OnBoard Vision Based Object Tracking Control Stabilization Using PID Controller

  • In this paper, we propose a simple and effective vision-based tracking controller design for autonomous object tracking using multicopter. The multicopter based automatic tracking system usually unstable when the object moved so the tracking process can't define the object position location exactly that means when the object moves, the system can't track object suddenly along to the direction of objects movement. The system will always looking for the object from the first point or its home position. In this paper, PID control used to improve the stability of tracking system, so that the result object tracking became more stable than before, it can be seen from error of tracking. A computer vision and control strategy is applied to detect a diverse set of moving objects on Raspberry Pi based platform and Software defined PID controller design to control Yaw, Throttle, Pitch of the multicopter in real time. Finally based series of experiment results and concluded that the PID control make the tracking system become more stable in real time.

  • If we consider the cubism, which newly attempted the avant-garde movement in the mid-19th century, was an experimental movement to feel the space through the human action and observation from various viewpoints at the fixed three-dimensional world, then the futurism was an innovative movement that obtained an ion from continual motions. However, the study about meaning and emotion that correspond with the dis-structuralization era could not have been continuing. Therefore, the goal of this study is to construct an emotional theory and grope a possibility of the way to do through some theoretical investigations and experimental analysis about body movement and emotional expression. For the study method, experiment and analysis have been proceeded based on Miyauji study(1992) which was based on P. Thiel theory that is about direct recognition and empirical study for identical existence or experimentation. As a result of the study, it reached several conclusions. The first, body movement as an emotion that makes meaning is related to the space. The second is that the space is related to the background as an object of body. The last is that body as a creature which becomes the one with spirit in the space makes meaning. We look forward to a possibility of emotional study through the body movement.

Experimental Verification of Relaxation Effect of Tree Planting using Eye Movement Tracking

  • In the Japanese garden, a unique planting design has been used to improve visual harmony with the surrounding landscape by planting plants around the objects that are not harmonious with surrounding landscape. In this study, physiopsychological effects of plants caused by a traditional planting skill used in Japanese garden was verified in terms of visual relaxation using eye movement recording and semantic differential method. A total of fourteen Japanese volunteers(seven male and seven female) who have normal vision(aged $21{\sim}28$) participated as subjects. Experiment was carried out in the sealed room of Chiba University in Japan. Four different types of scenery models were presented which were created by combination of the three landscape factors of the surrounding background, the object that disturbs visual harmony, and the trees planted for improving visual harmony with the surrounding landscape. In the results, significantly more gaze fixations were measured on the trees than on the object and higher values in positive feelings were recorded for the stimuli with proper planting combination. Our results indicated that proper tree planting can cause physiopsychological relaxation by improving visual harmony with the surrounding landscape and provided new evidence for supporting scientific validity of the traditional planting skills.

액티브 포커싱을 이용한 3차원 물체의 깊이 계측 (Active Focusing Technique for Extracting Depth Information)

  • In this paper,a new approach-using the linear movement of the lens location in a camera and focal distance in each location for the measurement of the depth of the 3-D object from several 2-D images-is proposed. The sharply focused edges are extracted from the images obtained by moving the lens of the camera, that is, the distance between the lens and the image plane, in the range allowed by the camera lens system. Then the depthin formation of the edges are obtained by the lens location. In our method, the accurate and complicated control system of the camera and a special algorithm for tracing the accurate focus point are not necessary, and the method has some advantage that the depth of all objects in a scene are measured by only the linear movement of the lens location of the camera. The accuracy of the extracted depth information is approximately 5% of object distances between 1 and 2m. We can see the possibility of application of the method in the depth measurement of the 3-D objects.

  • 본 논문에서는 비디오 데이터로부터 물체의 초기 움직임 영역을 자동으로 검출하는 방법을 소개한다. 제안하는 시스템은 먼저 입력 영상을 받아들인 후 인접된 영상으로부터 일정 크기의 정방향의 블록 단위로 움직임을 나타내는 모션 벡터를 추출한다. 그리고 추출된 모션벡터를 아웃라이어를 제거하는 강건 예측 알고리즘에 적용하여 배경에 해당하는 모션벡터와 잡음 및 움직이는 물체에 해당하는 모션벡터를 구분한다. 그런 다음, 군집화 알고리즘을 적용하여 이동하는 물체를 나타내는 모션벡터를 군집화하고, 군집화된 모션벡터에 해당하는 영역의 크기가 일정 수치 값 이상일 때 움직이는 물체가 감지되었다고 판단한다. 본 논문의 실험에서는 제안된 물체의 움직임 감지 방법이 기존의 방법에 비해 성능이 보다 우수함을 보인다.

  • This paper proposes a method of assembling parts using visual servoing in dynamic environment. We use SSD(Sum of Square Difference) based on adaptive template in order to detect a moving object in the case where the robot and the object both move. And the control input of the robot is obtained from the feed-back signal of the feature movement and the feed-forward signal of the camera movement in image plane.

관심 NPC 추출을 이용한 효율적인 FPS 게임 운영에 관한 연구 (A Study on Efficient FPS Game Operation Using Attention NPC Extraction)

  • The extraction of attention NPC in a FPS game has emerged as a very significant issue. We propose an efficient FPS game operation method, using the attention NPC extraction with a simple arithmetic. First, we define the NPC, using the color histogram interaction and texture similarity in the block to determine the attention NPC. Next, we use the histogram of movement distribution and frequency of movement of the NPC. Becasue, except for the block boundary according to the texture and to extract only the boundaries of the object block. The edge strength is defined to have high values at the NPC object boundaries, while it is designed to have relatively low values at the NPC texture boundaries or in interior of a region. The region merging method also adopts the color histogram intersection technique in order to use color distribution in each region. Through the experiment, we confirmed that NPC has played a crucial role in the FPS game and as a result it draws more speed and strategic actions in the game.

Near-body Interaction Enhancement with Distance Perception Matching in Immersive Virtual Environment

  • As recent virtual reality technologies provide a more natural three-dimensional interactive environment, users naturally learn to explore space and interact with synthetic objects. The virtual reality researcher develops a technique that realizes realistic sensory feedback to get appropriate feedback to sense input behavior. Although much recent virtual reality research works extensively consider the human factor, it is not easy to adapt to all new virtual environment contents. Among many human factors, distance perception has been treated as very important in virtual environment interaction accuracy. We study the experiential virtual environment with the feature of the virtual object connected with the real object. We divide the three-dimensional interaction, in which distance perception and behavior have a significant influence, into two types (whole-body movement and direct manipulation) and analyze the real and virtual visual distance perception heterogeneity phenomenon. Also, we propose a statistical correction method that can reduce a near-body movement and manipulation error when changing the interaction location and report the experiment results proving its effectiveness.

가림현상에 대처한 실시간 이동 물체 추적 (Handled in real-time tracking of moving object occlusion)

  • 일반적으로 이동 물체 추적은 움직임 및 회전, 크기에 견고한 루카스-카나데 특징 추적 방법이 많이 사용된다. 그러나 이 방법은 추적하던 이동 물체가 배경이나, 다른 물체 등으로 인해 추적하는 물체가 가려질 경우, 이동 물체를 추적하지 못하고 배경이나 다른 물체 등을 추적하거나, 추적이 종료된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 루카스-카나데 특징 추적 방법에 평가 함수와 이동 물체 추적 예측을 도입하여, 가림현상에도 이동 물체를 추적하는 방법을 제안한다.
