A NEW NON-MEASURABLE SET AS A VECTOR SPACE

  • We use Cauchy's functional equation to construct a new non-measurable set which is a (vector) subspace of \mathbb{R}$ and is of a codimensiion 1, considering \mathbb{R}$, the set of real numbers, as a vector space over a field \mathbb{Q}$ of rational numbers. Moreover, we show that \mathbb{R}$ can be partitioned into a countable family of disjoint non-measurable subsets.

  • In this paper, we present some general results on the pointwise convergence of the non-convolution type nonlinear singular integral operators in the following form: $$T_{\lambda}(f;x)={\large\int_{\Omega}}K_{\lambda}(t,x,f(t))dt,\;x{\in}{\Psi},\;{\lambda}{\in}{\Lambda}$$, where ${\Psi}$ = and ${\Omega}$ = stand for arbitrary closed, semi-closed or open bounded intervals in ${\mathbb{R}}$ or these set notations denote $\mathbb{R}$, and ${\Lambda}$ is a set of non-negative numbers, to the function $f{\in}L_{p,{\omega}}({\Omega})$, where $L_{p,{\omega}}({\Omega})$ denotes the space of all measurable functions f for which $\|{\frac{f}{\omega}}\|^p$ (1 ${\leq}$ p < ${\infty}$) is integrable on ${\Omega}$, and ${\omega}:{\mathbb{R}}{\rightarrow}\mathbb{R}^+$ is a weight function satisfying some conditions.

ON DISCONTINUOUS ELLIPTIC PROBLEMS INVOLVING THE FRACTIONAL p-LAPLACIAN IN ℝN

  • We are concerned with the following fractional p-Laplacian inclusion: $$(-{\Delta})^s_pu+V(x){\mid}u{\mid}^{p-2}u{\in}{\lambda}[{\underline{f}}(x,u(x)),\;{\bar{f}}(s,u(x))]$$ in ${\mathbb{R}}^N$, where $(-{\Delta})^s_p$ is the fractional p-Laplacian operator, 0 < s < 1 < p < $+{\infty}$, sp < N, and $f:{\mathbb{R}}^N{\times}{\mathbb{R}}{\rightarrow}{\mathbb{R}}$ is measurable with respect to each variable separately. We show that our problem with the discontinuous nonlinearity f admits at least one or two nontrivial weak solutions. In order to do this, the main tool is the Berkovits-Tienari degree theory for weakly upper semicontinuous set-valued operators. In addition, our main assertions continue to hold when $(-{\Delta})^s_pu$ is replaced by any non-local integro-differential operator.

SOME WEIGHTED APPROXIMATION PROPERTIES OF NONLINEAR DOUBLE INTEGRAL OPERATORS

  • In this paper, we present some recent results on weighted pointwise convergence and the rate of pointwise convergence for the family of nonlinear double singular integral operators in the following form: $$T_{\eta}(f;x,y)={\int}{\int\limits_{{\mathbb{R}^2}}}K_{\eta}(t-x,\;s-y,\;f(t,s))dsdt,\;(x,y){\in}{\mathbb{R}^2},\;{\eta}{\in}{\Lambda}$$, where the function $f:{\mathbb{R}}^2{\rightarrow}{\mathbb{R}}$ is Lebesgue measurable on ${\mathbb{R}}^2$ and ${\Lambda}$ is a non-empty set of indices. Further, we provide an example to support these theoretical results.

Transitional Dark Energy - A solution to the H0 tension

  • In this talk, I will explain the implications of a rapid appearance of dark energy between the redshifts ($z$) of one and two on the expansion rate and growth of perturbations. Using both Gaussian process regression and a parametric model, I show that this is the preferred solution to the current set of low-redshift ($z<3$) distance measurements if $H_0=73~\rm km\,s^{-1}\,Mpc^{-1}$ to within 1\% and the high-redshift expansion history is unchanged from the $\Lambda$CDM inference by the Planck satellite. Dark energy was effectively non-existent around $z=2$, but its density is close to the $\Lambda$CDM model value today, with an equation of state greater than $-1$ at $z<0.5$. If sources of clustering other than matter are negligible, we show that this expansion history leads to slower growth of perturbations at $z<1$, compared to $\Lambda$CDM, that is measurable by upcoming surveys and can alleviate the $\sigma_8$ tension between the Planck CMB temperature and low-redshift probes of the large-scale structure.

Quality indicators for cervical cancer care in Japan

  • Objective: We aimed to propose a set of quality indicators (QIs) based on the clinical guidelines for cervical cancer treatment published by The Japan Society of Gynecologic Oncology, and to assess adherence to standard-of-care as an index of the quality of care for cervical cancer in Japan. Methods: A panel of clinical experts devised the QIs using a modified Delphi method. Adherence to each QI was evaluated using data from a hospital-based cancer registry of patients diagnosed in 2013, and linked with insurance claims data, between October 1, 2012, and December 31, 2014. All patients who received first-line treatment at the participating facility were included. The QI scores were communicated to participating hospitals, and additional data about the reasons for non-adherence were collected. Results: In total, 297 hospitals participated, and the care provided to 15,163 cervical cancer patients was examined using 10 measurable QIs. The adherence rate ranged from 50.0% for 'cystoscope or proctoscope for stage IVA' to 98.8% for 'chemotherapy using platinum for stage IVB'. Despite the variation in care, hospitals reported clinically valid reasons for more than half of the non-adherent cases. Clinically valid reasons accounted for 75%, 90.9%, 73.4%, 44.5%, and 88.1% of presented non-adherent cases respectively. Conclusion: Our study revealed variations in pattern of care as well as an adherence to standards-of-care across Japan. Further assessment of the causes of variation and non-adherence can help identify areas where improvements are needed in patient care.

기업의 SNS 마케팅 활동이 이용자 행동에 미치는 영향: 페이스북 팬페이지 애널리틱스를 중심으로 (The Effect of Corporate SNS Marketing on User Behavior: Focusing on Facebook Fan Page Analytics)

  • 소셜네트워크서비스(SNS)의 성장과 함께 다양한 형태의 SNS가 등장했다. 상호작용성, 정보 교류, 엔터테인먼트 등 다양한 이용 동기를 바탕으로 SNS 이용자 또한 빠르게 증가하는 추세이다. 그중 페이스북은 대표하는 SNS 채널로서 기업에서도 페이스북 페이지를 활용해 홍보 채널로 활용하기 시작했다. 이를 위해 운영 초기, 기업은 팬 수 확보에 나섰고 그 결과 최근 기업 페이스북 팬 수는 많게는 수백만에 이를 정도로 늘어났다. 기업의 목표는 팬 수 확보를 넘어 콘텐츠를 통해 고객에게 기업 브랜드 이미지를 재고하고, 나아가 소통하는 수단으로 활용하고 있다. 이를 평가하는 주요 수치가 바로 본 연구의 종속변수에 해당하는 페이스북의 '좋아요', '댓글', '공유', '클릭 수' 등이다. 해당 수치 달성을 위해 콘텐츠 제작에 대한 고민이 선행되어야 하는데, 본 연구에서는 콘텐츠 제작 고려 사항을 3가지로 나눠 독립변수를 구성하였다. 콘텐츠 소재, 콘텐츠 구조, 메시지 스타일 등이 페이스북의 이용자 행동에 미치는 영향을 회귀분석을 이용해 분석하였다. 종속변수의 경우, 콘텐츠상에 모든 이용자의 행동 '전체 클릭 수'로 설정하였다. 본 연구에서는 각 독립 변수를 기존 연구 문헌을 통해 정의하고, 종속변수에 미치는 영향을 분석하였는데, '전체 클릭 수'의 경우, '자사연관', '실생활 관여도', '격식 x 관여도' 등의 변수가 유의미한 영향을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 통해, 콘텐츠 목적에 따른 최적화된 콘텐츠 전략을 제시함으로써, 기업 페이스북 운영자와 콘텐츠 제작자의 운영, 제작 전략에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.
