성별에 따른 온라인 게임의 커뮤니케이션 유형 (Communication type of online game by gender)

  • Game players showed differences in their favorite genres according to gender and fun factors in games. Women prefer RPG, while men prefer RPG, FPS, and simulation. In addition, there was a difference in the type of communication in the game according to gender. Women showed SNS chat, and men preferred party play. People who chat regularly tend to communicate with others while playing games. The smaller the age, the more tendency to communicate with others. Also, 54% of the respondents said they do not chat while playing games. The reason for this is that they have experienced insult or discomfort through chats during the game.

Discourse Socialization in Synchronous Computer-Mediated Communication

  • This paper, based on a qualitative ethnographic study among college of education students, examines the online interactional processes surrounding academic discourse socialization. Data for this paper come from a larger study of an academic classroom community of graduate students and their instructor. In this study, I looked into the ways computer-mediated communication (CMC) contexts factor into graduate students' academic literacy experience in a graduate classroom, therein enculturating them into their new academic community. I focus on cases of nonnative graduate students in a content course in the department of educational psychology at a large southwestern university in the U.S. I explore the agency of the focal participants in terms of the roles they played in the classroom discourse highlighting the dialectical and interactional perspective of academic discourse socialization. This paper focused on the construction of varied participant roles of the focal students. It further examines student reactions and responses to these constructions during synchronous CMC activity.

  • In this study, we learned about the emergence of on-line communications originating from peoseuteol Computer Communications, the limitations of online communication, and the definition, traits and development of emoticons that serve as complementary roles, such as emotion and status. After analyzing various literacture and references, it was found that the emoticons functioned as a function of communicating the visual language of the digital era and communicating more sensitively to emotional factors. In a multimedia environment, emoticons are developed at a more advanced stage as the users' own icons due to a stronger tendency to pursue particularity and uniqueness. It is expected that eomotions added with multimedia functions will be more popular and vary in type. However, although the diversification of emotions as a commercial tool is already actively progressing, there appears a reverse effect in which an excessive use of emoticons is considered insincere in online communications. In such a background, research should be conducted that can support a systematic and effective development of emoticons through visual research rather than producing multimedia emoticons indiscreetly.

  • The article examines one of the most important means of visualization of mass information on the Internet - information graphics in the broadest sense of the term as a visual technology for presenting mass information. The main objectives of the article are to determine the genre-typological features of infographics and basic technological principles; identification of features of creation and use of information graphics in modern network. Certain benefits of online infographic editors include savings in resources and time. They allow the user, who has basic PC skills, to create standardized infographics based on their own data. In addition, the use of online services develops visual thinking, allows you to get an idea of quality criteria and current trends in infographics, as well as to gain initial experience in the visual presentation of data.

The moderating role of motivations in problematic use of online gaming: A study of live streaming viewers of Twitch

  • While the Internet continues to integrate with modern lives, the risks of negative outcomes resulting from problematic use (PU) are also increasing. Although psychological well-being and use motivations have been shown to play major roles in Internet PU, understanding the moderating mechanism is critical for advanced knowledge. The present study employed survey data from users of a live video-game streaming service (LVGS) that is an area rarely been studied. Result concluded a positive moderating effect of escapism motive (EM) on the association between loneliness and the PU of LVGS, while the moderating mechanism between EM and stress was not indicated. A moderating effect of information seeking (IS) on the relationship between stress and the PU of LVGS was found negative, but no mechanism between IS and loneliness was indicated. This study highlights how the interplay of different motivation and pathologies may induce or prevent video-game-related addiction.

대학도서관 온라인 주제가이드의 현황과 개선방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Current State of Online Subject Guides in Academic Libraries)

  • 본 연구는 국내 대학도서관 웹사이트를 조사하여 온라인 주제가이드의 현황을 분석하고 개선 방안을 제언하였다. 조사된 100개 대학 중 14개 대학만이 온라인 주제가이드를 제공하고 있는 것으로 나타나 국내 온라인 주제가이드의 구축은 초기 단계인 것으로 나타났다. 온라인 주제가이드들은 내용 구성면에서 볼 때 접근성, 포맷의 일관성, 자원통합성 영역은 우수한 것으로 평가되었으나 주제 다양화, 이용자 교육, 검색 영역에서 낮은 수준에 머물러 있는 것으로 나타났다. 향후 온라인 주제가이드가 지향해야 할 방향은 신속한 정보자원으로의 접근, 주제 특화된 이용자 교육, 사서와의 원활한 커뮤니케이션을 제공하는 원스탑(one-stop) 서비스가 되어야 할 것이다.

  • 본 연구는 간호사의 온라인 교육 태도 및 디지털 리터러시에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 대상자는 국내 의료기관 내·외과 병동에 근무하는 간호사 190명으로 일반적 특성과 인터넷 사용 특성, 온라인 학습 태도와 디지털 리터러시를 조사했다. 본 연구 결과, 온라인 학습태도와 디지털 리터러시는 인터넷에 대한 접근성, 유용성, 중요성 인식과 관련성이 있었다. 온라인 학습 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 성별, 근무병원 규모, 인터넷에 대한 유용성과 중요성 인식이었고, 디지털 리터러시에 영향을 미치는 요인은 나이, 직위, 인터넷에 대한 유용성과 중요성, 온라인 학습 태도였다. 온라인 간호교육 개발에는 인터넷 사용에 대한 인식과 온라인 학습 태도 및 디지털 리터러시와 같은 학습자 특성에 대한 고려가 필요하다.

Are Online and Offline Delinquency Mutually Exclusive? Blurred Boundaries between Cyber Space and the Real-World

  • This study examines the similarities and differences between the causes of juvenile delinquency in online and offline environments and in personal characteristics. The study utilizes data from the '2014 Survey on Juvenile Victimization in Korea'. The population of this survey is students attending middle and high schools across the country. While this paper is based on the Self-Control theory, opportunity factors based on the Routine Activity theory and the Situational Action theory are also applied. Results show that the causes of offline delinquency are low self-control, routine activity and frequent gaming and SNS use. The causes of online delinquency are high self-control, existence of communication with unknown persons and the spectrum of personal information online. The common element of offline and online delinquency was the presence of delinquent peers. These results show that while online and offline delinquency cannot be explained with the same methodology, at the same time they are not mutually exclusive.

  • Purpose - O2O (online to off-line) is a new economic concept being emerged in the 4th industrial age. Automobile distribution is also undergoing a change to the O2O system. In overseas, vehicles are already being sold through various online platforms. The purpose of this study is to analyze the domestic and foreign automobile distribution structure and intends to suggest the desirable direction of automobile sales in the 4th industrial age. Research design, data, and methodology - Through the investigation of previous studies and the actual cases, the advantages and disadvantages and trends of different types of automobile distribution structures. Result - It can be seen that domestic and foreign automobile brands have quite diverse distribution structures such as direct managed system, agency system, dealer system, direct sales system, online system and online/offline parallel system. Each type has its own characteristics. Conclusion - The distribution structure of automobiles is very diverse, and in particular, it is rapidly changing to an online sales system thanks to the development of information and communication technology and Internet technology and the popularization of smartphones.
