  • We define a stratification and a partition of a finite topological space and define a partial order on the partition. Open subsets can be described completely in terms of this partially ordered partition. We associate a directed graph to the partially ordered partition of a finite topological space. This gives a one-to-one correspondence between finite topological spaces and a certain class of directed graphs.

  • If an arrangement admits a nice partition, or an arrangement is free, then the characteristic polynomial of the arrangement can be factored. It is known that a free arrangement does not always admit a nice partition. We show that even an inductively free arrangement does not always admit a nice partition.

  • This paper aims to investigate the characteristics of partition walls which are lightweighted, such as dry walls of gypsum boards. These partition walls are prospected to be new ones to cope with M.C.(Modular Coordination), flexibility, non-bearing system, substitution to masonryworks. Ten kinds of partition walls are varied with core materials and depth, constructions. Acoustic characteristics of these partitions, transmisson loss, are tested in reverberation chambers.

  • In this paper, we study the cellular structure of the G-edge colored partition algebras, when G is a finite group. Further, we classified all the irreducible representations of these algebras using their cellular structure whenever G is a finite cyclic group. Also we prove that the ${\mathbb{Z}}/r{\mathbb{Z}}$-Edge colored partition algebras are quasi-hereditary over a field of characteristic zero which contains a primitive $r^{th}$ root of unity.

  • RFID-based Smart cabinets can make a recognition error owing to the electromagnetic wave interference. This paper proposes and implements a smart cabinet system for inventory management using RFID, especially which can be applied to biological laboratories. We calculate the optimal value of partition distance for the higher recognition rate between RFID tags and the reader, and the optimal partition thickness for electromagnetic wave absorption to achieve the higher recognition rate, in which two kinds of the partitions have been tested, a pure steel partition with various thickness and a thin steel partition attached with electromagnetic waves absorber. The experimental results show that the most recommended partition structure for the smart cabinets is one with the partition distance of 30cm and the partition thickness of 1mm attached with the electromagnetic wave absorption tapes.

  • In temporal database, extended time dimension for history management brings about complexity of join operation and increased cost. To solve this problem, a method that joins the divided segment time data after partition the time range into fixed time interval is introduced. But existing methods can't solve the ambiguity problem of time border that caused by temporal granularity in the partition point. In this paper, We suggested Fuzzy Minimum Interval Partition (FMIP) method that introduced the possibility distribution of fuzzy theory considered uncertainty time interval border in the partition line.

  • In the case of a partition panel for a vehicle, it is used as a vehicle chassis component that serves to distinguish the indoor and outdoor spaces of a vehicle and is mounted on a backrest portion of the vehicle's back seat to ensure the convenience of passengers by connecting the floor and the side of the vehicle. Because it is a relatively large-sized plate material among automobile chassis parts except the moving parts and non-ferrous materials can be applied, it is considered as a part having a large light-weight effect. However, the partition panel is one of the vehicle parts that must satisfy the light-weight effect as well as various structural reliability, such as torsional rigidity, vibration, and impact characteristics, for securing the running stability of the vehicle when driving at the same time. So, In this study, the possibility of replacing the aluminum partition panel as CFRP(Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) partition panel is evaluated through comparing the two partition panels by using the structural reliability(stiffness/strength analysis), vibration analysis, impact analysis.

  • Let $P_J$ be a standard parabolic subgroup of a Chevalley group G and $U_J$ the unipotent radical of $P_J$. In this paper, we find a certain partition of the set of roots corresponding to root subgroups generating $U_J$ and investigate some properties of the partition.

  • We obtain a two variable generating function for the number of triangular partitions. Using this generating function, we study arithmetic properties of a certain weighted count of triangular partitions. Finally, we introduce a rank-type function for triangular partitions, which gives a combinatorial explanation for a triangular partition congruence.

  • In traditional target-based data deduplication system, all of the files should be chunked and compared for reducing duplicated data blocks. One of the critical problem of this system arises as the number of files are increasing. The system suffers from computational delay for calculating hash value and processing metadata for handling each file. To overcome this problem, in this paper, we propose a novel data deduplication system using logical partition of storage system. The system applies data deduplication scheme to each logical partition not each file. Experiment result shows that the proposed system is more efficient compared with traditional deduplication scheme where the logical partition is full of files by 50% in terms of deduplication capacity and processing time.
