This study was conducted to investigate food needs for dining out in the context of rural healing tourism by surveying food preference characteristics. A total of 600 adults in an urban area completed an online questionnaire on food characteristics for rural healing tourism. Regarding the purpose of rural healing tourism, 61.2% of respondents answered 'relaxation' while 6.3% answered 'promotion of health'. Exactly 66.3% of respondents selected Korean foods (rice) as the preferable food type for dining out in the context of rural healing tourism. Respondents considered 'regionality' and 'ingredient' as more important among food quality characteristics, whereas 'professionality' was less important. Females perceived 'nutrition' and 'cooking' as more important than males. Among food characteristics of professionality, regionality, and traditionality, respondents most preferred 'using regional specialty food'. Preference for 'using traditional food' significantly increased with subject's age. Respondents rated 'balanced nutrition' most highly among food characteristics of health and nutrition. 'Seasonal food' was the most preferred food characteristic among cooking and ingredients. Females showed higher interest in nutrition, cooking, and ingredients and higher preferences related to food characteristics of nutrition, cooking, and ingredients than males. In conclusion, Korean foods (rice) or Korean full course menu items using local specialty foods or seasonal foods with balanced nutrition are needed for dining out in the context of rural healing tourism.
The aim of this study is develop a state-funded education and training curriculum to contribute to the development of the fashion industry infrastructure. This will be achieved based on the service sector by the competitive clothing sales personnel and fashion startups. The study was conducted using a qualitative research method. The participants were 20 representatives of fashion-related companies and employees from one traditional market and two fashion outlets in Seogu, Gwangju. The purpose of this study was to explore factors that affected the satisfaction of students' experiences in an education course, with the educational method and educational technology designed with a blended learning strategy. Blended learning is currently recognized as a good solution for the problems posed by both online and face-to-face learning, because it has features like flexibility and accessibility by using tools supporting both individualization and socialization. This study is one case that illustrates how blended learning can be applied at the university level. Subjects were 56 students who had participated in the class and responded to the survey questions. The gathered data were analyzed by using Factor Analysis and the Structural Equation Model. Based on the results of Factor Analysis, data revealed 5 factors: learning motivation, previous experience, ability to use information & technology, capability of self-regulated learning, and learning satisfaction. The results of the Structural Equation Model revealed causal relationships among the aforementioned factors as follows: (a) there was a statistically meaningful causal relationship between "learning motivation" and "capability of self-regulated learning", (b) there was a statistically meaningful casual relationship between "previous experience" and "capability of self-regulated learning", and (c) "capability of self-regulated learning" directly affected "learning satisfaction".
In this paper we developed e-Leaning system based on open source software. We selected the Moodle that after compared the open source learning management systems. Moodle is LAMP(Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) based course management system (CMS), a software package designed to help educators create quality online courses. One of the main advantages of Moodle over other systems is a strong grounding in social constructionist pedagogy. Also we integrated Moodle and legacy systems such as streaming service, webhard service, and short message service. The system operated during one semester at college using blended learning model. We had obtained showed that the students had almost all scored quite highly as preferred learning environment through COLLES(Constructivist On-Line Learning Environment Survey) and ATTLS(Attitudes to Thinking and Learning Survey). Therefore this research showed that open source based e-Loaming system is stable and possible.

Purpose: Level of reflective thinking of students are important factors in the area of nursing studies on web-based PBL. These factors were used as a component of learning strategies. One was to understand general recognition to web-based PBL and reaction to the use of reflective journal. The other was to investigate the level of reflective thinking was related to learning activity. Method: PBL was adopted for an online course titled 'Nursing Assessment and Intervention'. Twenty graduate students were evaluated from questionnaire, reflective journals, and individual assignments. Result: Web-based PBL was strong for self-directed learning, team activity, creative thinking, diversity of thinking, and diverse process of learning while hard time, lack of cooperation, uncertainty of outcome, and lack of time were considered as weakness. Reflective journal gave moderate help to learning activities. The learners' learning activities was the lowest in the middle level of reflective thinking. Conclusion: Generally, graduate students in college of nursing showed slightly positive attitude to PBL experience and slightly positive reaction to the learning effect of reflective journal. PBL was estimated to be valuable and meaningful. There was no relationship between the level of reflective thinking and learning activities.
For success in E-learning, support from a learning environment that enables learners to perform self-directed learning more effectively is assumed. However, most existing e-learning systems do not maximize the improvement in learners' self-regulated learning ability because they only partially accommodate factors that can facilitate self-directed learning. In this paper, a web-based e-learning system is designed and proposed that enables support of an enhanced self-directed learning environment by providing various learning methods, evaluation methods, learning content levels, and strategies for learning motivation in various conditions, and synthetically reflecting them. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed system, it was applied to the subject of data structures in a university course, and an online survey was conducted with the students. The results indicated that the proposed system can support a learning environment in which students can perform more effective self-directed learning, enhancing their learning ability.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of learning style on blended learning. Subjects were 102 college students(grade 1, department of physical therapy) who enrolled in 'neuroanatomy' course. Blended learning was composed of 13 weeks-3 hour/1week in offline and 16 chapters-24 lessons in online. According to Kolb's learning style, assimilator was the most common. There were no significant differences between the learning style but, they were most preferred blended learning(92.1% of subjects), improved participation and excitation in learning(each 55.5%, 58.8% of subjects), and blended learning was helpful in learning(85.1% of subjects). In student's satisfaction, there was significant difference between the learning style. Statistical difference was found in satisfaction between assimilator(80.7%) and accommodator(67.5%).
Whether the engineering department of universities employs ideal usage of e-learning or not needs to be investigated as many engineering departments diversify the use of the e-learning elements for educational purpose. Applying the teaching and learning methods and characteristics would lead to better strategies which are applied to development of contents and deployment of the e-learning courses. This study examines the characteristics and approaches of the usage of e-learning elements used by some instructors who use multimedia contents in offline teaching and learning environment. The results of this study shows that the e-learning elements assist the face-to-face course and the interactions are manifested in the classroom rather than in online setting. Lecture, hands-on-practice, simulation, and PBL(Problem-based learning) are turned out to be the major teaching and learning methods. This study signifies the need for use of various teaching and learning methods by the instructors and provision of PBL environment.
