This study is a study on the effect of patent management on the performance of new business development, focusing on fusion expert collaboration. In the past, most studies on patent management have been influenced by the quantitative patent index on the business performance. Therefore, research on the effect of patent management on the performance of new business development through the cooperation of fusion experts was very insufficient. Therefore, this study examined the influence of existing patent management on the performance of new business development and the causal relationship between the influence of patent management on new business development performance, focusing on fusion expert collaboration. The results of the hypothesis empirical analysis are as follows. First, patent management showed positive (+) influence on convergence expert cooperation. Patents management has a positive effect on fostering convergence specialists and utilizing convergence experts. Second, patent management has a positive effect on new business development performance. Patent management has a positive effect on the success of the business, the achievement of target sales, the development of new markets, the development of new technologies, and the degree of reflection of customer requirements. Third, patent management mediated by convergence expert cooperation has a negative effect on financial aptitude among new business development outcomes. The results of this study are as follows. First, it is concluded that patent management through mediation of convergence expert cooperation has a positive effect on non - financial performance of new business development performance. Financial performance includes business success and achievement of target sales. Non-financial performance includes new technology development and new market development. Therefore, in order to continuously generate business performance of domestic convergence new business development companies, it suggests that we should make efforts to be linked with new business development performance through revitalization of patent management centered on convergence expert cooperation that has positive (+) influence.

Increasing unemployment rate and creation of new jobs are most important issues around the world recently. Then many developed countries, including Republic of Korea, establish and enforce a variety of start-up activation policies to increase employment rate and boom up the national economy. Establishing linkage of entrepreneurship motivation, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial intention and firm performance, focusing on potential entrepreneurs and entrepreneur, it could provide personalized and targeted entrepreneurial policy programs to increase entrepreneurship, because entrepreneurship is the most important factor to activate startups. On this study, it established factors of entrepreneurial motivation on potential entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs, and analyzed the linkage of factors of entrepreneurial motivation, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial intention(potential entrepreneurs) and firm performance(entrepreneurs). For analysis, this study conducted descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, factor analysis to verify validity, correlation analysis, and regression to analyze influence between factors. Potential entrepreneurs group has 202 samples, and findings show self-efficacy, social network, economic status and government policy influence on entrepreneurship positively. And self-efficacy, startup education, economic status and government policy have a positive effect on entrepreneurial intention, too. Entrepreneurs group has 212 samples, and findings show self-efficacy, social network and economic status influence on entrepreneurship. And each linkage has a positive effect, that self-efficacy - financial and non-financial performance, startup education - financial and technological performance, social network - financial performance, economic status - financial and non-financial performance, and government policy - financial and technological performance.
We analyze the effects and related factors of Smart Factory adoption. 110 and 325 samples were collected by median-size-industry matching method, respectively, of adopting and non-adopting companies. We use financial statement data (ROA, etc.) from the year before adoption to the fourth year after adoption. Abnormal operating performance and annual abnormal changes are obtained according to event study method, and analyzed by Wilcoxon signed-rank test and t-test. ROA and sales growth rate demonstrate short-term effects after adoption, but not long-term effects. As a result of regression analysis to examine if the three factors of labor intensity, R&D intensity, and prior financial performance have moderating effect, the moderating effect of R&D intensity and prior financial performance is confirmed. In addition, we perform regression analysis to confirm performance effects of early and late adoptions and whether prior financial performance and organization size have moderating effect. It is confirmed that the later the time of adoption, the greater the effect of adoption in the long term and the moderating effect of prior financial performance and organization size is confirmed.

This study investigates how entrepreneurial competencies affect firm outcomes for necessity entrepreneurship in Korea. Based on a survey collected from 162 necessity entrepreneurs, this study conducted multiple regression analysis. The statistical results show that founder entrepreneurial competencies, such as risk-taking, tend to be associated with positive outcomes financially as well as non-financially, which suggests that the existing propositions of previous research on the relationship between risk-taking and firm performance can be applied to necessity entrepreneurship as well. Additionally, founder opportunity competencies and resilience increase the likelihood of better financial performance in necessity entrepreneurship compared to others, whereas their effect on non-financial performance is not statistically significant. This indicates that necessity entrepreneurs are likely to focus more on financial performance to survive than on non-financial performance, particularly concerning variables related to sustainability such as the environment and society. The findings of this study contribute to knowledge concerning the role of necessity entrepreneurs' competencies in the performance of their companies.

This paper attempts to measure the impact of non-financial factors including analyst practices and broker resources on performance of sell side research. Results reveal that these non-financial factors have a measurable impact on performance of target price forecasts. Number of pages written by an analyst (surrogate for analyst practice) is significantly and directly linked with target price accuracy indicating a more elaborate analyst produces better target price forecasts. Analyst compensation (surrogate for broker resource) is significantly and inversely linked with target price accuracy. Out performance by analysts working with lower paying firms is possibly associated with motivation to migrate to higher paying broking firms. The study finds that employing more number of analysts per research report has no significant impact on target price accuracy -negative coefficient indicates that team work may not result in better target price forecasts. Though insignificant, long term forecast horizon negatively affects target price accuracy while stock volatility improves target price accuracy.

During the process of preparing for and initiating a startup, startup entrepreneurs allocate a significant amount of time to developing a business plan. Within this process, the documented business plan serves not only as a roadmap for the venture but also as a communication tool for capital acquisition and internal team collaboration. However, is the business plan, meticulously crafted by entrepreneurs, actually effective in generating startup performance? To answer this question, this study empirically analyzed the impact of a business plan on startup performance. Additionally, it examined how the relationship between the business plan and performance changes based on the satisfaction levels of entrepreneurs regarding the business plan. Through the analysis, the study validated the influence of the completeness of the business plan and entrepreneurial satisfaction on startup performance, and derived implications. To conduct the empirical analysis, a survey was conducted among 150 entrepreneurs. Regression analysis was performed to examine the relationship between the completeness of the business plan and performance, and the sample was further divided into two groups: startups with less than three years of operation and startups with three or more years of operation, for secondary analysis. The analysis results revealed that the completeness of the startup's business plan has a positive impact on both financial and non-financial performance. Furthermore, it is observed that the entrepreneur's satisfaction with the business plan had a moderating effect on the relationship between the business plan and financial performance. Moreover, for startups that are less than three years old, the entrepreneur's satisfaction with the business plan exhibits a moderating effect on the relationship between the completeness of the business plan and non-financial performance. This study holds significance as it reaffirms the importance of business plan development as a means to achieve sustainable growth for early-stage startups and empirically validates its significance. It is expected that this study will provide valuable insights for future startup entrepreneurs to better understand the importance of business planning and contribute to reducing the failure rate of early-stage startups.

This paper aims to study the influence of environmental attitudes on the choice of non-professional investors. It highlights the role of environmental performance assurance on investment judgments. This choice is due to the motivation and importance that investors place on the disclosure of environmental information. The main purpose of the research is focused on the empirical approach justified by the use of a questionnaire addressed to 200 non-professional investors. The results show that attitudes towards the environment do not correlate with the importance that gives this category of investors to the environmental information.. Subsequently, the results prove that the disclosure of an environmental assurance report has a positive impact on investment judgments independently of their appreciation of the environmental information concerning that of financial order.

Competition among enterprises has been more intensified as one among supply chains in the rapidly changing environment. This study investigated the influence of the supply chain integration factors, such as integration of functions inside an enterprise, integration of suppliers, and integration of customers, on the internal and external visibility, and non-financial and financial performances of enterprises. To test these relationships, the survey was conducted on suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors in Korea which have been implementing SCM. Eighty-one questionnaires were collected and used for this study. The study results using the covariance structure analysis are showed as follows. First, the integration of suppliers had a significant influence on both the internal and the external visibility of enterprises, while the integration of functions inside an enterprise had a significant impact on only the internal visibility of enterprises, and the integration of customers on only the external visibility. Second, the internal and external visibility of enterprises had significant impacts on non-financial performance of enterprises. However, the internal and external visibility of enterprises didn't give any direct or indirect influence on the financial performance of enterprises. Third, the non-financial performance of enterprises had a significant impact on financial performance of enterprises.
This study analyzes business performance factors for young startup, one of the solutions to the youth unemployment problem, and explored the effects of individual characteristics, capability, and environmental factors of young entrepreneurs on business performance. The study targets young traders operating in traditional markets and shopping streets nationwide. The 159 sample data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and Smart PLS 2.0 for frequency analysis, reliability and validity analysis. The Entrepreneur's individual characteristics such as challenge spirit, start-up capability, and market characteristics affect absorptive capacity and interorganizational network. And absorptive capacity and interorganizational network affect financial and non-financial business performance. As a result, it was found that young traders need to reinforce their individual characteristics, start-up capability, and interorganizational networks in order to improve business performance. This study is intended to provide theoretical and practical implications.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship of market orientation, and business performance in the security firms. To achieve the goal of the study, it has used various methods to study. First of all, it has carried out documentary surveys through literatures review on market orientation and business performance of the security firms, and practical researches side by side. In the documentary surveys, it has developed the framework of study and questionnaires based on the domestic and foreign books, theses, materials of public institutions, and other materials. In the practical researches, basing on the selected study models and hypotheses, it has selected 15 security companies which are located in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Chungcheong Provinces with the stratified cluster random sampling method. It has polled the employees of the security companies for about 2 months from 5 August to 10 October 2006, distributing 20$\sim$50 pieces per company. It has distributed 600 pieces and used 565 pieces for analysis excepting unfaithful 35 pieces. The collected questionnaires were analyzed by SPSSWIN 14.0 program. and The methods to analyze the materials were factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and path analysis through regression analysis. The results obtained from the study using analysis methods above are as follows. Finally, market orientation influences on business performance. In other words, the higher market orientation is, the better financial and non financial outcomes are.
