여자 윈드서핑 선수의 경기 중 Global Positioning System 정보를 활용한 경기력 분석 (Analysis of Female Windsurfers' Performance Using Global Positioning System Information During Competitions)

  • Objective: This study aimed to identify the different wind speed categories and competitive level among windsurfers through GPS variables to provide the useful information on the development of training programs for enhancing windsurfers' performance. Method: Data from 69 female athletes who participated in 27 races during the 2018-2019 windsurfing season were used for the analysis. Average board speed, total race time, total distance, upwind race time, downwind race time, beam reach race time were collected through GPS. Unconfirmed data were excluded along with penalty point data. The wind conditions were classified as light, light to medium, medium, medium to heavy, and heavy wind, the competitive levels were classified as level 1, level 2, and level 3. Results: As for the average board speed, the level 1 or level 2 group showed higher board speed than the level 3 group in all wind conditions except for the light wind. The total race time and upwind race time showed less time in level 1 or level 2 group than level 3 group in all wind conditions. The total distance, downwind race time and beam reach race time showed less distance and time in level1 group than level 3 group under sufficient wind conditions. Conclusion: Our results show that the aerobic capacity to sustain pumping during upwind course in wind conditions below 15 kts effects performance. In wind conditions of 15 kts or more, indicated that the board control for the fast board speed and small distance required during up, down, beam reach courses had an effect on competition performance. This information can be provided to windsurfers and coaching as basic data for training programs to improve performance.

저층 트롤에서 3차원 위치를 이용한 만곡형 전개판의 영각 추정 (An estimated angle of attack of a cambered otter board in a bottom trawl using three dimensional position)

  • The angle of attack of a cambered otter board in a bottom trawl was estimated using a three-dimensional semi-analytic treatment of a towing cable (warp) system that was applied to the field experiments of a bottom trawl obtained by the Scanmar system. The equilibrium condition of the horizontal component and vertical component of forces was used to the three forces acting on the otter board in the horizontal plane. Those forces were the force on the warp at the bracket, hydrodynamic lift and drag forces on the otter board and the force on the hand rope attached just behind the otter board. Also the equilibrium of moment about the front edge of the otter board was used to find out the angle of attack of the cambered otter board. When the warp length was 120m and 180m long and the towing speed was between 1.23 and 1.90 m/s, the estimated angle of attack of the cambered otter board was ranged between $26.1^{\circ}$ and $29.6^{\circ}$, respectively, though the maximum lift force was at the angle of attack $22.6^{\circ}$. The angle of attack of the otter board was tended to increase weakly with the longer length of warp (180 m) at the same towing speed in the experiment.

Influence of Temperature on Microsporidian Multiplication and Spore Production in Various Tissues of Silkworm (Bombyx mori L.) During Larval Development

  • Multiplication and spore production of three microsporidia viz., Nosema bombycis, Nosema sp. 1 and Nosema sp. 2 in fifth instar larval tissues of silkworm, Bombyx mori L. in two seasons with distinct temperature regimes were studied. Nosema sp. 2 produced significantly (P < 0.01) higher number of spores in various tissues. Among the tissues, spore production was highest in silk gland, followed by fat body and gut. Spore production was significantly (P < 0.01) higher in season-II (Average temperature $29.4{\pm}1.1^{\circ}C$). Maximum spore production was observed 25 days post inoculation (p. i.) in season-I (Average temperature $18.9{\pm}1.1^{\circ}C$), whereas in season-II, it was 14 days p. i. In season-I, spore production was low up to 21 days p. i., then increased sharply. In season-II, there was a steady increase in spore production. The results indicate that the microsporidian multiplication is tissue specific and extremely sensitive to temperature at which the host is reared. It also reveals that, silk gland, fat body and gut are the most appropriate tissues for microscopic identification of microsporidia in the larval stage.

소화기내과 전임의 교육 체계에 대한 해외 사례 (Foreign Systems of Education for Gastrointestinal Fellows)

  • There is a growing interest in gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship training in Korea and other countries. The Korean Society of Gastroenterology held an international symposium for gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship training, titled, "GI Fellow Training in Asia-Pacific Countries" on April 14, 2018. The Japanese education system was different for each hospital. The American societies for gastroenterology set up their education system together and have continued with frequent modification. The Taiwan and Singapore education systems are well organized and localized. We need a well-organized and sustainable education system for gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship training suitable for Korea.

해상특수경비원 교육과정 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of a Training Course for Maritime Security Operatives)

  • 소말리아를 포함하여 서아프리카 및 동남아시아지역에서는 여전히 선박의 안전과 선원의 생명을 위협하는 해적공격이 발생하고 있다. 우리나라는 국적선의 해적공격으로부터 국민의 재산과 생명을 보호할 목적으로 지난 2016년 12월 27일 국제항해선박 등에 대한 해적행위 피해예방에 관한 법률(이하 "해적피해예방법"이라 한다.)을 제정하였다. 동 법률은 위험해역을 항해하는 선박에 승선하여 선박의 안전운항 경비 업무를 수행하는 해상특수경비원의 승선을 법적으로 허용하고 있다. 또한 이들이 효과적으로 업무를 수행할 수 있도록 교육훈련을 이수하도록 규정하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국제해사기구의 문서 및 해상특수경비원의 제도를 도입한 외국의 교육제도 분석 등을 통해서 국내법으로 시행되는 해상특수경비원의 교육과정을 개발하여 제시하고자 한다.

외항상선 외국인선원 입국 후 교육의 체계화에 관한 기초연구 (A Study on the Systematization of Education after the Entry of Foreign Seafarers who is On-boarding in Ocean-going Merchant Vessel in Korea)

  • 해운산업구조의 변화에 따라 다양한 국적의 선원을 자국민 선원과 함께 승선시키는 혼승선박이 증가하고 있다. 선상 업무의 특성과 함께 혼승에 따른 문화가 형성되고 이는 선내 생활환경의 변화를 초래하여 의사소통의 문제, 교육훈련의 부족 등 다양한 문제점을 야기하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 혼승에 따른 문제점을 파악하고 해결하기 위해 외항선 외국인선원 입국 후 교육의 체계화를 위한 방안을 제시하였다. 다양한 규모의 선사에서 외국인선원의 인사 관련 업무를 담당하고 있는 인원을 대상으로 설문을 실시하고 IBM SPSS Statistic 26 프로그램을 사용하여 설문 결과를 분석하였다. 설문 조사 결과에 따라 외국인선원 교육형태, 교육방법, 문제점 등을 파악하고 이를 기반으로 관련 교육의 체계화를 통해 문제점을 해결할 3가지 개선방안을 제시하였다.

  • It is one of the most important factors Seafarers Education Quality Assurance and management in Higher Maritime Education Institution. The educational process and result of Higher Maritime Educational Institution. The educational process and result of Higher Maritime Educational Institution should be evaluated according to the 1995 Amendments to the International Convention on Standards of Training Certification and Watchkddping for Seafares(STCW) 1978. Actuall above-mentioned evaluation is deemed to make foundation in order to enhance the efficiency of shipboard education by surveying the satisfaction of shipboard training for Marine Engineering part cadets by the group. In this paper we carried out the questionnaire survey to study stisfactory value and the reason of dissatisfaction of 89 cadets being trained on board the Training Ship in Maritime College of Korea Maritime University The results were calculated by frequency and percentage; the significance of difference among Department groups like Marine Engineering Maritime polic and Ship Operating Systems Engineering Engineering was analysed by $x^2$ inspection.

무릎 밴드를 이용한 EMS와 High-intensity Circuit Training의 대퇴근육 활성화 효과 (Use of an Electric Muscle Stimulation Thigh Band and High-intensity Circuit Training to Activate the Thigh Muscle)

  • The purpose of this study was to effectively improve the thigh muscles of adult women working from home due to COVID-19. In this study, ten adult women working from home performed 1) an electromyography test, 2) a static balance test on a balance board, and a 3) dynamic balance test by squatting on a Bosu ball four times: before electric muscle stimulation (EMS), after EMS, after high-intensity circuit training (HICT), and after EMS plus HICT. For this test, EMS was attached to a medical knee support to manufacture an EMS knee band that could be easily worn regardless of the location. For the experiment, EMS(electric muscle stimulation) was attached to the medical knee protector to manufacture an EMS knee band that can be easily worn regardless of location, and was measured based on the right foot. The study results confirmed that in all tests (electromyography test, static balance test on the balance board, and dynamic balance test by squatting on a Bosu ball), thigh strength improved in the order of treatment before EMS, after EMS, after HICT, and after EMS plus HICT. The study showed that people working from home or with activity restrictions due to COVID-19 had better exercise effects when wearing the EMS knee band and performing HICT, even in a small space.

퇴역 실습선의 효율적인 활용을 위한 제언

  • 대한민국은 정부의 지원 아래 해기사 양성을 위한 교육훈련이 체계적으로 이루어지고 있다. 특히 다른 나라와는 달리 실습을 목적으로 설계-건조된 고가의 신조 실습선을 제공함으로써 실습생의 안전 확보와 효율적인 실습이 가능하도록 지원하고 있다. 이러한 제도에 의하여 최근 몇 척의 실습선이 퇴역하였으나, 이러한 퇴역 실습선에 대한 활용 방안은 정립되어 있지 않다. 이에 퇴역 실습선의 현황과 문제점을 고찰하고 이를 토대로 효율적인 활용을 위한 방안을 제시한다.

위탁선사 실습생의 승선실습 만족도에 관한 기초 연구 (A Basic Study on the Satisfaction of On-board Training for Cadets in Shipping Company)

  • The one-year onboard training, which has been implemented since 1988 according to the STCW Convention in 1978, is a crucial part of cadets' training and education. The choice of training shipping company is important that like a internship. This basic study is for the satisfaction at the shipping companies that trains cadets the Mokpo National Maritime University. The satisfaction for onboard training consists of a conscious, educational and environmental parts with six demographic characteristics and carried out the questionnaire survey of 206 cadets in shipping companies. The low parts of satisfaction are implemented cross tabulation analysis and in-depth interview for realize the reason. In this paper, the satisfaction from environmental part($3.83{\pm}0.75$) is high but conscious part($3.35{\pm}0.86$) and educational part($3.33{\pm}0.79$) are low. In demographic characteristics, male in gender, apprentice officer in duty, others in kind of crew, container in kind of vessel and 30,000~100,000 tons in size of vessel are high satisfaction in general. Specifically, feeding service($4.02{\pm}0.75$) in environment, influence on future vision($3.65{\pm}0.84$) in consciousness, goal for training($3.50{\pm}0.65$) in education showed the highest level in satisfaction.
