시뮬레이티드 어닐링을 활용한 조선 소조립 라인 소일정계획 최적화 (Short-term Scheduling Optimization for Subassembly Line in Ship Production Using Simulated Annealing)

  • 전 세계 조선 산업에서 생산성의 향상이 크게 이슈화되면서, 생산 라인의 생산성 향상을 위해 새로운 방법론, 생산 자동화, 향상된 생산계획 및 일정계획 등의 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 본 연구는 조선 생산의 일정계획과 관련하여 소조립 라인의 소일정계획의 최적화를 통한 생산성 향상에 관한 것이다. 소조립 라인의 소일정계획 최적화를 위하여 공정 별 작업자 배치와 운용에 관한 시나리오와 스키드 패턴의 투입 순서를 미정 다항식 문제로 정식화하고 문제 해결하기 위해 메타휴리스틱 방법 중 하나이며 확률변수를 사용하는 시뮬레이티드 어닐링을 적용하여 지역 최소값에 빠지는 것을 막고 전역 최소값을 찾도록 하였다. 실제 조선소의 소조립 라인의 작업 시간 데이터와 스키드 투입 순서 데이터를 사용하여 최적화를 수행하고 최적화 결과의 효과를 검증하였다.

작업완료시각 추정을 활용한 배치 스케줄링 및 사례 연구 (Batch Scheduling Algorithm with Approximation of Job Completion Times and Case Studies)

  • Many small and medium-sized manufacturing companies process various product types to respond different customer orders in a single production line. To improve their productivity, they often apply batch processing while considering various product types, constraints on batch sizes and setups, and due date of each order. This study introduces a batch scheduling heuristic for a production line with multiple product types and different due dates of each order. As the process times vary due to the different batch sizes and product types, a recursive equation is developed based on a flow line model to obtain the upper bound on the completion times with less computational complexity than full computation. The batch scheduling algorithm combines and schedules the orders with same product types into a batch to improve productivity, but within the constraints to match the due dates of the orders. The algorithm incorporates simple and intuitive principles for the purpose of being applied to small and medium companies. To test the algorithm, two case studies are introduced; a high pressure coolant (HPC) manufacturing line and a press process at a plate-type heat exchanger manufacturer. From the case studies, the developed algorithm provides significant improvements in setup frequency and thus convenience of workers and productivity, without violating due dates of each order.

  • Efficient scheduling and resource management are the key factor to reduce construction project budget (e.g., labor cost, equipment cost, material cost, etc.). Resource-based line of balance (LOB) technique has been used to complement the limitations of existing time-driven scheduling techniques (e.g., critical-path method). Optimizing construction alternatives contributes to cost savings while honoring the project deadline. However, existing LOB scheduling is lack of identifying optimal resource combination. This study presents a method which identifies the optimal construction alternatives, hence achieving resource minimization in a repetitive construction by using genetic algorithm (GA). The method provides efficient planning tool that enhances the usability of the system.

부분 해를 이용한 IRIS 실시간 태스크용 온-라인 스케줄링 알고리즘의 성능향상 (Performance Enhancement of On-Line Scheduling Algorithm for IRIS Real-Time Tasks using Partial Solution)

  • 본 논문에서는 가치함수를 가지면서 동적으로 도착하는 IRIS(Increasing Reward with Increasing Service) 실시간 태스크들의 총 가치를 최대화하기 위한 온-라인 스케줄링 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 논문은 스케줄링 알고리즘의 성능향상에 역점을 두고 있으며, 이는 다음 두 가지 아이디어를 기반으로 한다. 첫째, 총가치를 최대화하는 문제는 가치함수들의 최대 도함수 값들 중 최소 값을 찾는 문제를 해결함으로써 풀 수 있다는 것이다. 둘째, 새로운 태스크가 도착하기 전까지 이 전에 스케줄된 태스크들 중 소수만이 실제 실행되고, 나머지는 새로 도착한 태스크와 함께 다시 스케줄링 된다는 사실을 발견하고, 매 스케줄링 시 모든 태스크들을 스케줄링하는 것이 아니라, 일부 태스크들만 스케줄링하자는 것이다. 제안 알고리즘의 성능은 다양한 경우에 대한 모의실험으로 검증되었다. 실험 결과 제안 알고리즘의 계산 복잡도는 최악의 경우 기존 알고리즘과 동일한 $O(N_2)$이지만, 평균적으로 이 보다 낮은 O(N)에 가까운 것으로 확인되었다.

  • Dynamic characteristic of manufacturing stage is understood and the utilization of each machine is maximized by developing on-line dynamic CAPP system to consider the overloads in the aircraft part manufacturing line. In this paper, a scheme of production planning and scheduling system was proposed through inspection about some predeveloped CAPP system. Developed production planning and scheduling system included process planning module. After precise inspection of some FMS line schema at domestic heavy industry, optimized FMS line was applied to aircraft part manufacturing and repairing factory. By virtue of considering overloads of factory and machine through on-line dynamic CAPP system, the utilization of resources is maximized and manufacturing lead time is minimized.

  • Off-line feed rate scheduling is an advanced methodology to automatically determine optimum feed rates for the optimization of NC code. However, the present feed rate scheduling systems have lim~tations to generate the optimized NC codes because they use the material removal rate or non-generalized cutting force model. In this paper, a feed rate scheduling system based on an improved cutting force model that can predrct cutting forces exactly in general machining was presented. Original blocks of NC code were divided to small ones with the modified feed rates to adjust the peak value of cutting forces to a constant vale. The characteristic of acceleration and deceleration for a given machrne tool was considered when off-line feed rate scheduhng was performed. Software for the NC code optimization was developed and applied to pocket machining simulation.

  • Systematic studies on the dispatch scheduling algorithm and related constraints can enhance the effectiveness of electricity market operation. When System Operator (SO) establishes a dispatch schedule, the bid information should be preserved in the schedule as much as possible. In this paper, we introduce a new type of sensitivity factor called Line Outage Impact Factor (LOIF) to screen a transmission line causing the most severe outage when scheduling the dispatch. This screening can assure the stable system operation and make an efficient feedback between the SO and market participants. We propose a transmission line contingency constrained Pre-dispatch algorithm using sensitivity indices in a suitable Pre-dispatch scheduling. The proposed algorithm has been tested on sample system and the results show more secure operation against critical contingencies.

On-line Scheduling Analysis for Job-Shop Type FMS

  • This paper presents a job-shop type flexible manufacturing system(FMS) scheduling problem and examines the effects of scheduling rules on the performance of FMS. Several machine and AGV scheduling rules are tested against the mean flow-time criterion. In this paper, I compare the rules under various experimental conditions by using an FMS simulation model. One of the objectives of this study is to discuss how the simulation-based scheduling problem can be operated. The other is to measure sensitivity of the rules to changes at inter arrival time, queue capacity, breakdown rates for machines and AGV, and AGV speed. Therefore, the results of simulation experiments were considered on FMS design and operating stages. A comprehensive bibliograph? is also presented in the paper.

  • The purpose of this study is developing scheduling logic and program for machining scheduling of automobile part production line with unbalanced processing time. Three rules are developed to minimize slack and effect on other job. Fourth rule is suggested which considered weighted sum of three factors. schedule is generated totally 1, 000 times and then optimal weight parameter is selected. The program is developed to schedule situation to compare with the performance measure, total finish time of machine and total tardiness of part. As a result, the rule which considered weighted sum of three factors is effective for both measure.

  • An expert scheduling system on real time basis for computer-aided manufacturing systems has been developed. In developing expert scheduling system, the most time-consuming job is to obtain rules from expert schedulers. An efficient process of obtaining rules directly form the schedules produced by expert schedulers is proposed. By the process, a set of complete and minimal set of rules is obtained. During a real time scheduling, when given information on possible values of elements, the rules produce possible values of decision elements, where logical explanations of the result may be offered in terms of chaining rules. The learning and scheduling processes have been simulated with an automated manufacturing line engaged in the production of circuit boards.
