경사벽면을 갖는 개방 캐비티의 유동제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on Flow Control of Open Cavity with Inclined Rear Walls)

  • 이 실험적인 연구는 오픈 캐비티에서 경사후방벽면을 가지고 있는 유동장안의 제어봉이 있고 없음과 제어봉의 위치에 따른 유동 내부특성을 알고자 하였다. 속도 측정법으로는 흐름과 입자 영상의 가시화가 가능한 PIV기법을 이용하여 레이놀즈수의 변화와 속도에 대하여 고찰하였다. 제어봉의 어느 위치가 캐비티 내부유동 특성에 영향을 적게 주며, 전단 혼합 층이 유동장 상부와 하류 쪽으로 이동하는지에 대한 레이놀즈수의 임계점을 알고자 하였다.그 결과, 제어봉의 위치 L/H=0.2에서, 제어봉의 위치를 각각 상이하게 정하여 보았으나, L/H=0.2의 경우가 가장 캐비티에 영향을 적게 주는 것으로 판단된다. 주와류 후방의 흐름이 상부로 서서히 치우쳐 있으며 레이놀즈수가 증가할수록 이러한 현상은 뚜렷해지고, 이것은 y/H=1.0 전후의 주 흐름은 제어봉의 효과로 캐비티 상부에 발생한 주 와류의 위쪽으로 치우쳐 하류로 진행하기 때문으로 판단된다. 이러한 현상은 레이놀즈수가 증가하면서 더욱 뚜렷해지며 그 임계점은 $Re=1.0{\times}10^4$전후임을 알 수 있었다. 제어봉의 위치가 L/H=0.1의 경우 레이놀즈수의 증가 ($Re=6.0{\times}10^3$, $Re=8.0{\times}10^3$, $Re=1.0{\times}10^4$, $Re=1.2{\times}10^4$)에 따라 상부에 이중와류 구조가 발생하고, 캐비티 상부의 전단 혼합 층이 증가함에 따라 하단부의 속도분포가 더 안정적인 모습도 알 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, the novel microwave oscillator incorporating a planar cavity resonator(PCR) is presented to reduce the phase noise of the oscillator in a planar environment. Compared to the conventional planar( $\lambda$/4 open stub resonator), the phase noise is improved about 16 dBc/Hz @100 kHz. The design of the oscillator is based on a reflection type configuration using the low 1/f SiGe HBT transistor(LPT16ED). The output power is measured 2.76 dBm at 12.5 GHz. In this paper, the oscillator used to the PCR can be expected to provide a solution for low phase noise oscillator in microwave circuits.

  • When fluid at high speed flows over an open cavity, large acoustic pressure fields inside the cavity are produced by fluid/structure interactions at the downstream end of the cavity. The inter-coach spacing is one of the most important sources of the aero-acoustic noise of a high-speed train. This noise can usually be heard as low frequency structure-borne noise inside the train. In this study experiments were performed in order to investigate the effects of mud-flap length on the aeroacoustic noise generation inside high-speed trains. Results of the measurement confirmed that the characteristics of the noise generated from the inter-coach spacing are strongly dependent on the size of the gap. Also investigated are the characteristics of the turbulent flow after the inter-coach spacing and consequent generation of the aeroacoustic noise inside the cabin.

와류 발생기의 공동 유동 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on characteristics of cavitating flow around vortex generators)

  • In this study, we present experimental results of cavitating flow around a vortex generator which is used to improve the flow in the wake of ships and enhance propulsion efficiency. We conducted experiments at the CNU cavitation tunnel on a total of six vortex generators, two different aspect ratios and three taper ratios. We recorded cavity patterns using a high-speed camera and quantitatively evaluated cavity fraction using OpenCV. The most important finding of this study is that the vortex cavity generated at a root leading edge of the vortex generator develops at a specific angle.

  • 효과적인 초음속 연소를 위해 연료와 공기의 빠른 혼합이 필요하며, 혼합 향상을 위해 연료분사 방식에 대한 여러 연구들이 수행되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 길이-깊이 비가 4.8, 후면 경사각이 $22.5^{\circ}$인 개방형 공동 모델을 사용하였으며, 마하수 1.92에서 운동량비에 따른 분사구 주변의 유동 특성 및 연소실 내 압력 분포를 슐리렌 가시화와 압력 측정을 사용하여 파악하였다. 운동량비는 연료의 침투거리와 분사지역의 유동에 큰 영향을 끼친다.

Accurate Measurements of the Unloaded Q of a Dielectric-loaded High-Q $TE_{01{\delta}}$ mode Cavity Resonator with HTS Endplates

  • Methods for mode identification and accurate measurements of the unloaded Q ($Q_0$) of a dielectric-loaded $TE_{01{\delta}}$ mode cavity resonator with HTS endplates are proposed. A resonator with a sapphire rod and $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-x}$(YBCO) endplates was prepared and its microwave properties were studied at temperatures above 30 K. The $TE_{01{\delta}}$ mode $Q_0$ of the resonator, designed to work as a tunable resonator with variations in the gap distance (s) between the sapphire rod and the top YBCO, was more than 1000000 at s = 0 mm and at 30 K with the resonant frequency of 19.56 GHz. The $TE_{01{\delta}}$ mode $Q_0$ decreases as s increases for s < 2 mm until mode couplings between the $TE_{01{\delta}}$ mode and other modes appeared at s = 2 mm. Significant dependence of the $TE_{01{\delta}}$ mode $Q_0$ on the input and output coupling constants was also observed. Applications of the open-ended $TE_{01{\delta}}$ mode cavity resonator for a tunable resonator with a very high Q as well as a characterization tool for the surface resistance measurements of HTS films are described.

  • 스크램제트 엔진의 연소기 내부 유동은 초음속이므로 유동의 잔류시간과 혼합율의 증대가 효과적인 연소를 가능하게 하는 주요 요인으로 작용한다. 본 연구에서는 연료-공기 혼합기로써 L/D=4.8인 개방형 공동 모델을 사용하였고, 공동 앞에서의 경사 연료 분사 시 분사구 주위와 공동 주위의 유동특성을 살펴보기 위하여 레이저 슐리렌 기법과 압력측정을 실시하였다. 측정에 사용된 레이저 슐리렌은 10 ns의 매우 짧은 광원 지속시간을 보유하여 공동부근의 비정상 유동 현상을 효과적으로 관찰할 수 있었다. 압력측정은 연료 분사비 J(운동량비)를 변화시켜 가며 측정하였으며, 운동량비에 따른 연소기 내부 주요 압력상승 지점의 변화를 살펴 볼 수 있었다.

Traditional and minimally invasive access cavities in endodontics: a literature review

  • The aim of this review was to evaluate the effects of different access cavity designs on endodontic treatment and tooth prognosis. Two independent reviewers conducted an unrestricted search of the relevant literature contained in the following electronic databases: PubMed, Science Direct, Scopus, Web of Science, and OpenGrey. The electronic search was supplemented by a manual search during the same time period. The reference lists of the articles that advanced to second-round screening were hand-searched to identify additional potential articles. Experts were also contacted in an effort to learn about possible unpublished or ongoing studies. The benefits of minimally invasive access (MIA) cavities are not yet fully supported by research data. There is no evidence that this approach can replace the traditional approach of straight-line access cavities. Guided endodontics is a new method for teeth with pulp canal calcification and apical infection, but there have been no cost-benefit investigations or time studies to verify these personal opinions. Although the purpose of MIA cavities is to reflect clinicians' interest in retaining a greater amount of the dental substance, traditional cavities are the safer method for effective instrument operation and the prevention of iatrogenic complications.

  • To evaluate the potential of the stem cell therapy as a method for prenatal management of spinal open neural tube defect (ONTD), the influence of embryonic stem cells injected into the amniotic cavity on the re-closure capacity of spinal ONTD was investgated.
