This study examines how online community activity influences social capital and the moderating effect of personal characteristic between them. Hierarchical regression and two-way ANOVA analysis were conducted with 9,479 samples. The results show that online community activity positively associated with off-line social capital, and it is observed that the effect in older people is stronger than younger people. This study extends previous perspective on the online community activity toward social capital and empirically proves that the activity have also an impact on off-line social capital. The moderating effect of age implies that activation plans of community for older people are required in order to increase social capital.

Globalization of consumption, expansion of cross border e-trade, increase use of internet and mobile have led to rapid growth of world e-commerce particularly in Asia and emerging markets. Impacted by Korean wave, online export is continuously increasing, yet Korea is experiencing severe e-commerce trade imbalance. Export growth rate and ratio of Korean small companies are relatively low from OECD member countries. Therefore, Korean government is currently emphasizing on vitalization of online export to China to resolve trade imbalance and to increase export of small companies. To propose detail measures to vitalize online export to China, this study is focused on export customs clearance procedure of Korea and import customs clearance procedure of China in view of online export company. Also suggested countermeasure plan and analysis for the new tax revision plan related to e-commerce which implemented on April 8th 2016. This study have grouped countermeasure plan by short term plan of firms and long term plan of the government. As for the short-term countermeasure plan for firms, first, comparison analysis of tax rate on products is need to decide type of e-commerce strategy; second, if planning to start e-commerce business to China, sales possibility and certification check is necessary; third, through preparation of customs clearance document is needed; last in order to obtain price competitiveness, new logistics strategy and packing development is required. As for the long-term countermeasure plan for the government, I have suggested cooperated bonded logistics service for small businesses and operation plan of show room for promising Korean products.

This study aimed at identifying user recognition of the types and causes of online game trolling through in-depth interview with users of . Online game trolling refers to anti-social behaviors to do acts provoking other users to anger intentionally so induce their actual reaction in online games. Types of online game trolling contained flaming, griefing, unskilled player and lack of understanding on user's rule. And users are recognizing as problems that anonymity is excessively high in the game, a single game has undue significance, team play is given too much emphasis in a situation lacking in social cohesivenessk as the structural causes of trolling in . Accordingly, in order to decrease online game trolling, it is urgent to improve the game-structured layer causing trolling rather than regulate trollers only.

Scheduling problems can be classified into offline and online ones. This paper considers an online scheduling problem to minimize makespan on the identical parallel machines. For dynamically arrived jobs with their ready times, we show that the sequencing order according to the ERD (Earliest Ready Date) rule is optimal to minimize makespan. This paper suggests an algorithm by using the MIP(Mixed Integer Programming) formulation periodically to find a good periodic schedule and evaluates the required computational time and resulted makespan of the algorithm. The comparition with an offline scheduling shows our algorithm makes the schedule very fast and the makespan can be reduced as the period time reduction, so we can conclude that our algorithm is useful for scheduling the jobs under online environment even though the number of jobs and machines is large. We expect that the algorithm is invaluable one to find good schedules for the smart factory and online scheduler using the blockchain mechanism.

The rapid development of cloud computing and high requirements of operators requires strong support from the underlying Data Center Networks. Therefore, the effectiveness of using resources in the data center networks becomes a point of concern for operators and material for research. In this paper, we discuss the online virtual-cluster provision problem for multiple tenants with an aim to decide when and where the virtual cluster should be placed in a data center network. Our objective is maximizing the total revenue for the data center networks under the constraints. In order to solve this problem, this paper divides it into two parts: online multi-tenancy scheduling and virtual cluster placement. The first part aims to determine the scheduling orders for the multiple tenants, and the second part aims to determine the locations of virtual machines. We first approach the problem by using the variational inequality model and discuss the existence of the optimal solution. After that, we prove that provisioning virtual clusters for a multi-tenant data center network that maximizes revenue is NP-hard. Due to the complexity of this problem, an efficient heuristic algorithm OMS (Online Multi-tenancy Scheduling) is proposed to solve the online multi-tenancy scheduling problem. We further explore the virtual cluster placement problem based on the OMS and propose a novel algorithm during the virtual machine placement. We evaluate our algorithms through a series of simulations, and the simulations results demonstrate that OMS can significantly increase the efficiency and total revenue for the data centers.

The purpose of the study is to examine online grammar checkers and suggest when they could be used in English writing classes. The study was conducted in the second semester of 2019 at D University in Chungcheong-do, with a total of 35 first-year students participating in the study. For data collection, pre and post grammar tests, questionnaires, and learning journals were collected and analyzed. The results of this study are as follows. First, based on the results of the English grammar test, the online grammar checker was found to be effective in English writing class. Second, students judged whether accepting or not rather than accepting feedback provided by online grammar checker. Third, among the feedback provided by the online grammar checker, the order of (in)definite article, preposition, punctuation, verb number, and noun number were found. The several implications and limitations of this study are discussed.

This study examines the importance of factors that influence the online platform selection decision to support operational optimization strategies. For the research purpose, we first reviewed previous studies on service encounters and identified those factors that have been proven important for using online platforms. Second, this study analyzed the factors that customers perceived as important based on analytical hierarchy process (AHP) of the data we collected from 10 mobile or computer-based Internet users. The study results revealed that the important factors for the online platform selection were in the following order: product diversity (27.4%), ease of use (21.5%), brand credibility (18.1%), interactions with the service provider (17.7%), and ease of accessibility (15.3%). The study provides useful insights to online platform service providers in developing strategies for customer-focused value creation.

In blended learning, which combines school and online learning, unidirectionalness and disconnection of interaction are pointed out as the reason for widening the educational gap. This study conducted focus group interviews with teachers, students, and parents to develop a blended learning model to enhance the effectiveness of online learning. In order to increase the interaction between teachers and students online, the EduCare model considering care factors was proposed. Six practical models were proposed for the blended EduCare model. Not only interaction can be maximized, but learning reality and psychological well-being, social presence can be improved, and the effectiveness of online learning can be cultivated positively.

This study investigates the relationships among academic stress, learning satisfaction, and learning flow of the health science college students who take online classes in college. The subjects were 129 students and the data were collected from November 15th, 2020 to December 22th, 2020 using a self-report structured questionnaire. The data analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression. As a result of this study, academic stress showed a negative correlation between learning satisfaction (r=.-78, p<.001) and learning flow (r=.-70, p<.001). And learning satisfaction showed a positive correlation between learning flow (r=.71, p<.001). In the results of multiple regression analysis, factors influencing the learning flow of students were amount of assignments in online classes, number of online practice courses completed in the last semester, academic stress, and learning satisfaction. All of these variables together explained 59.0%. Therefore, in order to increase learning flow in online classes, strategies to reduce academic stress and development of various educational programs are required.

This study is a descriptive correlation study to identify the relationship among online collaborating learning attitudes, empathy, critical thinking disposition, and sense of community in nursing students in the online learning environment during COVID-19. Data were collected from 129 nursing students. The SPSS/28.0 program was used to analyze the data using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation analysis, and hierarchical multiple regression. Factors that significantly affect sense of community in nursing students were online collaborating learning attitudes and critical thinking disposition, and the explanatory power was about 42.2%. Based on these results, in order to increase sense of community of nursing students in non-face-to-face learning environment, it is required to strengthen the problem-solving-centered learning method cultivating the online collaborating learning attitude and critical thinking disposition.
