The purpose of the study is to understand the impact of nursing college students' awareness and self-esteem on nursing professionals. The research design of this study is a descriptive investigative study using convenient samples. The data collection collected structured questionnaires and Google's online survey methods for first- to fourth-year nursing college students at three universities in North Chungcheong Province. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS window 25.0 program as frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation, t-test and one-way ANOVA, and post-test as Scheffétest, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression. The study found that 21.7% (==-.181, p<.001), 2.8% major satisfaction, and 24.5% (β=.420, p<.001), so it is recommended to use it as basic data to establish a curriculum and teaching learning strategy to improve major satisfaction.
Purpose: Artificial intelligence (AI) has had a profound impact on humanity; in particular, chatbots have been designed for interactivity and applied to many aspects of daily life. Chatbots are also regarded as an innovative modality in nursing education. This study aimed to identify nursing students' awareness of using chatbots and factors influencing their usage intention. Methods: This study, which employed a descriptive design using a self-reported questionnaire, was conducted at three university nursing schools located in Seoul, South Korea. The participants were 289 junior and senior nursing students. Data were collected using self-reported questionnaires, both online via a Naver Form and offline. Results: The total mean score of awareness of using chatbots was 3.49±0.61 points out of 5. The mean scores of the four dimensions of awareness of using chatbots were 3.37±0.60 for perceived value, 3.66±0.73 for perceived usefulness, 3.83±0.73 for perceived ease of use, and 3.36±0.87 for intention to use. Significant differences were observed in awareness of using chatbots according to satisfaction with nursing (p<.001), effectiveness of using various methods for nursing education (p<.001), and interest in chatbots (p<.001). The correlations among the four dimensions ranged from .52 to .80. In a hierarchical regression analysis, perceived value (β=.45) accounted for 60.2% of variance in intention to use. Conclusion: The results suggest that chatbots have the potential to be used in nursing education. Further research is needed to clarify the effectiveness of using chatbots in nursing education.
This study aimed to examine the mediating effect of self-esteem on the relationship between clinical practice powerlessness and career identity among dental hygiene students with clinical practice experience in the IoT. A questionnaire was conducted on 172 dental hygiene students in a university located in Chungcheong area. For data analysis, Pearson's correlation analysis was conducted to exam the relationships between clinical practice powerlessness, self-esteem, and career identity. Baron & Kenny's three-step mediation analysis was used to investigate the mediating effect of self-esteem in the relationship between clinical practice powerlessness and career identity. The results of this study showed that the clinical practice powerlessness showed significant negative correlations with both self-esteem and career identity, and self-esteem showed a positive correlation with career identity. Partial mediating effects of self-esteem were found between clinical practice powerlessness and career identity. Thus, since self-esteem mediates the relationship between clinical practice powerlessness and career identity, it's essential to implement online-based programs aimed at increasing self-esteem among dental hygiene students before they participate in clinical practice.
This study aims to determine whether gender moderates the impact of grit on academic achievement through learning engagement among Chinese high school students. Data were collected through an online survey targeting 345 high school students purposively sampled from a high school in Guangdong, China. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS PC+ Win ver. 25.0 and SPSS PROCESS macro ver. 4.2. The applied statistical methods were frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and moderated mediation effect analysis. The conclusion of the study is as follows. First, grit had a significant positive correlation with learning engagement and academic achievement but no significant correlation with gender. Learning engagement showed a positive correlation with gender and academic achievement. Second, gender moderated the effect of grit on academic achievement through learning engagement. In other words, the conditional indirect effect of grit on academic achievement through learning engagement was higher for men than for women. Based on these results, this study proposed ways to utilize grit and learning engagement differently according to gender to improve the academic achievement of high school students.
This study evaluated the effectiveness of an obesity program developed to solve 'obesity', which was selected as the top priority for urgent improvement among the dietary problems of elementary school students in Busan. The program aimed to practice four health rules every day (sleep early, eat two vegetables with each meal, reduce sugary snacks, and exercise for 30 minutes every day). The participants were trained to practice the four rules online in real time every day for three weeks, and their performance in nutrition education tasks was monitored using Padlet. The anthropometric measurements showed no change in the overall average weight before and after participating in the program, but all students grew in height (z=-6.978, P<0.001), and the number of obese students decreased significantly (z=-3.317, P<0.001). This obesity program was effective in improving height growth and obesity in elementary school students. In terms of dietary changes, after participating in the program, the frequency of vegetable consumption increased significantly (z=-4.849, P<0.001), the frequency of sweet snack consumption decreased significantly (z=-4.298, P<0.001), and the bedtime improved (z=-1.000). Therefore, the non-face-to-face, self-directed obesity program developed in this study is expected to reduce the workload of nutrition teachers carrying a heavy workload such as meal service and nutrition classes, and can be used as an efficient nutrition counseling program.
The global waste crisis has been escalating and its consequent impact on soil, water, air pollution, and eventually climate change acceleration has shed light on the importance of reducing waste. Amidst COVID-19 and the following surge in single-use plastics for food delivery, waste generation is on the incline. Companies and governments have embarked on developing various eco-friendly packaging technologies, but their effectiveness on the consumers is vague as definitions of eco-friendly packaging are vague, and research on its link to purchase intention remains scarce. Thus, the adoption of eco-friendly packaging has been slow. To address this issue, this study analyzes the awareness and purchase intention of four visual attributes of eco-friendly packaging-material, verbal statement, eco-label, and color-along with the environmental consciousness among undergraduate university students in Korea through online surveys and the ordered logit regression model. The study distinguished the attributes into evidence-based and conjectural categories. The findings revealed that eco-friendly visual attributes had a positive effect on purchase intention amongst undergraduate students in Korea; however the level of environmental consciousness had marginal effect on the purchase intention of eco-friendly visual attributes. The level of effectiveness also varied with each visual element. Analyses revealed that visual attributes to eco-friendly material had marginal effect on purchase intention; color was deemed not an "Eco-friendly attribute" by most students, and although eco-friendly labels were deemed as an eco-friendly attribute, trust in the labels varied according to environmental consciousness. These findings have implications for businesses and policymakers aiming to promote eco-friendly consumption within packaged food products.

With the increase in online shopping and delivery food consumption since the pandemic, solving environmental problems caused by single-use packaging has become an important issue. 'Upcycling' is a combination of 'Upgrade' and 'Recycle', and it is the rebirth of obsolete or discarded objects by adding new value to them, and there are currently various upcycled products on the market. In order to activate upcycling, consumers' awareness of the environment and their values for consumption are very important. This study aims to investigate the influence of students' environmental concern, environmental experience, and consumption value on their purchase intention of upcycled products. Based on the results of previous studies on environmental concern, environmental experience, and consumption value, hypotheses were set, and a survey was conducted among university students nationwide to test the hypotheses. The results of this study are as follows First, environmental concern has a significant positive effect on purchase intention of upcycled products. It can be seen that the more environmental concerns such as global warming and waste disposal problems increase, the more positive attitudes toward upcycled products increase. Second, the research hypothesis that environmental knowledge will have a positive effect on the purchase intention of upcycled products is rejected. It was found that environmental knowledge is acquired through environmental education and many SNS, but it does not have a direct effect on the purchase intention of upcycled products. Third, it was found that the consumption value of college students has a positive effect on the purchase intention of upcycled products by increasing their positive perception of upcycled products. Fourth, college students' purchase intention of upcycled products has a positive effect on their behavioral intention to purchase upcycled products. The results of the study provide implications for relevant organizations such as universities and companies to effectively design upcycling-related education. It is also expected to have a positive impact on the use of upcycled products by providing basic information on the characteristics of consumers who purchase upcycled products.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the mediating effect of social phobia between social interaction anxiety and endemic blue among university students who experienced the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Methods: This study employed a descriptive correlational design. The participants were 196 university students from 10 universities located in four major regions across the Republic of Korea. Data were collected from July 12 to 31, 2022, through an online self-reported questionnaire and were then analyzed using an independent t-test, one-way ANOVA with Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression. The mediating effect was analyzed using PROCESS macro model 4 with a bootstrapping method using IBM SPSS 27.0. Results: There were significant positive correlations among social interaction anxiety, social phobia, and endemic blue. Social interaction anxiety had significant effects on social phobia (β=0.77, p<.001) and social interaction anxiety (β=0.33, p<.001) and social phobia had a significant effect on endemic blue (β=0.29, p=.001). Concerning the influence of social interaction anxiety on endemic blue, a significant indirect mediating effect of social phobia was confirmed, and the size of the indirect effect was 0.14 (0.04~0.24). Conclusion: In order to manage the social and psychological health of university students who experienced the COVID-19 pandemic period, it is necessary to develop strategies to overcome endemic blue that reduce social interaction anxiety and take into account the mediating effect of social phobia.

This study was a descriptive survey study that investigated the relationship between male stereotypes, gender stereotypes, major satisfaction, and college life adaptation. This study was conducted on 156 male nursing students enrolled in the Department of Nursing, Nursing College in two metropolitan cities. The data were collected from April 17 to June 22, 2020 by online survey using an online education program operated by the university. The data were analyzed by frequency and percentage, mean and standard deviation, correlation analysis, and ANOVA using SPSS 21.0. As a result of the study, male stereotypes scored 2.66±0.56 points for gender stereotypes, 3.78±0.64 points for major satisfaction, and 3.15±0.49 points for college life adaptation, and gender stereotypes were negative for major satisfaction and college life adaptation. There was a positive correlation between major satisfaction and adaptation to college life. As a result, in order to ensure that male nursing college students are satisfied with their majors and enjoy their college life, their values as professional nursing professionals can be improved through a specialized curriculum that aims to reduce gender stereotypes and improve both major satisfaction and adaptation to college life, with the goal of nurturing self-esteem.proves major satisfaction and adaptation to college life. It is necessary to nurture self-esteem.

The purpose of this study is to add and revalidate items of learning cognition and learning emotion factors for online use of the K-LSS for junior college. It is important for self-reflection and improvement of academic achievement to specifically explore and analyze the sub-factors of learning cognition, learning behavior, and learning emotion for each item that can affect the learning strategy of junior college students. The added items are two items for diagnosing the concentration of attention in the learning information processing process of the learning cognitive factor and two questions about the interpersonal anxiety factor for diagnosing the level of anxiety about others in the learning emotional factor. The study area was conducted in 5 areas nationwide, and the subjects of the study were 923 junior college students excluding 327 respondents who answered insincerity. The K-LSS_r scale is a learning strategy diagnosis scale of 52 questions composed of three sub-elements of learning cognition (18 questions), learning emotion (15 questions), and learning behavior (19 questions), and reliability for generalization in this study. As a result of the verification, Cronbach's α coefficient of the entire scale was .896, and Cronbach's α coefficient of the three factors ranged from .876 to .910. The half-segment reliability coefficient of the scale was .858 in total, and the half-segment reliability coefficients of the three factors ranged from .792 to .843. The test-retest reliability verification result for 3 weeks for 350 Junior college Students in 5 regions was .884, and the validity test for generalization also confirmed that the recruitment validity is significant.
