  • In this paper, we study the curvature of locally symmetric or semi-symmetric half lightlike submanifolds M of an indefinite Kenmotsu manifold $\bar{M}$, whose structure vector field is tangent to M. After that, we study the existence of the totally geodesic screen distribution of half lightlike submanifolds of indefinite Kenmotsu manifolds with parallel co-screen distribution subject to the conditions: (1) M is locally symmetric, or (2) the lightlike transversal connection is flat.

  • This paper is devoted to study Ricci semi-symmetric lightlike hypersurfaces of an indefinite cosymplectic space form with structure vector field tangent to hypersurface. The condition for Ricci tensor of lightlike hypersurface of indefinite cosymplectic space form to be semi-symmetric and parallel have been obtained. An example of non-totally geodesic Ricci semi-symmetric lightlike hypersurface in $R^7_2$ have been given.

  • It is known that there are no real hypersurfaces with parallel Ricci tensor in a nonflat complex space form ([6], [9]). In this paper we investigate real hypersurfaces in a complex projective space $P_n\mathbb{C}$ using some conditions of the Ricci tensor S which are weaker than ${\nabla}S=0$. We characterize Hopf hypersurfaces of $P_n\mathbb{C}$.

  • We have developed a three-axis configurational in situ SMOKE apparatus by which three-dimensional vector magnetization reversal processes are studied for ultrathin Co films grown on a Pd (111) single crystal in the thickness range of spin-reorientation transition. This study provides a better understanding of magnetization reversal motions with the knowledge of 3 components of magnetization vector at the transition of an easy axis of magnetization from the film normal at 5 ML Co to in-plane at 6 ML Co (ML notes monolayer). For a 5.25 ML Co, it was observed that a slightly canted magnetization vector from the film normal rotated in the film plane under an applied field direction parallel to the film normal.

  • The paper deals with lightlike hypersurfaces which are locally symmetric, semi-symmetric and Ricci semi-symmetric in indefinite Kenmotsu manifold having constant $\bar{\phi}$-holomorphic sectional curvature c. We obtain that these hypersurfaces are totally goedesic under certain conditions. The non-existence condition of locally symmetric lightlike hyper-surfaces are given. Some Theorems of specific lightlike hypersurfaces are established. We prove, under a certain condition, that in lightlike hyper-surfaces of an indefinite Kenmotsu space form, tangent to the structure vector field, the parallel, semi-parallel, local symmetry, semi-symmetry and Ricci semi-symmetry notions are equivalent.

  • The solar magnetic field comes from the solar interior and is related to various phenomena on the Sun. To understand this process, many studies have been conducted to produce its evolution using a single flux rope. In this study, we are interested in the emergence of two flux ropes and their evolution, which takes longer than the emergence of a single flux rope. To construct it, we develop a flux emergence simulation by applying a parallel computing to reduce a computation time in a wider domain. The original simulation code had been written in Fortran 77. We modify it to a version of Fortran 90 with Message Passing Interface (MPI). The results of the original and new simulation are compared on the NEC SX-Aurora TSUBASA which is a vector engine processor. The parallelized version is faster than running on a single core and it shows a possibility to handle large amounts of calculation. Based on this model, we can construct a complex flux emergence system, such as an evolution of two magnetic flux ropes.

  • Let M be a semi-invariant submanifold of codimension 3 with almost contact metric structure (, ξ, η, g) in a complex space form Mn+1(c), c ≠ 0. We denote by Rξ = R(·, ξ)ξ and A(i) be Jacobi operator with respect to the structure vector field ξ and be the second fundamental form in the direction of the unit normal C(i), respectively. Suppose that the third fundamental form t satisfies dt(X, Y ) = 2g(X, Y ) for certain scalar (≠ 2c)and any vector fields X and Y and at the same time Rξ is ∇ξξ-parallel, then M is a Hopf hypersurface in Mn(c) provided that it satisfies RξA(1) = A(1)Rξ, RξA(2) = A(2)Rξ and ${\bar{r}}-2(n-1)c{\leq}0$, where ${\bar{r}}$ denotes the scalar curvature of M.

  • Let M be a semi-invariant submanifold of codimension 3 with almost contact metric structure (φ, ξ, η, g) in a complex space form Mn+1(c). We denote by Rξ the structure Jacobi operator with respect to the structure vector field ξ and by ${\bar{r}}$ the scalar curvature of M. Suppose that Rξ is φ∇ξξ-parallel and at the same time the third fundamental form t satisfies dt(X, Y) = 2θg(φX, Y) for a scalar θ(≠ 2c) and any vector fields X and Y on M. In this paper, we prove that if it satisfies Rξφ = φRξ, then M is a Hopf hypersurface of type (A) in Mn+1(c) provided that ${\bar{r}-2(n-1)c}$ ≤ 0.

  • In this work the AC loss measurement setup based on an iron core background magnet, not used in a conventional one, has been successfully developed. To prove its validity, a round-robin test for the same Bi-2223 tape sample among three institutes has been done. The results show that the self-field and magnetization losses from the developed setup well agree with the losses measured at two other institutes of Korea Basic Science Institute and Yokohama National University. The measured magnetization losses for parallel or perpendicular fields can be well predicted from the slab model or the strip model for a filamentary region. However the magnetization losses for longitudinal fields can be rather predicted by the slab model for a decoupled filament. The self-field losses are well explained by the Norris ellipse model.
