특허출원교육시스템의 사용자 수용관계에 관한 연구: 사전지식의 조절효과 중심 (A Study on User Acceptance of Patent Application Education System: Focused on the Effect of Prior Knowledge)

  • 본 연구는 특허출원교육 프로그램의 효과적인 진행을 위해 개발된 PatentNOW의 대학생들의 수용과정을 기술수용모델과 사전지식이론을 바탕으로 접근하였다. 연구결과, 첫째 지각된 사용용이성은 지각된 유용성에 긍정적 영향을 주었다. 둘째 지각된 유용성과 지각된 사용용이성은 사용태도에 긍정적 영향을 주었고 사용태도 역시 사용의도에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 셋째 PatentNOW 사용자들이 갖는 특허제도에 대한 사전지식 수준과 특허출원 경험은 지각된 사용용이성과 사용태도와의 관계에 있어 약화시키는 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 특허출원교육의 질적 향상을 위해서 교육생들의 사전지식 수준에 따른 PatentNOW의 활용 교수법이 차별적으로 개발되어야 함을 시사하고 있다.

Variation of Univariate Flow Karyotypes and Chromosomal DNA Contents in Maize (Zea mays L.)

  • Analyses of now karyotypes using different maize (Zea mays L.) inbred lines have been performed. The accumulation and isolation of high quality and quantity metaphase chromosomes from root tips can be achieved from many kinds of maize lines. The chromosome suspensions were prepared by a simple slicing method from synchronized maize root tips and analyzed with a now cytometry. The variations of experimental now karyotypes were detected among inbred lines in terms of the positions and/or the numbers of chromosome peaks. The 2C DNA amount among 8 inbred lines ranged from 5.09 to 5.52 pg. The variability of DNA content in maize chromosome 1 was 9.1 % ranging from 0.685 to 0.747 pg. The selection of appropriate maize lines is critical for sorting specific single chromosome types. At least five different chromosome types can be discriminated and sorted from five maize lines.

  • Due to the price and performanceof uniprocessor workstations and off-the shelf networking, network of workstations(NOW) ae now a cost-effective parallel processing platform tht is competitive with supercomputers. Meanwhile, current network fiile system protocols rely heavily on a central server to coordinate file activity among client workstations. This central server can become a bottleneck that limits scalibility for environments with large numbers of clients. In this paper, we propsoe a highly reliable and effective software RAID file system on the network of workstation environment. We present results form a trace-driven simulation study that shows that the designed software RAID file system is more effective in the aspect of elapsed time when compared with client/server file systems.

인터넷 경매 판매자의 판매전략이 경매 성과에 미치는 영향 : 시작가와 즉시구매옵션을 중심으로 (Sellers' Strategies in Online Auctions : Effect of Starting Bids and Buy-It-Now Options on Auction Outcomes)

  • This study analyzes revenue-maximizing strategies of online auction sellers in terms of setting up starting bids and buy-it-now options. To this end, a series of field experiments is conducted where women's hair accessories of unique designs are listed in an established online auction site. The results of the experiments argue that high starting bids could increase sellers' revenue while buy-it-now options have no significant effects. Our findings suggest that online auction sellers listing items with uncertain demand - mainly individual sellers - should be cautious with auction tips which generally support low starting buds.

Streamer Motives and User-Generated Content on Social Live-Streaming Services

  • Three most popular information services, Periscope, Ustream, and YouNow, vicarious for all Social Live-Streaming Services (SLSSs), are investigated to analyze their streamers' motivations and the user-generated content. Additionally, we collected demographic data (gender and age). More than 7,500 streams by users from the U.S., Germany, and Japan were observed. Main streamer motivations on SLSSs are boredom, socializing, the need to reach a specific group, the need to communicate, and fun. Important content categories on all three SLSSs are chatting, sharing information, 24/7, and 'slice of life.' We were able to identify differences between users from the U.S., Germany, and Japan as well as between the users of Periscope, Ustream, and YouNow. The main motive to stream in the U.S. is to reach a specific group, while in Japan it is socializing, and in Germany boredom. The top content category for both, YouNow as well as Periscope, is to chat; on Ustream it is 24/7 (i.e., webcams).

  • 최근에 와서 시각전달방법 및 표현매체로서의 컴퓨터 그래픽스 활용 및 의존도는 지대해 지고 있다. 이것은 미국, 일본 등 선진외국 뿐만 아니라, 우리 나라에서도 역시 디자인에 대한 컴퓨터그래픽스 활용의 중요성의 점점 더 부각되고 있다. 컴퓨터그래픽스 디자인은 이제 생활의 일부분이 되고 있으며, 하나의 문화로 정착되어 시각문화 재창출의 중요한 자리를 차지하고 있다. 디자인이 경쟁력을 지니기 위해서는 차별화 계획이 필요하며, 대중의 욕구와 이에 필요한 대중 지향적 디자인의 필요성이 요구되는 것이다. 수년 전 만해도 수 작업에만 의존했던 디자인 방법이 컴퓨터의 출현과 함께 활용 및 기법에 있어, 새로운 기원을 이룩하고 있는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 표현 방법의 도구로서 컴퓨터를 활용했을 때 작업에서 얻어지는 원고의 활용 성을 부문별로 분석해보고, 앞으로 일반화될 컴퓨터 그래픽스의 활용방안을 생각해 보고자 한다.

NOW 환경에서 개선된 고정 분할 단위 알고리즘 (Refined fixed granularity algorithm on Networks of Workstations)

  • At NOW (Networks Of Workstations), the load sharing is very important role for improving the performance. The known load sharing strategy is fixed-granularity, variable-granularity and adaptive-granularity. The variable-granularity algorithm is sensitive to the various parameters. But Send algorithm, which implements the fixed-granularity strategy, is robust to task granularity. And the performance difference between Send and variable-granularity algorithm is not substantial. But, in Send algorithm, the computing time and the communication time are not overlapped. Therefore, long latency time at the network has influence on the execution time of the parallel program. In this paper, we propose the preSend algorithm. In the preSend algorithm, the master node can send the data to the slave nodes in advance without the waiting for partial results from the slaves. As the master node sent the next data to the slaves in advance, the slave nodes can process the data without the idle time. As stated above, the preSend algorithm can overlap the computing time and the communication time. Therefore we reduce the influence of the long latency time at the network and the execution time of the parallel program on the NOW. To compare the execution time of two algorithms, we use the $320{\times}320$ matrix multiplication. The comparison results of execution times show that the preSend algorithm has the shorter execution time than the Send algorithm.
