뉴랄 네트워크에 의한 선체 중앙단면 최적구조설계 (Optimum Design of Midship Section by Artificial Neural Network)

  • 1960년대 중반 전산기를 이용한 선체 구조설계가 최초로 시도된 후 국내에서도 1980년부터 중앙단면 최적설계에 관한 많은 연구가 이루어져 왔다. 선급규정에 의한 선체 중앙단면 최적설계를 할 경우, 야기되는 문제로서는 부재 치수, 부재 개수와 같은 이산변수를 다루어야 하는 어려움이 있어, 이러한 문제를 해결하고자 유전자 알고리즘이나 인공신경망 등의 새로운 최적화 기법의 개발에 관한 연구 등이 진행되고 있다. 이와 같은 관점에서 본 연구에서는 선체 구조설계 문제에 효율적인 최적화 방법을 개발함에 있어, 홉필드 네트워크 모델과 시뮬레이티드 어닐링을 결함하여 Neuro-Optimizer를 개발하고, 이를 토대로 구조공학 문제의 하나인 간단한 트러스 구조물의 최적설계와 선체의 중앙단면 최적설계에 적용하여, 새로운 최적화 기법으로서 가능성이 있음을 확인하였다.

  • 대부분의 노선선정에 있어서 GSIS의 적용은 노선선정시 고려되는 토지이용, 토공량, 지가등 몇 가지의 기본자료를 선택하여 데이터베이스를 구축하고 구축한 데이터를 분석하여 노선선정 방안을 제시하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 방안은 노선선정시 고려되는 다중인자들에 대한 복합적인 고려가 미미한 단계라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 GSIS를 이용하여 최적노선 선정시 다중의사 결정 지원 및 노선선정 절차의 표준화를 시도하여야 한다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 도로의 최적 노선선정시 AHP기법을 이용하여 다중인자의 정량화를 시도함으로서 노선선정에 이용되는 자료가 효율적으로 제공되어 최적의 노선선정이 되도록 하였다. AHP기법을 적용한 결과 종래의 노선선정시 다중인자들의 경중률을 임의로 적용하던 것보다 합리적으로 최적노선을 선정할 수 있었다.

정보통신서비스의 최적선택이부요금 (Optimal Optional Two-Part Tariffs for Telecommunication Services)

  • Optional two-part tariffs are in growing use in telecommunication services markets. This paper considers the problem of designing profit-maximizing optional two-part tariffs for heterogeneous user groups. It is shown that, at an optimum, one of usage charges among a set of optional two-part tariffs should be made equal to marginal cost. It is also shown that, if demand curves cross, then one of usage charges at the optimum can be below marginal cost. An example with linear demand functions is given to illustrate the important features of optimal two-part tariffs.

  • This paper presents a new concept for controlling of under actuated robot manipulators with avoiding obstacles using switching computed torque method (SCTM). One fundamental approach of this algorithm is to use the partly stable controllers (PSCs) in order to fulfill the ultimate control objective. Here, we use genetic algorithms (GA)in order to employ the optimum control action for a given time frame with the available set of elemental controllers, depending on which links/variables are controlled, i.e. the selection of optimum switching sequence of the control actions. The proposed approach models links of the robot using evolving ellipses and then introduces a penalty scheme for the objective function of GA when it detects collisions. An under actuated robot manipulator, which has three detrees-of-freedom is taken into consideration so as to illustrate the design procedure. Simulation results show the e.ectiveness of the proposed method.

  • The optimum design and the performance analysis software called POSEIDON for the HAWT (Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine) was developed by use of BEMT. The Prandtl's tip loss theory was adopted to consider the blade tip loss. The aerodynamic characteristics of NACA 63415 airfoils were predicted via X-FOIL and the post stall characteristics were estimated by the Viterna's equations. All the predicted aerodynamic characteristics are fairly well agreed with the Velux wind tunnel test results. The rated power of the testing rotor is 5kW at design conditions. The power, estimated by use of predicted lift and drag coefficient via X-FOIL becomes a little higher than experimental one.

Non-sintering Preparation of Copper (II) Oxide Powder for Electroplating via 2-step Chemical Reaction

  • In this study, copper (II) oxide was prepared for use in a copper electroplating solution. Copper chloride powder and copper (II) oxide are widely used as raw materials for electroplating. Copper (II) oxide was synthesized in this study using a two-step chemical reaction. Herein, we developed a method for the preparation of copper (II) oxide without the use of sintering. In the first step, copper carbonate was prepared without sintering, and then copper (II) oxide was synthesized without sintering using sodium hydroxide. The optimum amount of sodium hydroxide used for this process was 120 g and the optimum reaction temperature was $120^{\circ}C$ regardless of the starting material.

  • This study has attempted to derived an optimum fiber replacing ratio for practical use by measuring tensile strength and length deformation followed by variation of fiber replacing ratio among the basic characteristics of HPFRCC in order to evaluate the possibility of practical use of HPFRCC. As a result of performing experiment and research, the optimum replacement ratio was determined at the fiber replacing ratio of 1.5% when compressive strength, tensile strength and tensile stress-strain curve.

  • 본 논문에서는 순수한 액체상태의 온수 단위 질량을 대상으로 동력발생에서부 터 열펌프 까지의 가능한 응용을 고려하여 온도에 따른 최적 사용방법과 최대성능 발 휘시의 용량산정을 통하여 온수의 최적능력을 확인하고자 한다. 단 본 연구의 결과 는 순수히 열역하적인 것으로 경제적 관점에서 본다면 다소 다른 견해가 있을 수 있겠 으나 열역학적 및 경제적 관점 사이의 관계 및 제2법칙의 역할의 중요성은 이미 여러 논문에서 충분히 거론된 것으로서 여기서 언급하지 않는다.

Programmatic Sequence for the Automatic Adjustment of Double Relaxation Oscillation SQUID Sensors

  • Measuring magnetic fields with a SQUID sensor always requires preliminary adjustments such as optimum bas current determination and flux-locking point search. A conventional magnetoencephalography (MEG) system consists of several dozens of sensors and we should condition each sensor one by one for an experiment. This timeconsuming job is not only cumbersome but also impractical for the common use in hospital. We had developed a serial port communication protocol between SQUID sensor controllers and a personal computer in order to control the sensors. However, theserial-bus-based control is too slow for adjusting all the sensors with a sufficient accuracy in a reasonable time. In this work, we introduce programmatic control sequence that saves the number of the control pulse arrays. The sequence separates into two stages. The first stage is a function for searching flux-locking points of the sensors and the other stage is for determining the optimum bias current that operates a sensor in a minimum noise level Generally, the optimum bias current for a SQUID sensor depends on the manufactured structure, so that it will not easily change about. Therefore, we can reduce the time for the optimum bias current determination by using the saved values that have been measured once by the second stage sequence. Applying the first stage sequence to a practical use, it has taken about 2-3 minutes to perform the flux-locking for our 37-channel SQUID magnetometer system.
