Methods: The study was a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. This study was carried out from October 19 to December 11, 2015. Participants were fifty-six undergraduate nursing students who assigned to either an action learning-based nursing ethics education or traditional lecture. Outcomes were measured assessed self-assertiveness and ethical values using questionnaires. Results: There was a significant improvement in the self-assertiveness in the experimental group who received an action learning-based nursing ethics education than the control group who undertook the traditional lecture (p=.017). However, ethical values were not statistically signigicant between two groups (p=.347). Conclusion: This study demonstrated that an action learning-based nursing ethics education for undergraduate students is very effective in promoting self-assertiveness compared to the traditional lecture.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the educational needs of research ethics among nursing researchers. Methods: Convenience sample of 161 nursing professors and 262 master or doctoral nursing students participated in the study. Data was collected with self-reported questionnaire from June to August 2009, and analyzed with descriptive statistics using SPSS WIN (version 14.0). Results: Among 161 nursing professors, about 31.7% has educated nursing ethics in the postgraduate course. The most common course was nursing research or methodology (62.7%), and median education time was 2 hr. Areas that showed difficulty in understanding was the conflict of interest and plagiarism for professors and falsification and fabrication for graduate students. Average knowledge on the research ethics was 75.4 points for professors and 61.6 points for students based on the 100 points. Conclusion: Educational needs of research ethics among nursing professors and students in the postgraduate course was high. Purpose: This study was done to investigate changes in nursing students' moral judgment throughout their professional education, and to identify more suitable ways to evaluate ethics education by using P (%) scores only and P (%) scores with 4th scores. Methods: The study consisted of cross-sectional and longitudinal surveys as well as a study using a nonequivalent control group pre-post experimental design. The participants were nursing students attending a university in Gyeongju, Korea. The data were collected from September 1, 2006 to October 31, 2009 using the Korean version of the Defining Issues Test. Results: In the cross-sectional survey, there was no significant difference in the nursing students' moral judgment scores according to their school grades. In the longitudinal survey, nursing students' moral judgment scores did not change significantly over the duration of their education. In the nonequivalent control group study, the effectiveness of nursing ethics education was identified by P (%) scores only. Conclusion: The evidence indicates that nursing professional education does not influence the development of nursing students' moral judgment, and using P (%) scores only seems to be a better way compared to other ways to evaluate the effects of nursing ethics education.

Methods : The research subjects consisted of junior and senior nursing students enrolled in four colleges located in City B, South Korea Structured questionnaires were distributed to the subject and a total of 262 copies of survey responses were analyzed. The collected data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation, t-test, and analysis of variance (ANOVA) using SPSS/WIN 22.0 program. The correlation relationship was investigated based on the Pearson correlation coefficient. Multiple regression was used to capture the effect on the nursing professionalism. Results : A positive correlation was observed between the nursing students satisfaction in major and consciousness of biomedical ethics (r=.280, p<.001), between satisfaction in major and nursing professionalism (r=.581, p<.001), and between consciousness of biomedical ethics and nursing professionalism (r=.290, p<.001). General satisfaction (β=.227, p=.001), and relationship satisfaction (β=.248, p=.000) among major satisfaction had the strongest prediction power for the nursing professionalism of nursing students, followed by right to life of fetus (β=.190, p=.000) among consciousness of biomedical ethics and motivation for admission (β=.137, p=.006). These predictors explained 36.9 % of the variable of nursing professionalism. Conclusion : Based on this study result, repeated studies are required that can confirm diverse influential factors on the nursing professionalism of nursing students. Operation of curriculums and development of programs that increase the nursing students' satisfaction in major and foster their nursing professionalism are required in the future.

Method: Data were collected from September 1st to 9th, 2008 using a 4-point Likert scale which was designed by Kwon. Results: The average score of perception of biomedical ethics was $2.88{\pm}0.22$. The highest score, $3.13{\pm}0.35$, was seen in the category of the ethics for right to life, the lowest, $2.49{\pm}0.33$, was seen in the category of ethics of death. There was no significant difference in perception of biomedical ethics according to marital status, participation in religious activity or career length. There was a significant difference in reproductive ethics according to marital status (F=3.559, p= .001) and participation in religious activity (F=3.914, p= .011). There was a significant difference in ethics of death according to career length (F=3.779, p= .011). Statistically significant differences were shown in ethics for right to life according to the ethical values (F=4.421, p= .005) and attendance of a conference for biomedical ethics (F=4.133, p= .018). The difference of the perception of biomedical ethics was significant in ethical values (F=3.859, p= .010) and attendance of a conference for biomedical ethics (F=3.783, p= .025). Conclusion: Continuing educational programs need to be developed and more reinforced education should be offered.

The total mean scores of consciousness of bio-medical ethics between nursing(3.04/4) and non-nursing(2.88/4) were significantly different(t=6.79, p<.001). There were statistically significant differences between two groups in sub-categories of consciousness of bio-medical ethics: right to life of fetus, prenatal diagnosis of fetus, right to life of newborn, euthanasia, organ transplantation, brain death. The major predicting factors for consciousness of bio-medical ethics were experience of studying for biomedical ethics over 1 semester, experience of conflict for biomedical ethic problem, and ethical attitude in nursing department.
