  • Let (R, m) be a 2-dimensional regular local ring with algebraically closed residue field R/m. Let K be the quotient field of R and v be a prime divisor of R, i.e., a valuation of K which is birationally dominating R and residually transcendental over R. Zariski showed that there are finitely many simple v-ideals $m=P_0\;{\supset}\;P_1\;{\supset}\;{\cdotS}\;{\supset}\;P_t=P$ and all the other v-ideals are uniquely factored into a product of those simple ones. It then was also shown by Lipman that the predecessor of the smallest simple v-ideal P is either simple (P is free) or the product of two simple v-ideals (P is satellite), that the sequence of v-ideals between the maximal ideal and the smallest simple v-ideal P is saturated, and that the v-value of the maximal ideal is the m-adic order of P. Let m = (x, y) and denote the v-value difference |v(x) - v(y)| by $n_v$. In this paper, if the m-adic order of P is 2, we show that $O(P_i)\;=\;1\;for\;1\;{\leq}\;i\; {\leq}\;{\lceil}\;{\frac{b+1}{2}}{\rceil}\;and\;O(P_i)\;=2\;for\;{\lceil}\;\frac{b+3}{2}\rceil\;{\leq}\;i\;\leq\;t,\;where\;b=n_v$. We also show that $n_w\;=\;n_v$ when w is the prime divisor associated to a simple v-ideal $Q\;{\supset}\;P$ of order 2 and that w(R) = v(R) as well.

  • The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new class of rings that is closely related to the classes of pseudo valuation rings (PVRs) and pseudo-almost valuation domains (PAVDs). A commutative ring R is said to be ${\phi}$-ring if its nilradical Nil(R) is both prime and comparable with each principal ideal. The name is derived from the natural map ${\phi}$ from the total quotient ring T(R) to R localized at Nil(R). A prime ideal P of a ${\phi}$-ring R is said to be a ${\phi}$-pseudo-strongly prime ideal if, whenever $x,y{\in}R_{Nil(R)}$ and $(xy){\phi}(P){\subseteq}{\phi}(P)$, then there exists an integer $m{\geqslant}1$ such that either $x^m{\in}{\phi}(R)$ or $y^m{\phi}(P){\subseteq}{\phi}(P)$. If each prime ideal of R is a ${\phi}$-pseudo strongly prime ideal, then we say that R is a ${\phi}$-pseudo-almost valuation ring (${\phi}$-PAVR). Among the properties of ${\phi}$-PAVRs, we show that a quasilocal ${\phi}$-ring R with regular maximal ideal M is a ${\phi}$-PAVR if and only if V = (M : M) is a ${\phi}$-almost chained ring with maximal ideal $\sqrt{MV}$. We also investigate the overrings of a ${\phi}$-PAVR.

  • Let k be an infinite field and let $X = {P_1, \cdots, P_s}$ be a set of s-distinct points in $P^n$. We denote by $I(X)$ the defining ideal of $X$ in the polynomial ring $R = k[x_0, \cdots, x_n]$ and by A the homogeneous coordinate ring of $X, A = \sum_{t = 0}^{\infty} A_t$.

  • We investigate in this paper rings containing a finitely generated p-injective maximal left ideal. We show that if R is a semiprime ring containing a finitely generated p-injective maximal left ideal, then R is a left p-injective ring. Using this result we are able to give a new characterization of von Neumann regular rings with nonzero socle.

  • In this paper we introduce the notion of weakly prime left ideals in near-subtraction semigroups. Equivalent conditions for a left ideal to be weakly prime are obtained. We have also shown that if (M, L) is a weak $m^*$-system and if P is a left ideal which is maximal with respect to containing L and not meeting M, then P is weakly prime.

  • In this paper, we introduce the concepts of 1-prime ideals and 2-prime ideals in semirings. We have also introduced $m_1$-system and $m_2$-system in semiring. We have shown that if Q is an ideal in the semiring R and if M is an $m_2$-system of R such that $\overline{Q}{\bigcap}M={\emptyset}$ then there exists as 2-prime ideal P of R such that Q $\subseteq$ P with $P{\bigcap}M={\emptyset}$.

  • In this paper, we investigate and characterize the class of A-semirings. A characterization of the Thierrin radical of a proper ideal of an A-semiring is given. Moreover, when P is a Q-ideal in the semiring R, it is shown that P is primary if and only if R/P is nilpotent.

  • Hong et al. [2] and Jun et al. [4] introduced the notion of k-nil radical in a BCI-algebra, and investigated its some properties. In this paper, we discuss the further properties on the k-nil radical. Let A be a subset of a BCI-algebra X. We show that the k-nil radical of A is the union of branches. We prove that if A is an ideal then the k-nil radical [A;k] is a p-ideal of X, and that if A is a subalgebra, then the k-nil radical [A;k] is a closed p-ideal, and hence a strong ideal of X.

  • The objective of this paper is to find the density, stiffness, and strength of truss-wall diamond corrugation model combined with pinwheel truss inside space. The truss-wall diamond corrugation (TDC) model is defined as a unit cell coming from solid-wall diamond corrugation (SDC) model. Pinwheel truss-wall diamond corrugation (P-TDC) model is made by TDC connected with pinwheel structure inside of the space. Derived ideal solutions of P-TDC is based on truss-wall and pinwheel truss model at first. And then it is compared with Gibson-Ashby's ideal solution. To validate the ideal solutions of the P-TDC, ABAQUS software is used to predict the density, strength, and stiffness, and then each of them are compared to the ideal solution of Gibson-Ashby with a log-log scale. Applied material property is stainless steel 304 because of having cost effectiveness. Applied parameters for P-TDC are 1 thru 5 mm diameter within fixed opening width as 4mm. In conclusion, the relative Young's modulus and relative yield strength of the P-TDC unit model is reasonable matched to the ideal expectations of the Gibson-Ashby's theory. In nearby future, P-TDC model is hoped to be applied to make sandwich core structure by advanced technologies such as 3D printing skills.
