In this article we introduce the notion of b-locally open sets, $bLO^*$ sets, $bLO^{**}$ sets in bitopological spaces and obtain several characterizations and some properties of these sets.
The purpose of this study was to found that the important design reform points for improvement of the public open space quality. For this purpose, surveyed the users of the public open space and the experts working for the public open space planning for the design elements of the public open spaces in terms of importance and satisfaction. The scope of the study was limited to Mapo-gu, Seoul and the buildings constructed since 1992 were sampled. the data collected were subject to Importance-Performance Analysis. As a result, 'waste boxes, vending machines and other amenities', 'characteristic floor and pedestrian environment', 'designs and their layout in harmony with the surrounding and landscape facilities', 'facilities checking and patrol for safety' and 'entire area of the public open space'. Based on the above findings, the following reform measures are put forwards for improvement of the public open space quality; First, the public open spaces should be equipped with sufficient amenities. Second, it is necessary to check the facilities regularly, while enhancing the safety through patrols. Third, it is essential to reflect user's needs in public open space planning, while applying the important design elements to the public facilities. Fourth, in order to create a comfortable pedestrian environment within the public open space, it is deemed necessary to divide the space into the passages for passers-by and the recesses for uses. Fifth, it is necessary to amend the Building Code to the effects that the radio of the landscaped area to the entire area can be readjusted together with the night lighting facilities. Sixth, it is desirable to give the weights to the important design elements for the public open spaces, so that the quality public open spaces can benefit from the incentives. In addition, regular maintenance and management should be ensured by policies.

The aim of this study is to compare open space planning between Australia and Korea by Local Governments Areas. Open space planning is carried out at the state and municipal level in Australia, but by metropolitan city government in Korea. This study is structured by reviewing the presemt phenomena of provision of open space in Sydney and Seoul, By measuring disparity in terms of open spaces by L. G. A. s an by comparing planning approaches between two cities, for example policy, government standards, government administration system in open space management. In this paper, the provision of parks in Sydney and Seoul are comparatively examined and geographically mapped, and multiple repression analysis is applied to measure the residuals from the line of equality. The results of this study show that, 1) During the last 1 dacade from '80 and '90. Sydney has increased the quantity of open spaces from ratio of 19.11ha/1000 to 22.33ha/1000 of parks, however Seoul decreased it by the ratio of 12.21$m^2$/person to 1012$m^2$ per person. 2) Sydney has more programs, such as Greenspace program, Metropolitan open space program etc. to increase and to distribute open spaces equally rather than Seoul which has less open spaces. 3) There exists patterned inequality in terms of open space provision in inner city and suburb between Sydney and Seoul. 4) Seoul requires more active polices to increase open spaces like Greenacre Program of New Jerrsey State, Double Open Space Pland of Tokyo or Green Space Program of Sydney.

The purpose of this study is to investigate and present a method for measuring public accessibility to urban open spaces. A basic assumption is that, for urban open space policies, accessibility is more important than per capita area. In this study, for the purpose of simplicity, a residential area is assumed to have access to open space if it is within a certain distance from an urban open space. Official city planning map is overlayed with a 200m grid and each cell of dwelling area is checked whether it is within a certain distance from a cell categorized as urban open space. A computer program for widely commercialized personal computer is developed for data processing so that local governments without access to more sophisticated systems can carry out similar studies for their own jurisdictions. Five cities, big, small, old and new, are selected to test the proposed method. Dwelling areas of Ansan new Town have highest accessibility to open spaces(93.4% of dwelling cells have open space cell within 500m). Seoul (91.2%), Suwon(78.2%), Pusan(73.8%), and Inchon(61.4%) have less accessibility. If we assume the Ansan City residents are evenly distributed over the dwelling area, 93.4% of the population has open spaces within walking distance of 500m. However, if we consider physical barriers such as arterial roads, railroads, and streams that reduce the accessibility, less than 93.4% of Ansan city residents enjoy good access to open spaces. Though a further detailed analysis is needed to picture the microscopic accessibility, this method can serve as a useful tool for urban open space policy and open space alternatives evaluations.

The aim of this study is to investigate the present use condition of 145 public open spaces which have not been executed in the Busan Metropolitan City Area. The unexcused public open spaces are analyzed by the zoning, size, shape type and the development planning. First, in terms of the distribution rate by zoning, it is found that the majority of unexecuted public open spaces are located in residential area, especially in the third general residential area. Second, the most shape types are linear forms and the next are indeterminate form and fixed types. Lastly, just a few of the unexecuted public open spaces have the development plan and those are mostly to create a small park or rest area.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the usage characteristics and the role of spatial and social psychology of open spaces in urban neighborhoods. The survey for this study was conducted on 318 residents in Gyungsan. For analysis, the frequencies and means were calculated, the chi-square test, t-test, and analysis of variance were performed. Survey results revealed that, first, not only the preferred open space type but also the usage characteristics by gender were different. The tendency for males was to visit open spaces to exercise and to stay for longer than one hour. However, the females visited open spaces to care for their children and meet friends or neighbors. They also visited more often than males but stayed for a shorter time. Second, females tended to consider the open space as a place for rest and leisure. Females valued the social psychology aspects of the open space function. Third, regarding the spacial role of open space in urban neighborhoods, study participants believed that the waterside parks improve the quality of life, but were concerned for the safety of children. Considering the social psychology role of open spaces, study participants regarded the waterside parks as improving emotional health. Particularly, they believed the waterside parks played a greater role in daily life as a place for meeting, resting, and leisure than other open space types such as playground, children's parks, and sport parks.

This paper suggests two strategies for the restoration of the Seongbukcheon in Seoul. One is the neighborhood-type development and the other is the construction of the flat open spaces. For the neighborhood-type development, the characteristic of each of the streets which are connected with Seongbukcheon was comprehended and the differentiated approaches for each of them were taken. For the construction of the flat open spaces, the necessity of the flat public open spaces was verified and the strategies for this was suggested.
In this paper, we show a necessary and sufficient condition for QHC spaces to be S-closed. T. Thomson introduced S-closed spaces in [2]. A topological space X is said to be S-closed if every semi-open cover of X admits a finite subfamily such that the closures of whose members cover the space, where a set A is semi-open if and only if there exists an open set U such that U.contnd.A.contnd.Cl U. A topological space X is quasi-H-closed (denote QHC) if every open cover has a finite subfamily whose closures cover the space. If a topological space X is Hausdorff and QHC, then X is H-closed. It is obvious that every S-closed space is QHC but the converse is not true [2]. In [1], Cameron proved that an extremally disconnected QHC space is S-closed. But S-closed spaces are not necessarily extremally disconnected. Therefore we want to find a necessary and sufficient condition for QHC spaces to be S-closed. A topological space X is said to be semi-locally S-closed if each point of X has a S-closed open neighborhood. Of course, a locally S-closed space is semi-locally S-closed.
We introduce the notions of bigeneralized topological spaces and quasi generalized open sets, and study some basic properties for the sets. We also introduce the notion of quasi generalized continuity on bigeneralized topological spaces, and investigate characterizations for the continuity.
