Constrained Sintering을 위한 LTCC용 $Al_2O_3$ Paste 조성에 대한 영향 (Effects of $Al_2O_3$ Based Paste Formulation for Constrained Sintering in LTCC)

  • 기존의 Free Sintering 방법을 사용하는 LTCC(Low Temperature Cofiring Ceramics)는 수축률이 일정하지 않아서 설계 치수와 동일하게 제작하기 어려운 단점을 가지고 있다. 이에 따라서 정밀한 전자부품을 제작하기 위한 방안으로 X-Y면 방향에서의 변형을 거의 zero로 제어하는 Constrained Sintering(CS) 기술이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 LTCC 기판이 소성되는 동안에 변형을 억제하기 위하여 소성온도가 LTCC 기판 보다 높은 $Al_2O_3$ 분말과 유기물을 혼합하여 페이스트를 제작한 후에 스크린 프린팅 방법을 이용하여 도포 후에 Z축 방향으로 일축가압을 하면서 소성하여 수축률을 제어 하였다. 또한 바인더와 $Al_2O_3$ 분말의 함량에 대한 최적 조성의 $Al_2O_3$ 페이스트를 제작하여 0.5%로 수축률을 가지는 균일한 LTCC 기판을 구현 할 수 있었다.

Plasma Paste Boronizing법에 의한 Ni-Cr-Mo강의 붕화물층 생성거동과 내 토사마모특성에 관한 특성 (A Study On the Sand Wear Resistance and Formation Behavior of Boride Layer Formed on Ni-Cr-Mo Steel by Plasma Paste Boronizing Treatment)

  • The surface property and formation behavior of a boride layer formed on Ni-Cr-Mo steel in a plasma paste boronizing treatment were investigated. The plasma paste boronizing treatment was carried out at 973~1273 K for 1-7 hrs under the gas ratio of Ar:H$_2$ (2:1). The thickness of the boride layer increased with increasing temperature and time in the boronizing treatment. The cross-section of the boride layer was a tooth structure and the hardness was Hv 2000~2500. XRD analysis revealed that the compound was identified as FeB, $Fe_2$B, and mixed phase of FeB/$Fe_2$B in the boride layer formed at 973~1073 K, 1173K, and 1273K, respectively. The Ni-Cr-Mo alloy boronized at 1173-1273 K showed the best excellent wear resistance against the sand. As a results of corrosion test in 1 M $H_2$$SO_4$ solution, $Fe_2$B formed on the matrix alloy exhibited higher corrosion resistance than FeB.

Theoretical prediction on thickness distribution of cement paste among neighboring aggregates in concrete

  • By virtue of chord-length density function from the field of statistical physics, this paper introduced a quantitative approach to estimate the distribution of cement paste thickness between aggregates in concrete. Dynamics mixing method based on molecular dynamics was employed to generate one model structure, then image analysis algorithm was used to obtain the distribution of thickness of cement paste in model structure for the purpose of verification. By comparison of probability density curves and cumulative probability curves of the cement paste thickness among neighboring aggregates, it is found that the theoretical results are consistent with the simulation. Furthermore, for the model mortar and concrete mixtures with practical volume fraction of Fuller-type aggregate, this analytical formula was employed to predict the influence of aggregate volume fraction and aggregate fineness. And evolution of its mean values were also investigated with the variation of volume fraction of aggregate as well as the fineness of aggregates in model mortars and concretes.

수산화 인회석 함유 치약이 지각과민증에 미치는 영향 (The effects of hydroxyapatite toothpaste on tooth hypersensitivity)

  • Purpose: The present study was performed to evaluate the effect of hydroxyapatite dental paste on tooth hypersensitivity compared to other materials. Materials and methods: In the general fluoride dental paste, strontium fluoride dental paste and hydroxyapatite dental paste, patient-performed VAS and VAS(ice test) were measured at baseline, 1weeks and 4weeks. Results: 1. In patient-performed VAS, there were significant differences reducing of tooth hypersensitivity between general fluoride toothpaste and hydroxyapatite toothpaste. 2. In operator-performed VAS(ice test), there were significant differences reducing of tooth hypersensitivity among each group, between general fluoride toothpaste and hydroxyapatite toothpaste and between general fluoride toothpaste and strontium fluoride toothpaste. Conclusion: In conclusion, hydroxyapatite toothpaste can be applied for control of tooth hypersensitivity.

TiZrN 코팅의 레이저 침탄에서 탄소 포텐셜에 따른 침입 거동 (Penetration behavior by carbon potential in laser-carburized TiZrN coatings)

  • Laser-carburized TiZrN 코팅의 침탄 공정에서 탄소 페이스트 두께에 따른 탄소의 침투 깊이 및 압축잔류응력 변화를 탄소 포텐셜 측면으로 비교·고찰하였다. 스크린 프린팅과 스핀 코팅 방법을 이용하여 각각 1.1 mm와 0.4 mm의 두께로 탄소 페이스트를 도포하고, 동일한 레이저 조사 조건에서 레이저 침탄을 실시하였다. 탄소 페이스트가 두꺼워질수록 침탄된 TiZrN 시료의 회절 패턴이 더 저각으로 이동하였으며, 고용체 강화 및 격자 왜곡의 심화를 나타내었다. TEM을 이용한 미세구조 분석에서도 두꺼운 페이스트로부터 침탄된 TiZrN 내 결정질 결함이 증가하고 높은 탄소 농도를 보였으며, 이는 페이스트 두께가 두꺼워질수록 탄소 포텐셜도 높아짐을 의미하였다. XPS depth profile 분석에서도 두꺼운 페이스트를 통해 침탄된 TiZrN 시료에서 높은 탄소 농도 및 탄화물 형성을 보이면서, 탄소 페이스트 두께 조절에 의해 침탄에서 표면 탄소농도와 탄소 포텐셜 증가가 일어남을 나타내었다. 아울러, 탄소 농도의 증가는 표면의 압축잔류응력 증가(3.67 GPa에서 4.58 GPa로)에 기여하였음을 확인하였다.

저온소성 형광체 페이스트의 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Low Temperature Calcined Phosphor Paste)

  • 본 연구에서는 LCD BLU에 적용 가능한 면광원용 저온소성 형광체 페이스트(paste)를 제조하여 그 특성을 검토하였다. 형광체 paste에는 저온 소성용 아크릴 레진을 바인더로 사용하였으며, 그 열분해특성을 검토한 결과 $400^{\circ}C$에서 잔탄이 0.1 wt% 이하인 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 제조한 paste로 스크린 인쇄를 통해 면광원용 device를 제작한 결과, 형광체 휘도에 대해 100%에 가까운 발광특성을 나타내었다.

Effects of constituents in CNT pastes on the field emission characteristics of carbon nanotubes

  • Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have been significantly used for the field emitters for display applications. However, the lifetime of CNT emitters which are formed by screen printing technique is not guaranteed yet, because the constituents in CNT paste affect the lifetime of CNTs. The CNT pastes for screen printing are normally composed of organic vehicles (nitro cellulose, ethyl cellulose, etc) and additives (glass frits, ITO, etc) with CNTs. In this study, the effects of constituents in CNT pastes on the lifetime and emission characteristics of CNTs were investigated by thermal and electrical analysis. Use of glass frits worsened the lifetime and electron emission of CNTs. However, an addition of ITO to CNT paste rather improved the lifetime of CNTs. Degradation of CNTs was small when nitro cellulose was used in CNT paste as an organic vehicle.

인덕션 조리용기용 도전성 Paste의 Silver 및 Glass Frit 함량 변화에 따른 미세구조 및 전기적 특성 고찰 (Fabrication of Conductive Pastes for Induction Cookware with the Variation of the Contents of Silver Powder and Glass Frit)

  • Induction cooktop has a great attention due to its safety, quick heating and cleanness compared to gas oven. However, the materials for induction cookware is limited to steel or stainless-steel which has the magnetic property. Recently, it has been tried to apply various porcelain to induction cookware after printing the silver layer on the bottom of cookware plates and co-firing at high temperature. Glass frits are added in the silver paste to improve an adhesion force between porcelain materials containers and transferred silver layer. The hybrid silver pastes for induction cookware requires the proper electrical resistance and the thermal conductivity with base plates. After sintering process at $800^{\circ}C$, a part of melted glass migrated to the porcelain and the rest of the glass frit was exposed to the surface. It was confirmed that most of the glass frit formed an adhesion layer between the porcelain and transferred silver layer that enhances the adhesion force.

An adaptive approach for the chloride diffusivity of cement-based materials

  • Adaptive schemes are constructed in this paper for modeling the effective chloride diffusion coefficient of cement-based materials (paste and concrete). Based on the polarization approximations for the effective conductivity of isotropic multicomponent materials, we develop some fitting procedures to include more information about the materials, to improve the accuracy of the scheme. The variable reference parameter of the approximation involves a few free scalars, which are determined through the available numerical or experimental values of the macroscopic chloride diffusion coefficient of cement paste or concrete at some volume proportions of the component materials. The various factors that affect the chloride diffusivity of cement-based material (porous material structure, uncertainty of value of the chloride diffusion coefficient in water-saturated pore spaces, etc.) may be accounted to make the predictions more accurate. Illustrations of applications are provided in a number of examples to show the usefulness of the approach.

TiO2 입자 크기 및 구조가 시멘트 페이스트 광촉매 효과에 미치는 영향 (Influence of TiO2 Particle Size and Structure on its Photocatalytic Effect in Cement Paste)

  • With the increasing importance of environmental issues, the cementitious materials with self-cleaning or photocatalytic properties by introducing TiO2 materials have been gaining a lot of attention. In this work, the influence of TiO2 particle size and structure on its photocatalytic effect in cement paste was investigated. The degradation of methylene blue solution was used as the parameter for evaluating the photocatalytic effect of micro-TiO2 (m-TiO2), nano-TiO2 (n-TiO2), and TiO2 nanotube (TNT). Moreover, the effect of these three TiO2 materials on the cement hydration products was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and thermgravimetric analysis (TG). According to the results, it can be found that all of the TiO2 materials promoted the formation of hydration products, especially TNT. On the other hand, the m-TiO2 exhibited a better photocatalytic effect compared to other materials.
