  • The purpose of this study is to find the relationship between the infants' mother's parenting stresses and their environmental factors. The participants were 625 employed and 1453 non employed mothers from the Korean children panel in 2008. The collected data were analyzed by t-test and hierarchical regressions. The results are as follows. 1) The infant mothers experienced the medium level of parenting stresses. They reported the high level stresses in the parenting costs, the selecting parenting information, and the responsibility in their child's emotional stability. 2) The non employed mothers perceived more difficulties in the parenting situations than the employed mothers. The employed mothers perceived their environment and their parenting itself in positive way. They were in the good psychological conditions, having a well relationship with the husbands. They also had more knowledge in the child rearing and social supports. 3) The mother's psychological factors showed the high explanation power on their parenting stresses. 4) The father's parenting assistant affected the mother's parenting stresses only in the non employed mother.

  • A reliable steady/transient hydro-elastic analysis is developed for flexible (composite) marine propeller blade design which deforms according to its environmental load (ship speed, revolution speed, wake distribution, etc.) Hydro-elastic analysis based on CFD and FEM has been widely used in the engineering field because of its accurate results however it takes large computation time to apply early propeller design stage. Therefore the analysis based on a boundary element method-Finite Element Method (BEM-FEM) Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) is introduced for computational efficiency and accuracy. The steady FSI analysis, and its application to reverse engineering, is designed for use regarding optimum geometry and ply stack design. A time domain two-way coupled transient FSI analysis is developed by considering the hydrodynamic damping ffects of added mass due to fluid around the propeller blade. The analysis makes possible to evaluate blade strength and also enable to do risk assessment by estimating the change in performance and the deformation depending on blade position in the ship's wake. To validate this hydro-elastic analysis methodology, published model test results of P5479 and P5475 are applied to verify the steady and the transient FSI analysis, respectively. As the results, the proposed steady and unsteady analysis methodology gives sufficient accuracy to apply flexible marine propeller design.

  • A new type of high precision electromagnetic suspension (EMS) which can support heavy tray along long stroke rail is proposed in this paper. Compared with the conventional EMS, the suggested moving-core typed EMS has the levitation electromagnets (EMs) on the fixed rail. This scheme has high load capability caused by iron-core and enables simple tray structure. Also it does not have precision degradation caused by heat generation from EMs, which is a drawback of conventional EMS. With these merits, the proposed EMS can be an optimal contactless linear bearing in next generation flat panel display (FPD) manufacturing process if the ability of long stroke movement is proved. So a special Section Switching Algorithm (SSA) is derived from the resultant force and moment equations of the levitated tray which enables long stroke movement of the tray. In order to verify the feasibility of the suggested SSA, a simple test-setup of the EMS with 2 Section-changes is made up and servo-controlled in the simulation and experiment. The simulation shows the perfect changeover the EMs, and the experiment shows overall control performance of under ${\pm}40{\mu}m$ gap deviations. These results reveal that the newly suggested contactless linear bearing can simultaneously achieve high load capability and precision gap control as well as long stroke.

  • Recently, Contactless Power Supply(CPS) system has been broadly studied as a power supply system for Flat Panel Display(FPD) material transfer equipments. In mass production line, CPS systems on material transfer equipment are applied only in the straight sections with single operating vehicle. The formal CPS system was not adequate for curved section nor multiple operating vehicles. Therefore, this paper presents CPS system that consists of straight and curved section with multiple operation vehicles. The circuit topology of CPS system consists of full bridge configured serial-parallel resonant DC/DC converter. The control method for CPS system consists of duty control method on the primary power supply system to maintain constant resonant current. And the secondary power supply systems of multiple vehicles are self controled to maintain constant output voltage. Practically, the test result of dual vehicles on straight and curved section of material transfer equipments were satisfactory, and proved it's applicability on commercial use.

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to develop programs that help students adjust to school and provide basic data for the students who have difficulty adjusting to school by analyzing the influence of elementary school students' stress and their relationship with parents on school adjustment. Methods: The study surveyed fourth graders in 3 elementary schools in G district. The researcher used convenience sampling to select the 3 elementary schools. The combined 158 students were selected for the analysis, and the survey was conducted for a month in September 2011. The stress monitoring tool used in the 5th year of Korean Youth Panel Survey was mobilized to measure levels of stress among the participants. To measure the parent-child relationship, the Korean Parent-Child Relationships Scale was used. For the measurement of school adjustment, a tool designed to identify the school adjustment of elementary school students was used. The SPSS 21 software and a two-sided test under the significance level of ${\alpha}=0.05$ were used to analyze data. The regression analysis was also used to identify the relative influence of the stress and parent-child relationship on children's adjustment to school. Results: The regression analysis has found the following: the higher peer stress (B=-0.175) and parental strictness (B=-0.159) grow, the lower the level of school adjustment gets; the higher the level of intimacy between parent and child gets, the higher the level of school adjustment grows; and intimacy between parent and child (${\beta}=0.400$) has the largest influence on the child's school adjustment. Conclusions: For elementary school students to be well adjusted to school, their stress and relationships with their parents should be managed. In particular, using the programs that can reduce stress from peers and increase parent-child intimacy will be effective in helping students adjust to school.

  • Submerged arc welding method from both sides is generally applied to the welding of main panel manufacturing process during ship construction. The tandem SAW method is applied to improve the productivity. The various weld defects that occur during tandem SAW method are melt through, incomplete penetration, undercut and overlap etc. It could be thought that the reasons for these defects are mainly lack of prediction ability for penetration depth and deposited metal area. In this research, total 5 kinds of welding factors for experiment like current of lead pole, voltage of lead pole, current of trail pole, voltage of trail pole and welding speed are adopted. Weld tests are carried out for the analysis of variation effects of these factors on penetration depth and deposited metal area. Based on the test and analysis results, it is possible to obtain the prediction equation for the effect of these factors on the amount of deposited metal and penetration depth. As per the verification of the results by additional tests, it is confirmed that the prediction equation, include a error margin of ${\pm}2mm$ for penetration depth and ${\pm}10mm2$ for deposited metal area.

  • Here is a research on hospital foodservice system, when korea traditional food of pyeon yuk and bin dae deok were used by ready-prepared foodservice system, it was estimated the preservations of microbiological quality and sensory quality. All data collection was replicated three times. The results were as following; 1. In time and temperature data, two menu items were needed internal temperature below $7^{\circ}C$ in a cooling stage, and in the case of cook/chill storage, the days were shortened within weeks, and the holding time must be possiblely minimized. Finally foods were served sanitary. 2. In view of microbiological safety, in the case of cook/chill storage as $0{\sim}4^{\circ}C$ the days must be shortened within 2 weeks and its was possible to store until 6 weeks in $-20{\sim}-23.3^{\circ}C$. So to preserve pre-cooked food longly, it was effective to freeze them quickly by using vacuum package and to reheat them by a microwave oven before serving and to serve lastly in microbiological quality. 3. Hospital ready-prepared foodservice system with food storage in plastic bags, biochemical test of C. Perfingens C. botulinum and Salmonella were not detected. 4. By using of a microwave oven, it had effects of thawing, reheating and sterilizing of chilled and frozen foods in a short time. 5. Sensory evaluations were made by a 10-member panel using five scoring tests. Because sensory of quality was lowered in the case of chilled storage, it was possible to serve foods within 2 weeks. Texture and aroma were preserved by cook/frozen system and usually there was no significance from 4 weeks until 6 weeks, but considering of the objects, it was good to store until 4 weeks in sensory quality.

  • An experimental study was performed to evaluate seismic reduction performance and applicability of 3-dimensional floor isolation system to the main control room of nuclear power plant. A friction pendulum system(FPS) and air spring were designed and fabricated for 3-dimensional floor isolation system. Two kind of the partial experimental model of a main control room attached to the FPS and air spring were tested on the shaking table. The experimental model consisted of a control panel, a $2.5m{\times}2.5m$ access floor, four FPS and air springs. The artificial time histories based on the vertical and horizontal floor response spectrums(OBE, SSE) of the main control room were used as the earthquake input signals in the test. Compared to non-isolated system, the seismic response of experimental models using 3-dimensional floor isolation system were shown considerable seismic reduction performance.

  • This study is aimed to test the moderating effects of social support networks of parents and children on the relationships between poverty, marital discord, and child abuse. This study utilized the first wave of the Korea Welfare Panel Study, conducted in 2006. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to examine the effects of poverty, marital discord, and social support networks of parents and children on child abuse. The results show that poverty and marital discord have positive(+) effects on child abuse and that social support networks of parents and children have negative (-) effects on child abuse. This study also tested the moderating effects of social support networks of parents and children on the relationships between poverty, marital discord, and child abuse. The results confirm that social support networks of both parents and children can moderate the effects of poverty and marital discord on child abuse. That is, when the level of social support networks of parents and children are high, the influences of poverty and marital discord on child abuse becomes smaller or insignificant. Implications of study findings, which includes child protection strategies through improvements in supports for parents and their children are discussed.
