The mean score of mood state was 39.20 and the mean score of the quality of life was 83.59. The levels of mood state and the quality of life were negatively correlated. The significant factors influencing quality of life were vigor and anger of the mood state, religion that explained 39.1% of the variance. The results suggests that appropriate support service should be provided to improve the quality of life after nurses evaluate breast cancer survivor's mood states and identify the symptoms of mood disturbances.

The experience of drinking showed no significant differences according to the grade and the experience of prevention education on drug abuse. Attitudes on drug abuse according to the general characteristics showed significant differences according to the grade (t=4.10, p=.007), the degree of satisfaction at the school(t=8.86, p=.000), their association with any father's drinking(t=3.18, p=.002) and mother's(t=5.23, p=.000), father's smoking(t=3.21, p=.001) and mother's(t=31.87, p=.000), the state of drug use during the pain(t=7.18, p=.000).

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine anger-expression patterns and their association with state and trait anger and physical and psychological health status in health care workers. Method: Four hundred and forty eight nurses, physicians and technicians from a large medical center completed standardized questionnaires of anger, anger-expression patterns and mood. They also had blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose and body mass index measured during their annual physical examinations. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, chi-square and ANOVA. Results: Subjects showed two major clusters of anger-expression patterns: anger-control and anger-in/out. Subjects with the anger-in/out pattern reported higher state and trait anger and more anxiety, depression and fatigue than subjects with the anger-control pattern. Physical health indicators, however, were not significantly different between the two clusters of anger-expression patterns. Conclusion: Anger-expression patterns are associated with psychological health status but not with physical health status. Anger-expression patterns, however, need to be examined over time to assess their long-term effects on the physical and psychological health status in future studies.

  • U-health services have been progressed as treatment and management for specific diseases and prevention services for providing the behavior management to customers according to the increase in chronic patients. The conventional U-health services provide required services and bio-information monitoring only through remote diagnoses and counsels and that represent limitations in preventing and managing metabolic syndrome patients like chronic patients. Thus, in this study a multi platform based U-health service model for managing the health of chronic patients is proposed. The multi-platform based U-health service model can provide continuous health information, diet, and exercise services regardless of the location of customers through PCs and smart phones. In addition, it is able to provide prescription services to doctors and nurses using a CDS (Clinical Decision Support) module based on clinical information. Doctors can identify the life pattern of patients through a behavior modification program and provide customized services to patients. The U-health service model provides effective services in multi-platform environments to customers and that will improve the health of chronic patients.

  • This was a methodological study that verified the validity and reliability by translating and modifying the Korean Version of LRM (leader rapport management) tool. This study verified the content validity, construct validity, concurrent validity and convergent validity on 200 nurses working in general hospitals. The LRM tool was analyzed using a total of 3 factors (ego, autonomy, association) and 12 items. The reliability of this tool (Cronbach's ${\alpha}$) was 0.83 to 0.86. The tool showed a high level of reliability and validity. The difference from preceding studies showed that the LRM is a measurement tool that considers multi-dimensional aspects, and it can provide the basic material of report management methods in diverse aspects for clinical nurse managers.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the association between emotional labor and job stress in bus drivers, as well as to propose management strategies for job stress. Methods: The study was conducted in February 2013 and involved 182 bus drivers working in the Gyeonggi area. Results: emotional labor was $9.5{\pm}2.34$ on average, and job stress was higher than the median of the same indicator among Korea's workers in the areas of physical environment, job autonomy, and relationship conflicts. Factors that affected job stress was lower if the subjects' Higher values for emotional labor indicated a higher level of job stress. Conclusion: To reduce among drivers, the following measures are necessary: increase the comfort of the driver's seat within the vehicle, provide adequate rest between bus headways, provide comfortable in-house rest facilities, and establish physical training spaces to reduce musculoskeletal disorders as well as programs for reducing back pain. In addition, relationship conflicts may be relieved by increasing job autonomy as much as possible, by granting autonomous control of working hours and bus headways, as well as by banning long work hours. Moreover, various club activities, exercise programs, and counseling programs that workers can be involved in together may be beneficial. This study is significant in that it identified the relationship of the bus drivers' emotional labor and job stress, which has previously been ignored as a research topic. Through its results, this study provides baseline data for the preparation of management strategies that can address the job stress of bus drivers.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the differences in sleep disturbance, stress, self-efficacy and depression by fatigue level and to identify the factors influencing fatigue in hemodialysis patients. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design and the subjects were 195 patients undergoing hemodialysis in a local unit. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and medical records from June to August 2012. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one way ANOVA, $Scheff{\grave{e}}$ test, and Pearson's correlation coefficients. Also a multiple regression analysis was used to assess the independent association between fatigue status and indices of sleep disturbance, stress, self-efficacy and depression. Results: A total of 99 (50.8%) subjects experienced a high level of fatigue and 96 (49.2%) experienced a low level of fatigue. There were significant differences in the levels of sleep disturbance, stress, self-efficacy and depression between the two groups. Fatigue was significantly correlated to sleep disturbance, stress, self-efficacy and depression. The most important factor related to fatigue was stress, followed by sleep disturbance. These factors explained about 37% of fatigue of the respondents. Conclusion: The results of this study showed that sleep disturbance and stress were significant predictors of fatigue in hemodialysis patients. Possible interventions for minimizing fatigue in patients undergoing long-term hemodialysis should be aimed to manage the known contributing factors.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the mediating effects of self-efficacy and the belief about medication on the association between depression and medication adherence in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. Methods: 128 patients aged ${\geq}19years$, who were regular outpatients or admitted patients diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus at a tertiary hospital in B city, participated in this study. Data were collected by using a self-administered questionnaire. Testing of mediating effects was analyzed by a parallel redundant mediated model using the PROCESS macro for SPSS version 3.3. Results: They scored an average of $16.71{\pm}11.13$ for depression, $694.14{\pm}170.68$ for self-efficacy, $3.05{\pm}4.60$ for the belief about medication, and $90.14{\pm}15.37$ for medication adherence. The direct effect of depression on medication adherence was not statistically significant, but the indirect effects of depression mediated with self-efficacy and belief about medication were statistically significant. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop and apply a nursing intervention program that can not only relieve depression but also promote self-efficacy and the belief about medication with the objective of improving medication adherence among patients with systemic lupus erythematosus.
