This intervention was carried out for the six different terms, each of which was alloted 60 minutes. To evaluate the intervention effects, the self-worth scale were examined before and after the intervention for both experimental and control group. The result shows that the self-worth improved significantly in the experimental group(p < 0.001), whereas it remained unchanged in the control group(p > 0.459). This finding proves that the proposed LBMI program ameliorates the self-worth of the personal assistants for the disabled.

  • This study provided personnel and recruitment information related to job offer and job hunting, and proposed a non-face-to-face platform that can facilitate matching of one-time services as well as periodic services. The existing recruitment and job search method for personal assistant of the disabled is a one-way matching method in which a person in charge of the service providing centers assigns an activity assistant belonging to the institution when a consumer requests an personal assistant service, so the choice of job seekers is very weak. The job matching platform of the activity assistant for the disabled can be logged in separately by dividing users and separating them into the interface of the disabled or the disabled family members (job seekers) and activity assistants for the disabled (job seekers). Search for job offer and job seekers that meet their respective conditions, and real-time bidirectional decision-making through the chat function, and when the activity assistance service is completed, recruiters and job seekers can write service reviews and evaluations from their own point of view. The real-time interactive decision-making matching platform will also help minimize blind spots where it is difficult to provide services when short-term or one-time assistance is needed.

The guardians were surveyed using self-writing questionnaires regarding the cohesion and communication process, and the oral health of disabled was analyzed by evaluation table. Total 78 copies were analyzed. SPSS win. 24.0 statistical program was used and the significance level was verified at .05. There was significance in the communication process(p<.01) according to the type of relationship with the disabled and their guardians. In oral health of the disabled according to the type of relationship with their guardians, there was significance in DMFT index(p<.01), first molar soundness(p<.01) and Pocket depth(p<.01).Therefore, the mother had a positive effect for the disabled on most items such as cohesion, communication process, and oral health. However, it is expected that policy support and research to increase the interests in oral health care management are needed for personal assistants, who showed a low impact on the cohesion, and communication process with disabled persons, and spouses, who showed a low influence on oral health of persons with disabilities.

  • This study used data from the 6rd and 12th year of the Korean Welfare Panel to evaluate the effects of the Personal Assistance Service(PAS) system on the labor market of PAS users' participation. For the purpose of this study, 64 program groups using the Korean PAS and 344 control groups not using the Korean PAS were selected using Caliper matching among the propensity score matching. A chi-square test was used for the difference in characteristics between groups, and a simple difference-in-differences (DID) model and a double-difference multiple regression analysis of DID were performed to estimate the effect of thepolicy before and after the Korean PAS. As a result of the study, it was found that statistically, PAS had no significant effect on the labor market. This is due to the low number of system users, resulting in low post-hoc power, incomplete matching and limited availability of PAS Assistants for Disabled People. Therefore, In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Personal Assistance Service(PAS) system, specialized services and systems that meet the needs of the disabled and household members should be implemented.

  • This research is to make the identity of the two models clear by reviewing the similarities and differences between Social Model of Disability from U.K. and Independent Living Model from United States. Research results are as follows. As for differences, Social Model of disability intended to change disability paradigm by focusing society itself as the cause of disability rather than individuals, however Independent Living Model stressed on the freedom and control through disabled people's life with self-advocacy group and personal assistants. As for similarities, there are self-representatives, social responsibility for disability, alienation of people with intellectual disabilities at the initial stage, background in legislating Disability Discrimination Acts in both countries. This result has its significances because it shows theoretical framework which make it possible to review further how disability practice and movements understand the two models regardless of their real contents and how the two affected the induction and proceeding of Korean Discrimination Act and Independent Living Paradigm in the Disability Welfare Act.
