  • We try receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curves by neural networks of logistic function. The models are shown to arise from model classification for normal (diseased) and abnormal (nondiseased) groups in medical research. A few goodness-of-fit test statistics using normality curves are discussed and the performances using neural networks of logistic function are conducted.

  • This paper presents the operating characteristic of high voltage impulse(HVI) track circuit owing to the ill-contact of impedance bond lead wire. The characteristic operations of the track include rail voltage and current. Measurements are carried out using oscilloscope with current probe and it analyzed the abnormal operation due to connector of protective wire. Finally, suitable track circuit is proposed for conventional line, and operating characteristic of HVI track circuit is affected by bypass circuit.

  • This paper describes sheath induced voltage and operating characteristic of cable cover protection unit(CCPU) in underground transmission cable. Real cable system operating by 154kV XLPE cable was modelled for simulation. Sheath induced voltage and operating characteristic of CCPU were analyzed. In particular, sheath induced voltage was analyzed in case of individual grounding and common grounding, respectively, and operating characteristics of CCPU were compared each other.

  • 본 논문에서는 복합고조파 전류에 의한 누전차단기의 동작특성에 대해 분석하였다. 정격감도전류 30[mA] 전류형 누전차단기에 대해 복합고조파에 의한 동작특성을 실험하여 고조파에 의한 누전차단기 오동작, 부동작 특성 등을 분석하였다. 실험결과 누전차단기의 동작전류는 복합고조파 전류에 의해 변화하였다.

  • The regulator that was designed for space use must be operating on the severe circumstance. For example, operating temperature is below 90K and operating pressure is 20.7 MPa.   • In the field of clinical medicine, diagnostic accuracy studies refer to the degree of agreement between the index test and the reference standard for the discriminatory ability to identify a target disorder of interest in a patient. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve offers a graphical display the trade-off between sensitivity and specificity at each cutoff for a diagnostic test and is useful in assigning the best cutoff for clinical use. In this end, the ROC curve analysis is a useful tool for estimating and comparing the accuracy of competing diagnostic tests. This paper reviews briefly the measures of diagnostic accuracy such as sensitivity, specificity, and area under the ROC curve (AUC) that is a summary measure for diagnostic accuracy across the spectrum of test results. In addition, the methods of creating an ROC curve in single diagnostic test with five-category discrete scale for disease classification from healthy individuals, meaningful interpretation of the AUC, and the applications of ROC methodology in clinical medicine to determine the optimal cutoff values have been discussed using a hypothetical example as an illustration.

  • This paper describes the operating characteristic analysis of PM-type magnetic circuit breaker for electromagnetic field, electric circuit and mechanical motion problems. Transient calculations based up 2D finite element magnetic field solution including non-linearity of materials. Change of dynamic characteristic from eddy current in mover is quantified from FEM analysis.

  • This paper is a generalization of single and two-level skip-lot sampling plans to n-level. On every skipping inspection of the n-level skip-lot sampling plan, not only the number of consecutive lots to be accepted but also the fraction of lots to be inspected can be freely choosed. The general formulas of the operating characteristic function, average fraction inspected, average sample number and average outgoing quality in n-level skip-lot sampling plan are derived. The operating characteristic curves, average sample number and average outgoing quality of a reference plan, two-level and five-level skip-lot sampling plans are compared.

  • This paper presents a computer simulation of five types of triple effect absorption cycles employ-ing the refrigerant absorbent combinations of NH3/LiNO3 low-pressure type NH3/LiNO3+H2O/LiBr binary two-stage type series flow cycle and two types of parallel flow cycle for H2O/LiBr. The absorption systems is investigated through cycle simulation to obtain the system characteristics with the cooling water inlet temperature approach temperature of absorber loss temperature of absorber and chilled water outlet temperature. The most important characteristic temperature of absorber and chilled water outlet temperature. The most important characteristic of NH3/LiNO3 low-pressure type and a NH3/LINO3+H2O/LiBr binary two-stage type is that it obtains a coefficient of performance higher than the sum of the performance coefficients of its part operating independently. As a result of this analysis the optimum designs and operating conditions were determined based on the operating conditions and the coefficient of performance.

  • In this paper, flux distribution and operating current is calculated according to the field coil change in HTS(High Temperature Superconducting) motor. In order to calculate magnetic field characteristic of the field coil. it is computed by changing the outer radius and the inner width of field coil Bio-Savart equation is used as the analysis method for the characteristic analysis of magnet. 2D and 3D FEA(Finite Element Analysis) is used for the magnetic field distribution in HTS motor The operating current is calculated by $B{\bot}$ linked With the field coil and $I_c-B curve of superconductor.
