Recently domestic youth unemployment rate has increased continuously. The cause is due to construction recession. As a result, the youth unemployment rate was approximately 8.0% in 2013. In particular, graduates of civil engineers and architecture engineers are difficult to find a new job. Major construction companies also prefer new employees rather than career employees. Therefore, the employment rate of construction-related university graduates is continuing decline. Accordingly, construction and technical engineers will be aging. Therefore, this study was looking for ways to promote the overseas expansion of young construction engineers. And this research has suggested the ways which young engineers can find a new job through improving the system.

Overseas construction orders of domestic companies had been increased significantly in a short period from $10.9 billion in 2005 to $64.9 billion in 2012. However experts are concerned that quality of growth will not support quantitative growth. This study suggest concentrate competencies for not only winning in bid but also successful execution of domestic companies. 4 Steps which are Pre-Marketing, Bid-Preparation, Bidding, Contract Phase are defined for competency assessment. After drawing specific tasks by phase, survey asking importance and capability of the tasks to the person in charge of bidding and site was conducted by utilizing Likert 7 point scale. According to the result of IPA analysis, domestic construction companies need to ensure internal competencies; Project risk review, Bid team organization, and external competencies; Client needs grasp, Localization strategy, Cooperation establishment. Hearafter domestic construction companies will be able to utilize the result of the study for setting bidding strategy for winning in bid and improving earning rate.

The Construction Management contracting method and administration system had introduced to Korea 10 years ago. The actual CM consulting contract has adapted just for 5 years only. The CM administration system proves lots of innovative construction practices, upgrading construction industry from corporations to site operations. However, there are more tasks to the CM professionals to revitalize CM contracting methods and administration system. This research investigated what CM has achieved for the past 10 years and what CM should accomplish for the coming 10 years as future strategy and missions. Overseas CM practices are reviewed and domestic market, regulations, requirements are investigated through structured interviewed and in-depth survey to CM professionals. Many interesting issues were found through research process and those topics were categorized by industry, academy and government for defining current problems and future tasks. These issues for future strategy and mission needs to be utilized to develop future CM contracting methods and administration system. The system to follow up these meaningful results of CM is important for the future progress.

Green growth is summarized as the national growth strategies to enhance the quality of life as a whole by converting not only the lifestyle but the economic and industrial structures into the low carbon and eco-friendly environments with the green growth industries with low carbon as the momentum for new growth, based on green technologies including renewable energy technologies, energy and resource efficient technologies, converging technologies related to technologies to reduce the environmental pollution. Roles of the construction industry along with other industries are very important in securing justifications for the cooperation between our government and industries for challenges to this green growth as well. The national effects of economy are very large from leading the construction industry to the green construction from the national level. Accordingly, this study suggested responsive plans for both government and companies for the activation of green construction by selecting 15 frontier green construction products and analyzing them by the type of strategy in Korea, as well as analyzing recent trends of overseas green construction.

In these days, international construction market including construction companies has much grown due to globalization and economic boom in the mid 2000's. The size of international construction market, measured with overseas revenue of 225 construction firms, has expanded 2.7 times from 2003 to 2008 according to the ENR. However, after the global financial crisis of 2008 it has faced condition of low growth. In this research, major changes of international construction market and top contractors have been studied. In this study, changes of international construction market have been analyzed in the aspect of region and product including general buildings, transportation, petroleum, etc. Then, in order to find the changes of top contractors which obtained good accomplishment, business performance of companies have been examined by the compound annual growth rate, profit margin and international revenue by comparing the data before 2008 and after. The purpose of the study is to understand major changes of international construction market. Also, strategy changes of top contractors against market stagnation, profit depreciation, high competition have been inferred through the study. The result of the study would contribute to analyzing the strategies of construction companies in international market.

Unlike conventional construction production methods, OSC (Off-Site Construction) have many restrictions depending on the production environment and technology, so it is important to develop a design plan considering these restrictions and select the optimal design alternative considering the overall efficiency of the building production process. Accordingly, the construction industry is paying attention to DfMA (Design for Manufacturing & Assembly) to derive the optimal design plan for the OSC project. Leading OSC countries such as Singapore and the United Kingdom have recognized the need to apply DfMA and presented DfMA guidelines and application strategies suitable for the characteristics of the OSC industry, and several researchers are conducting research to integrate DfMA into the construction industry. However, in the case of Korea, the need for industrial application and industrial application of DfMA is recognized, but there are no methods and tools necessary to implement the concept of DfMA in the design of actual construction projects. Therefore, this study aims to present the basic direction of strategy for applying DfMA and developing tools for the development of the domestic OSC industry by analyzing the development and application of DfMA in overseas construction. The results of this study can be used as basic data for the development of DfMA tools suitable for the domestic OSC industry and the establishment of policies related to DfMA in the future.

Recently, there has been inter-Korean exchanges are active, in company with an assertive international activity with North Korea and inter-Korean Summits. Thus, there is a growing possibility of Korean reunification. However, when the unification situation occurs, population inflow by North Korean residents will be expected, and it will be necessary to prepare a housing supply strategy. In addition, even if North Koreans are prevented from entering, a plan is necessary to ensure structural safety since most buildings in North Korea are aging and a recent natural disaster occurs frequently. In this research, we will try to present a temporary housing supply strategy and a short-term structural reinforcement plan based on analysis of the standard housing conditions in North Korea. In this research, we represent the analysis result of the existing construction level, supply status and structural performance of North Korea. When we consider the reinforcement period and social costs, a short-term reinforcement plan is recommended rather than the full reinforcement of the aged housing in North Korea. Furthermore, we examine the ways to secure the residential safety of North Koreans through a case study of domestic and overseas temporary residential facilities, until the permanent residential facilities were supplied. According to the analysis, the tent houses were used as a form of relief housing in overseas frequently. However, the tent house is difficult to apply for domestic country with clear seasons due to insulation and heating problems. Therefore, it is appropriate to develop a residential supply strategy as focusing on the temporary housing facilities in assembled or container from, in preparation for the future population inflow.

Strategic planning is an essential function of senior management in any business firm. Planning involves the firm's behavior in an competitive market and adaptation of the company's resources towards the selected market strategy. This study presents a methodological procedure for strategic planning in global top-tier construction firms. This procedure consists of the following stages. First, analyzed growth of revenue in which weight of total construction firms' revenue shown in Global Top 225 Contractors(ENR). Second, analyzed specialty of construction products. The products are General Building, Power, Water Supply, Industrial/Petroleum Process, and Transportation. Third, analyzed business the portfolio plan. The business portfolio plan includes both local/overseas market and specification/diversification of construction products. It affects the subsequent choice of a benchmarking for development of each construction company. The choice of the benchmarking firm, among several available alternatives, should follow a careful analysis of the characteristics and benefits inherent in the implementation of each.

As one of promising solutions to overcome high oil price and energy crisis, the construction market of high value-added LNG plants is spotlighted world widely. The purpose of this study is to introduce LNG-RBI system to develop risk assessment technology with RAM(Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) modules against overseas monopolization. After analyzing relevant specific features and their technical levels, risk assessment program, non-destructive reliability evaluation strategy and safety criteria unification class are derived as core technologies. These IT-based convergence technologies can be used for enhancement of LNG plant efficiency, in which the modular parts are related to a system with artificial optimized algorithms as well as diverse databases of facility inspection and diagnosis fields.

In this study, can do on the basis of Vietnam advance connection domestic?outside literature investigation and virtue study through theoretical investigation according to these purpose and behaved theoretical investigation and lift construction materials allied industry, labor-intensive manufacturing industry, fisheries farm produce cultivation, processing household mascot etc. as energy industry, refined oil and petrochemical industry, electric-power industry, other field by our country medium and small enterprise.
