Intermittent failures exercise their effects only part of the time but constitute a dominant factor for the field failures. We consider the data raliability of the partially self-checking network with which a single intermittent failure will be recovered by a rollback method. Even if the self-testingness of partially self-checking network is guranteed for a set of permanent failures, it sometimes may not be so for intermittent failures. We introduce the notion of error residual and provide the basis for calculating the data reliability. Both the duration of each intermittent failure and the occurrence interval of successive ones are assumed to be negative exponentially distributed; the convolution of the intervals is distributed according to an Erlangen distribution.

Autologistic lattice process is used to model binary spatial data. A conditional probability is derived for the incomplete data where the lattice consists of partially yet systematically observed sites. This result, which is interesting in its own right, is in turn applied to area prediction in the plane.

We prove some uniqueness theorems of nonconstant meromorphic functions partially sharing values with their shifts. As an application, we obtain a sufficient condition on periodic meromorphic functions. Moreover, some examples are given to illustrate that the conditions are sharp and necessary.

본 연구는 파형복부 PSC 거더의 사용성 개선과 프리스트레싱 효율성의 장점을 동시에 얻을 수 있도록 좌굴 특성을 고려한 부분 파형강판을 복부에 설치한 PSC 거더를 제안하고 정적재하 실험을 통하여 제안된 부분파형 PSC 거더의 거동특성을 평가하였다.

In this paper, partially repairable concurrent spare parts requirement determination problem of newly procured equipment systems is considered. “partially repairable” means that a portion of damaged parts can be recover their function and reused after repairs. A mathematical model is derived for making an CSP requirement determination subject to the constraint of satisfying any given operational availability limitation. We assume that the failure of a part follows a Poisson process and the repair time has an exponential distribution. Using the generalized Lagrange multipliers method, the solution procedure is derived.

We propose coupled fixed point theorems for maps satisfying contractive conditions involving a rational expression in the setting of partially ordered metric spaces. We also present a result on the existence and uniqueness of coupled fixed points. In particular, it is shown that the results existing in the literature are extend, generalized, unify and improved by using mixed monotone property. Given to support the useability of our results, and to distinguish them from the known ones.

In this paper we prove certain coupled coincidence point and coupled common fixed point results in partially ordered metric spaces for a pair of compatible mappings which satisfy certain rational inequality. The results are supported with two examples.

In this paper, we prove some fixed-point theorems in partially ordered fuzzy metric spaces for (𝜙, 𝜓, 𝛽)-Geraghty contraction type mappings which are generalization of mappings with Geraghty contraction type condition. Application of the derived results are shown in proving the existence of unique solution to some boundary value problems.

The Terracini t-locus of an embedded variety X ⊂ ℙ^r is the set of all cardinality t subsets of the smooth part of X at which a certain differential drops rank, i.e., the union of the associated double points is linearly dependent. We give an easy to check criterion to exclude some sets from the Terracini loci. This criterion applies to tensors and partially symmetric tensors. We discuss the non-existence of codimension 1 Terracini t-loci when t is the generic X-rank.

In this article, we utilize the concepts of hybrid rational Geraghty type generalized F-contraction and to prove some fixed point results for such mappings are in the perspective of partially ordered b-metric like space. Some innovative examples are also presented which substantiate the validity of obtained results. The example is also authenticated with the help of graphical representations.
