  • Interior space of large scale composition facilities influences in walk population of distance according to trade and space rescue and walk population of distance is armed business activity.   • Two dimensional diffusion model test was conducted to investigate the sedimentation properties and consolidation process of reclaimed ground using dredging coarse soil which is composed of passing amount 20 percentage and 45 percentage of #200 sieve size respectively. The passing amount of #200 sieve size affected on sedimentation properties. The coarse soil which is passing amount of 20 percent showed that the sedimentation structure was layered type and passing amount of 45 percentage was wall-partition type according diffusion distance. Furthermore, the water content of surface and section, and distribution of fine soil were changed according to diffusion distance. and the change amount of pore water pressure and strength property when soil is diffused, segregated and accumulated can be applied efficiently in design of dredging and reclamation.

  • An MTBF(mean time between failures) of large scale parallel systems is known to be only an order of several hours, and large computations sometimes result in a waste of huge amount of CPU time, However. the MPI(Message Passing Interface), a de facto standard for message passing parallel programming, suggests no possibility to handle such a problem. In this paper, we propose an application-level fault tolerant computation system, purely on the basis of the current MPI standard without using any non-standard fault tolerant MPI library, that can be used for general scientific synchronous parallel computation.

A Method for the Development of Design Guides for Passing Lenes on Rural Two-Lane Highways (지방부 도로의 양보차선 설계기준 정립을 위한 이론적 연구)

  • The effects of passing lanes on traffic flow on rural two-lane highways have been investigated in this research. Field study results were compared with the computer simulation model, TRARR, TRARR model appears to be in good agreement with field study results except that average speed and distribution of platoon sizes showed a small amount of discrepancy, which is believed to be caused by too large a headway definition of 6 second for a vehicle platoon. Using the TRARR model, 4 situations including the existing condition, installation of passing lanes, improvement of design speed, and expansion to a four lane highway were evaluated. Traffic volume levels of 500,1000, and 1500 vph and truck composition of 20 and 40% were also considered making a total of 24 computer runs. It is concluded in this research that the installation of passing lanes is the most effective method to improve traffic operation on two-lane high ways except the alternative of four lane highway expansion.

  • The simulation of Hydraulic pressure distribution of discharge tube with globular beads and the removal characteristic of Escherichia coli by the discharge tube with globular beads were estimated. The removal characteristic of Escherichia coli was related to the input voltage because the electric field is increased according to input voltage. As the passing amount of test water in discharge tube is increased, the removal ratio of Escherichia coli was increased because passing numbers of electric field section is increased.

  • This study has been performed to develop the practical method to estimate the change of dynamic characteristics of rolling stocks passing on the high speed turnout system. Each part of turnout system are modeled in consideration of alignment, enter angle and amount of deflection and they are used to achieve dynamic analysis with a train model. Analysis results are compared with test results to confirm its validation

  • This paper describes the basic principles of 3D broadcast system and proposes new 3D broadcast technology that reduce the amount of data by applying CS(Compressed Sensing). Differences between Sampling theory and the CS technology concept was described. Recently proposed CS algorithm AMP(Approximate Message Passing) and CoSaMP(Compressive Sampling Matched Pursuit) was described. Image data that compressed and restored by these algorithm was compared. Calculation time of the algorithm having a low complexity is determined.

  • This paper aims to suggest the feasibility of rapid operation scheme generated in preceding study, 'A study on development of operation planning for rapid service in urban railway(An introduction)' through application it to present subway lines in Seoul Metropolitan area. In case of line 3, without the Passing Track 'Turning train outstrip mode' is the best policy. In case of line 4, with the Passing Trank 'Passing track mode' may be the best way to realize the this scheme. Also, there is feasibility in the line 1, line 5, line 6, line 7 but there is no possibility it is applied to line 2 and line 8. In conclusion, this paper is intend to suggest the possibility of rapid operation in urban railway by presenting real operation scheme, time tables and amount of power usage and the number of composing trains and variety of demand,

  • A curved track needs balanced super elevation according to the speed of the passing train and it is limited by maximum allowable amount. Therefore, passing speed at high degree curved track has to be controlled below the limits. Accurate position of the Speed Limit Post(SLP), which shows allowable speed of curved track dose not regulated so design and line side maintenance engineer adopt the position differently, When the rate of cant deficiency is considered on transition-curved section, the SLP should be located at the beginning point of the transition curve so as to control the speed of passing train and it will increase ride quality to passenger.
