Today the realization of a welfare society is urgently needed as growing of economy. To promptly meet the needs of the times, the ratio of a matriculation of the physically disabled is getting higher, stretching opportunities of a higher education. But, the walk environment in university educational facilities is still insufficient because of the indifference to the education of the physically disabled. The purpose of this research is to suggest the direction to improve the walk environment for all users through evaluation of the accessibility of the walk environment in university educational facilities, and the scope of the research is the internal and external walk environment of university educational facilities. The first step of the research is preparatory study review to extract the elements of the accessibility of the Universal Design Principles. And then, we evaluate the accessibility of university educational facilities through the site visits. The results of this research are as following: 1) The internal and external walk environment of university educational facilities needs more physical improvement for keeping accessibility. 2) We need to provide consistent guidances from the external sidewalks to main entrances, slopes, staircases, elevators, and corridors. 3) The walk environment of university educational facilities needs to maintain continuously.
Purpose - This study is intended to explore influential factors on the life satisfaction of physically challenged laborers preparing for support plans for their future. This is to enjoy a better life and have social opportunities and to review institutional support or plans for implementation to be applied for physically challenged people. Research design, data, and methodology - 4,161 disabled people participated in the Panel Survey of Employment of the Disabled. Among 2,124 physically challenged people, 957 wage workers (45%) were primarily extracted in this study, and a total of 581 (27%) with sufficient responses on the questionnaires were finally selected. Results - First, physical preparation for later life had a positive influence on retired life satisfaction among retirement satisfaction. People showed higher retired life satisfaction. Secondly, physical preparation for later life had a positive influence on satisfaction over relationship after retirement among retirement satisfaction. Conclusions - In this study, it was found that job satisfaction was the variable with the highest influential power on life satisfaction. Therefore, it seems to be necessary to proceed a research as to which factors influence life satisfaction in the medium of job satisfaction and also about plans to improve job satisfaction on experts or the disabled.
Purpose: While clinical practice is crucial for nursing students to acquire the skills needed to provide professional, high-quality nursing care, further studies on improving undergraduate nursing programs are needed to provide a supportive clinical learning environment for student nurses. This study aimed to understand nursing students' clinical experiences in newborn nurseries and neonatal intensive care units and to provide basic data for the establishment of strategies to promote effective clinical education. Methods: Interviews were held with 15 nursing students at J University who had clinical practice experience in the newborn nursery and neonatal intensive care unit. The collected data were analyzed using the phenomenological analysis method developed by Colaizzi (1978). Results: The nursing students' experiences were grouped into four categories: "expectations for and anxiety about clinical practice", "acquisition of a wide range of knowledge regarding neonatal nursing", "challenges faced in clinical practice", and "experiencing interpersonal changes". Conclusion: The current neonatal practice nursing education system provides students with positive learning experiences. However, the lack of practice opportunities, insufficient instruction, and the theory-practice gap were identified as major issues hindering students' learning needs. These study results are expected to provide basic data for curriculum development to improve undergraduate nursing education.
Purpose: This study aimed to understand and describe the diabetes self-management experience of visually impaired people with diabetes. Methods: Ten participants were recruited through a website used by the visually impaired from February to March 2020. Data were collected through two focus group interviews conducted in June 2020; each group consisted of five participants. All interviews were recorded with the consent of the participants and transcribed verbatim. The transcribed data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Results: Seven categories were as follows; a two-faced, lifelong companion, an unprepared encounter, struggle to live, love-hate relationship with family, strategies to adapt, lessening attention to self-management, the desire to learn properly. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the visually impaired have fewer opportunities for receiving diabetes self-management education than general diabetic patients. Consequently, plans to improve the education available to such patients are required. Additionally, psychological counseling and diabetes education for patients' families are necessary, and improving the perception of medical workers regarding the visually impaired will be prove useful.
Floating solar power markets are rapidly growing worldwide. The main policy instrument utilized to expand renewable energy use in foreign countries with many floating solar power installations is Feed-in-Tariffs (FITs). Foreign countries apply FIT to projects that have a secured grid connection, and lately, there has been a change in the direction of introducing or expanding auction systems. Vietnam and Taiwan give higher FIT to floating solar installations than land solar ones, and China, Vietnam, and Taiwan have higher FITs for certain regions. Compared to foreign countries where large-scale floating solar power installations have been installed, Korea has utilized Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) weights for residents' participation are provided additionally under the Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS). In contrast to Korea, where residents' participation and benefit profit sharing are emphasized, the Netherlands provides opportunities for local residents to participate in floating solar power projects through cooperatives to improve the residents' acceptance.
The purpose of this study was to analyze one science teacher's understanding of student argumentation and his explicit teaching strategies for implementing it in the classroom. One middle school science teacher, Mr. Field, and his students of 54 participated in this study. Data were collected through three semi-structured interviews, 60 hours of classroom observations, and two times of students' lab reports for eight weeks. Coding categories were developed describing the teacher's understanding of scientific argumentation and a description of the main teaching strategy, the Claim-Evidence Approach, was introduced. Toulmin's approach was employed to analyze student discourse as responses to see how much of this discourse was argumentative. The results indicated that Mr. Field defined scientific inquiry as the abilities of procedural skills through experimentation and of reasoning skills through argumentation. The Claim-Evidence Approach provided students with opportunities to develop their own claims based on their readings, design the investigation for evidence, and differentiate pieces of evidence from data to support their claims and refute others. During this approach, the teacher's role of scaffolding was critical to shift students' less extensive argumentation to more extensive argumentation through his prompts and questions. The different level of teacher's involvement, his explicit teaching strategy, and the students' scientific knowledge influenced the students' ability to develop and improve argumentation.
Purpose: With the growth of the hospitality industry, it is imperative to identify how smart tourism characteristics may be used in hotel management. Current and emerging technologies such as analytic tools, automation, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) help to create value for the guests while also contributing to waste reduction, resource optimization, and increased profitability in the industry. Research design, data and methodology: The literature review was conducted to examine a broad scope of research in analyzing smart tourism characteristics for the improved management of hotels and establish the necessary background for this issue. The analysis was employed to specify the systematic approach of selecting, scrutinizing, and integrating the source of information. Results: According to the systematic literature analysis, four smart tourism characteristics have been established, which can improve various aspects of hotel management. They are as follows: (1) Smart Guest Experience Management, (2) Smart Operations and Resource Management, (3) Smart Customer Relationship Management, and (4) Smart Destination Management. Conclusions: The findings expose the radical approach that smart tourism characteristics take towards the management of hotels. The developments in IT and science-oriented solutions have opened greater opportunities as the hotel industry can enhance clients' satisfaction, productivity, and participation in environmental conservation initiatives for tourism.
Background: University health services have provided comprehensive medical care, counseling, health promotion, and public health services to their students and several other local institutions. To their faculty and staff, university health care centers have served occupational health services and employee assistant program. Purpose: We performed this study to review the health promotion services on two kinds of health care center with different style of university formate. Methods: We tried to collect the data by literature review and interview with executive and provider at health care center in University of California at Berkeley and San Jose State University. Results: Our results were as followed. First, students could use the medical services just as they would their regular doctor's office and urgent care center. Second, the health promotion unit offered programs and services for keeping students healthy and safe, including many opportunities for students to get involved in shaping the public health of the campus. Third, the health promotion recommendation offered from ACHA was useful guideline to improve health status of their member in university campus. Finally, the student satisfaction surveys were used for evaluation and quality improvement. Conclusions: The systematic approach to improve health status of students, faculty and staff can use to maintain a state of optimum health among the diverse student community in support of academic excellence. Coupled with health promotion and public health programs, university health service have to reach all segments of the healthy campus community. To achieve study goals in university, the health care center contributes to promote accountability and responsibility for the health and well being of the members in their campus.

The use of Hi-Tech in cultural heritage preservation and the promotion of cultural heritage values in general, particularly artifacts, opens new opportunities for attracting tourists while also posing a challenge due to the need to reward high-quality excursions to visitors historical and cultural values. Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Hi-Tech in new building management have been widely adopted in the construction industry; however, Historic Building Information Modeling (HBIM) is an exciting challenge in 3D modeling and building management. For those reasons, the Scan-to-HBIM approach involves generating an HBIM model for existing buildings from the point cloud data collected by Terrestrial 3D Laser Scanner integrated with Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), contributes to spatial historic sites simulation for virtual experiences. Therefore, this study aims to (1) generate the application of Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality to Historic Building Information Modeling - based workflows in a case study which is a monument in the city; (2) evaluate the application of these technologies to improve awareness of visitors related to the promotion of historical values by surveying the experience before and after using this application. The findings shed light on the barriers that prevent users from utilizing technologies and problem-solving solutions. According to the survey results, after experiencing virtual tours through applications and video explanations, participant's perception of the case study improved. When combined with emerging Hi-Tech and immersive interactive games, the Historic Building Information Modeling helps increase information transmission to improve visitor awareness and promote heritage values.
Mathematics is extreme the differences of the scholarly attainments in comparison with other subjects at a middle school. These classes are effective at the scholarly attainments extension to some degree, but each student is extreme the differences of scholarly attainments. The students were divided in three groups; the top class, average, the low class, And they were offered the fitting textbooks matching the cooperation of group work and the opportunities of discovery learning fitting an individual ability and standard. Consequently, some educational materials were made, for example, question papers, commonness learning materials, choice learning materials. These materials were put in effect to the students to be able to succeed discovery learning. With this, the students were investigated an interest of mathematics and the influence giving at the studies attainment. And the students were put in effect the cooperation of group work through the small groups to improve uniformity and sturdiness of the mathematical education. The conclusion at the present research is as follows. 1) When the students put in effect the cooperation of group work through the small groups, the scholarly attainments of mathematics totally didn't display useful changes as improvement. However, the students of average and the low class gradually seemed to improve the scholarly attainments of mathematics as the help of the top class positively. 2) An individual and cooperation learning in the method of the cooperation of group work through the small groups displayed many changes at the learning attitude of the students by means of discovery learning thanks to the learning heads. 3) When the investigator put in effect the cooperation of group work through rather the small groups than the large groups, the numbers of the students experiencing interest about mathematics increased in 26% and this learning method should continue to progress.
