According to the 7-th curriculum, irrational number should be introduced using repeating decimals in 8-th grade mathematics. To do so, the relation between rational numbers and repeating decimals such that a number is rational number if and only if it can be represented by a repeating decimal, should be examined closely Since this relation lacks clarity in some text books, irrational numbers have only slight relation with repeating decimals in those books. Furthermore, some text books introduce irrational numbers showing that $\sqrt{2}$ is not rational number, which is out of 7-th curriculum. On the other hand, if we use numeral 0 as a repetend, many results related to repeating decimals can be represented concisely. In particular, the treatments of order relation with repeating decimals in 8-th grade text books must be reconsidered.

Z. Cao had proposed NFRM(new fuzzy reasoning method) which infers in detail using relation matrix. In spite of the small inference rules, it shows good performance than mamdani's fuzzy inference method. But the most of fuzzy systems are difficult to make fuzzy inference rules in the case of MIMO system. The past days, We had proposed the MIMO fuzzy inference which had extended a Z. Cao's fuzzy inference to handle MIMO system. But many times and effort needed to determine the relation matrix elements of MIMO fuzzy inference by heuristic and trial and error method in order to improve inference performances. In this paper, we propose a MIMO fuzzy inference method with the learning ability witch is used a gradient descent method in order to improve the performances. Through the computer simulation studies for the inverse kinematics problem of 2-axis robot, we show that proposed inference method using a gradient descent method has good performances.

In this paper we analyze the Korean foods and sensory adjectives that can be used for the taste expression of corresponding food based on the fuzzy relation. In order to construct fuzzy relation we gathered and chose 87 related Korean adjectives for expressing not only taste but also smell from foods. After then we performed a sensory evaluation for 51 Korean foods with 20 subjects to check the proper adjectives when they take a food. Based on the data collected by the evaluation a fuzzy relation is constructed and used for the analysis of the properties of food and adjectives. In addition the composition of the fuzzy relation provides the fuzzy tolerance(compatibility) relation among foods as well as that among adjectives. From the fuzzy complete ${\alpha}$-cover of the relations we could explore the taxonomy of food or adjectives. We expect that the fuzzy relation-based scheme in the paper can be utilized for analysis of the sensory adjectives like smelling and tactile sensation.

By proving a summation formula, we enumerate the expansions for the mock theta functions of order 2 in terms of partial mock theta functions of order 2, 3 and 6. We show a relation between Ramanujan's ${\mu}(q)$-function and his sixth order mock theta functions. In addition, we also give the continued fraction representation for ${\mu}(q)$ and 2nd order mock theta functions and $Pad\acute{e}$ approximants.

This study is to review the content organization and developmental ways of the unit on the mixed calculations and explore the alternatives on the basis of students' responsive examples and error patterns with relation to the mixed calculations, mnemonics of PEMDAS and historical context with relation to the order of operations. Then I analyzed the textbook and manual for teachers of the unit of mixed calculations of fourth grade and improvement about teaching the mixed calculations. First, I pointed out illogical connection between practical problem and rules of order of operations. Second, I suggested constructing a textbook by considering conventional character of order of operations. Third, I pointed out the importance of structural understanding of an expression of mixed calculations and various strategies with relation to teaching and learning. This study is suggestive for textbook development of the mixed calculations.

The Snyder's synthetic unit hydrograph method is selected to apply the concept of the fractal dimension by stream order for the practicable rainfall-runoff generation, and fourth types of the Snyder's relation are derived from topographic and observed unit hydrograph data of twenty-nine basins. As a result of the analysis of twenty-nine basins and the verification of two basins, the Snyder's relation which considers the fractal dimension of the stream length and uses calculated unit hydrograph data shows the best result. The concept of the fractal dimension by stream order is applied to the Snyder's synthetic unit hydrograph method. The topographic factors, used in the Snyder's synthetic unit hydrograph method, which have a property of the stream length like $L_{ma}$ (mainstream length) and $L_{ca}$ (length along the mainstream to a point nearest the watershed centroid) were considered. In order to simplify the fractal property of stream length, it is supposed that $L_{ma}$ has not the fractal dimension and the stream length between $L_{ma}$ and ($L_{ma}\;-\;L_{ca}$) has the fractal dimension of 1.027. From the utilization of this supposition, a new Snyder's relation which consider the fractal dimension of the stream length occurred by the map scale used was finally suggested.

We give a generalization of bilateral mock theta functions of order eight and show that they are $F_q$-functions. We also give an integral representation for these functions. We give a relation between mock theta functions of the first set and bilateral mock theta functions of the second set.

Purpose : This study was to illuminate the main characteristics and limits of the feminine ethics of care when it applies to the nursing ethics, and suggested sufficient conditions of care ethics in nursing in order to actualize the autonomy for nurses. Method : This study inquired the relationship between the ethical trait of caring in nursing and Gilligan & Noddings's moral theory as feminine ethics in relation to supporting the nursing ethics. In contrast to traditional moral theories based on universal principles, Gilligan's moral theory emphasized the conscious of the interpersonal relationship on the basis of the empathy and the responsibility for the other's need in contextual situations, and Noddings developed her ethics based on mothering as a model for the caring relation, the moral feature of which was characterized as reciprocity, receptiveness and responsiveness. Result : The feminine ethics of care came to support nursing ethics considering the nterpersonal relationship and responsibility. However, it did not show a possible ideal of nursing ethics because it has some difficulties in actualizing the nurse's individual and professional autonomy in the health care system. Conclusion : Therefore, in order that ethics of care can be an ideal and universal nursing ethics, it should be studied in proper direction, that is, toward actualization of the autonomy of the universal ethical self in relation to the concern and responsibility for the other.

Purpose: This study was done to identify the effect of nursing organizational culture on empowerment as perceived by new clinical nurses. Method: For the objective a sample of 175 new nurses from secondary/tertiary hospitals having not less than 250 beds located in B city was selected to complete a questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, One-way ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson correlation coefficients and simultaneous multiple regression with the SPSS 14.0 software program. Results: As for nursing organizational culture as perceived by the respondent, relation-oriented culture had the highest average score ($3.60{\pm}.63$) out of a possible 5 points followed by hierarch-oriented culture, innovation-oriented culture and task-oriented culture with $3.45{\pm}.30$, $3.19{\pm}.53$ and $3.05{\pm}.46$, respectively. The respondents' level of perceived empowerment was $3.06{\pm}.41$. The factors influencing empowerment according to nursing organizational culture were innovation-oriented and relation-oriented culture in that order. These 2 variables were statistically significant predictors and explained 48.6% of the variance in empowerment. Conclusions: The results of this study indicate that emphasis should be given to nursing organizational culture strengthened by innovationoriented and relation-oriented culture, rather than task-oriented and hierarch-oriented culture, in order to foster harmonious empowerment among nurses at all levels.
