years from 2006 to 2008. 'Happy Day', a pink standard cultivar grows vigorously and has powder mildew resistance. The major characteristics of this cultivar are $160stems\;m^{-2}$ per year in yield, 79.2 cm in length of cut flower, 9.9 cm in flower diameter, 28.8 in mean petal number, and 11.8 days in vase life. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting. The consumers' preference of this cultivar is relatively higher than that of control cultivar, 'Nobleless'.

A new cultivar of Rosa hybrida 'Loving Heart' was developed by crossing Gyeongkyo R-6 and 'Noblesse' at Gumi Floricultural Experiment Station in 2002. Characteristics trials were conducted three times from 2004 to 2007. This cultivar showed dark pink flower color (RHS, Red-purple group 66-B) and standard type with good flower shape. The flower diameter is 10.3cm and the number of petals per flower is 55. Vase life of 'Loving Heart' could be as long as 12.3days. The yield of 'Loving Heart' was $127stems/m^2/year$. 'Loving Heart' has good quality of cut flower and strong vigor in plant growth. This cultivar has straight stems and is easy to culture because of a few prickles on the top of stem. This cultivar is appropriate for both soil and solution(hydroponics) cultures.

A new standard pink rose cultivar 'Noble Eye' was bred from the cross between pink standard cultivar 'Noblesse' and pink standard cultivar 'Pretty Woman' at the Jeollanamdo Agricultural Research and Extension Services (JARES). The cross was made in 2003 and, 'Noble Eye' was finally selected in 2009 after investigating characteristics for three times from 2006 to 2009. 'Noble Eye' a pink standard cultivar has good flower shape with few prickles. The major characteristics of this cultivar was $125.7stems/m^2/year$ in yield. 69.8 cm in length of cut flower, 6.6 cm in flower diameter, 40.5 in petal number, and 9.4 days in vase life. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting. The consumer's preference of this cultivar was relatively higher than that of control cultivar, 'Noblesse'.

'Pink holic', a light pink standard cultivar grows vigorously and has powder mildew resistant. The major characteristics of this cultivar are $185.4stems/m^2/year$ in yield, 83.9cm in length of cut flower, 11.0cm in flower diameter, 42.9 in petal number, and 22.4 days in vase life. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting. The consumer's preference of this cultivar is relatively higher than that of control cultivar, 'Moon light'.

A new spray rose cultivar 'Morning Shine' was bred from the cross between light pink spray cultivar 'Charming' and white spray cultivar 'Princess' at the National Horticulture Research Institute. The cross was made in 2000 and 'Morning Shine' was finally selected in 2006 after investigating characteristics for three years from 2003 to 2006. 'Morning Shine', a light yellow spray cultivar grows vigorously and has high productivity. The major characteristics of this cultivar are $159.7 stems/m^2/year$ in yield, 74.3 cm in length of cut flower, 7.2 cm in flower diameter, 35.6 in petal number, and 13.0 days in vase life. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting. The consumer's preference of this cultivar is relatively higher than that of control cultivar, 'Sunny Lady'.

A new standard rose cultivar 'Pink Bell' was bred from a cross between pink standard cultivar 'Sweet Pink' and pink standard cultivar '"Pink Pearl' at the National Institute of Horticultural & Herbal Science. A cross was made in 2003 and 'Pink Bell' was finally selected in 2008 after investigating its characteristics for three years from 2006 to 2008 (UPOV standards). 'Pink Bell', a pink color standard cultivar grows vigorously and has a high yield. The major characteristics of this cultivar are $162stems/m^2/year$ in yield, 69.8 cm in length of cut flower, 10.4 cm in flower diameter, 44.5 in petal number per stem, and 12.0 days in vase life. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting. The consumer's preference of this cultivar was relatively higher than that of control cultivar, 'Nobless'.
