Feeding Value of Ammoniated Rice Straw Supplemented with Rice Bran in Sheep : I. Effects on Digestibility, Nitrogen Retention and Microbial Protein Yield

  • In vivo digestibility, nitrogen retention and microbial protein yield from diets of 100% ammonia treated rice straw (ARS) ($D_1$); 65% untreated rice straw (URS)+30% rice bran (RB)+5% SBM ($D_2$) and 85% ARS+15% RB ($D_3$) were determined using three Japanese Corriedale wethers in a $3{\times}3$ Latin Square Design. Results showed that DM consumption and organic matter digestibility were highest in $D_3$; but did not promote high protein digestibility, which RB+SBM had effected in URS based-diet. Dry matter intake and OM digestibility were the same for $D_1$ and $D_3$. Solubility of fiber bonds was increased by ammoniation, resulting in higher NDF digestibility. Nitrogen retention and microbial protein yield of rice bran supplemented groups was higher than ARS, but supplementation did not significantly increase efficiency of microbial protein synthesis from ARS which did occur when RB+SBM was added to untreated straw. The quality of ammoniated rice straw could be improved through RB supplementation because of its positive effects on DM digestibility, nitrogen retention and microbial protein yield. However, the addition of RB+SBM to URS resulted to more efficient N utilization.

재식밀도와 질소시용이 오차드그라스 ( Dactylis glomerata L. ) 품종들의 분벽 소장과 수량에 미치는 영향 ( The Effect of Plant Density and Nitrogen Application on the Tillerring and the yield in cultivars of Orchargrass ( Dactylis glomerata L. ) )

  • Tillering of orchardgrass during establishment year was considered as an important factor for ground cover and forage yield. Field experiment was conducted to examine seasonal fluctuation of tiller number in three cultivars of orchardgrass; Potomac, Hall-mark, and Sumas, after transplanting with five planting density. Also, effects of plant density and nitrogen application in cultivar, Potomac were studied on tillering, forage yield and various growth characteristics in pot experiment Tillers per plant decreased with increased density and showed seasonal variations. It increased up to July, decreased during summer months, and increased again from October. Sumas had less tillers than other cultivars, especially at high density. Tillers per unit area kept high during spring. After then, there was stady decrease through summer and remained constant without affecting by planting density. Nitrogen application increased tillers per unit area in Potomac up to 20kg/10a, but decreased its tiller production at 40kg/lOa. Maximum number of tiller was obtained in the combinations of 20kg application of nitrogen with higher density than 324 plant per square meter. Forage yield increased as nitrogen application increased, while it did not respond to plant density. Forage yield had high linear correlation between LAI, leaf number with a peak at 2800 culrns. For high forage yielding, it was suggested to obtain optimum number of tillers per unit area in early season as possible, applying of adequate amount of nitrogen with relative high density depend on cultural condition.

  • In order to fad out an efficient way of topdressing nitrogen fertilizer in mulch-cropping system of onion(Allium cepa L.), solid, slow-release, and liquid forms of nitrogen fertilizers were allied to cv. 'Changnyungdaego' various number of times at different time, with 5 topdress applications of solid fertilizer serving as a control. Whole basal application of conventional solid fertilizer and 2 slow-release fertilizers were labor-saving and showed improved storage quality of bulbs, but resulted in poor plant growth and considerably low yield due to fertilizer shortage from early April. This suggests that topdress application is necessary. Liquid form of nitrogen fertilizer was more effective for plant growth and yield and saving labor than the solid form. Early applications was effective for increasing yield and storage quality of onion bulbs harvested. Thus two applications of liquid form of nitrogen fertilizer in February and March at rome month interval are recommended in mulch crowing system of onion.

예취횟수 및 질소시비수준이 Reed Canarygrass의 생육특성, 건물수량 및 사료가치에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Cutting Frequency and Level of Nitrogen Fertilization on Growth Characteristics, Dry Matter Yield and Nutritive Value of Reed Canarygrass)

  • This experiment was carried out to determine the effect of cutting frequency(3rd and 5th cut) and level of nitrogen fertilization(l50 + liquid manure, 300 and 450kgha) on growth characteristics, dry matter yield and nutritive vaule of reed canarygrass(Pha1aris arundinacea L.), at the forage experimental field, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, SNU, Suweon. Plant height of 3rd cutting(79.2cm) was significantly higher than that of 5th cutting(58.0cm). And dry mattter yield of cutting frequency was observed in 3rd cutting(16,902kgPna) and 5th cutting(l7,833kg/ha) As the nitrogen fertilization was increased, DM yield was significantly increased(p<0.05). When the nitrogen fertilization was applied at the level 150 + liquid manure, 300 and 450kg, dry matter yields were 16,5 12, 17,123 and 18,368kg/ha, respectively. The contents of neutral detergent fiber(NDF), acid detergent fiber(ADF) and in vitro dry matter digestibility(1VDMD) were similar among cutting frequency. However, slightly higher NDF, ADF and IVDMD contents were found in 5th cutting, but there was not affected by nitrigen fertilization. Based on the results of this experiment, it were indicated that to 5th cutting and 450kg nitrogen fertilization could be obtained from the increase of dry matter yield and nutritive value (Key words : Cutting frequency, Nitrogen fertilization, Dry matter yield, Nutritive Value, Reed canarygrass)

석회 시용이 Burley종 담배의 수량과 화학성분에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Lime application on Yield and Chemical composition of Burley tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) in pot experiment.)

  • Pot experiment was conducted to find out the effect of lime application on yield and chemical composition of burley tobacco in 1986, Lime increased exchangeable calcium and pH of soil, but decreased Al, Fe and Mn concentrations. Yield was increased by lime application, however lime could not be caused to yield increasing in the soil with high calcium contents. Cored leaves of limed Plot contained higher Mg. K, total nitrogen, NO3-nitrogen, water soluble and insoluble ash, alkalinity number of water soluble and insoluble ash, citric and malic acid, but lower Fe, Mn, protein-nitrogen, NH3-nitrogen, nicotine petroleum ether extract, palmitic and linolenic acid concentrations than those of unlined plot. The linoleic acid and volatile neutral constituents of cured leaves were not affected by liming. Lime increased yield, however it did not affect leaf duality in respect to chemical characteristics, suggesting that liming should be necessary for tobacco cultivation.

퇴비(堆肥)의 전질소(全窒素)와 암모니아 함량(含量)이 양송이 수량(收量)에 미치는 영향(影響) (The Effects of Total Nitrogen and Residual Ammonia Contents of Compost on the Yield of Cultivated Mushroom, Agaricus Bisporus)

  • 양송이 수량을 지배하는 여러인자중에서 퇴비의 전질소 함량과 암모니아 잔류량이 양송이 수량에 미치는 영향을 구명하고자 본시험을 실시한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 퇴비의 전질소 함량과 양송이 수량간에는 y=1395+0.048x$(r=0.68^{**})$의 관계가 있었으며 전질소 함량이 높을수록 암모니아 잔류량도 증가하는 경향이었다. 2. 유기태급원은 무처리나 무기태급원에 비해 퇴비의 전질소가 증가되었으며 수량도 높았다. 3. 퇴비의 암모니아 잔류량과 양송이 수량간에는 $y=0.38086-0.011948x+0.00012x^2(r=-0.75^{**})$의 관계가 있었으며 안전다수확을 위해서는 0.03%(질소함량으로서)를 넘지 않아야 했다. 4. 유안의 사용은 암모니아 잔류량이 높았으며 양송이 수량이 낮은 반면 요소는 그 잔류량이 낮고 수량이 유안에 비해 현저히 높았다.

Effect of Nitrogen Application Levels on Nitrate Concentration in Soil Solution under Plastic Film House

  • This study was conducted to investigate investigated the effect of nitrogen fertilizer on nitrate concentration in soil solution and to determine the relationship between yield and nitrate concentration in soil solution for cucumber cultivation under plastic film house. Nitrogen as urea was applied at rates of 0, 120, 240, 360, and $480kg\;N\;ha^{-1}$ as an additional fertilizer by trickle irrigation during cucumber cultivation. Monitoring of nitrate concentration in soil solution was investigated using porous cups at 25 cm depth under soil surface. Nitrate concentration in soil solution increased with increasing the rate of additional nitrogen. Correlation coefficient between EC value and nitrate concentration was positive in soil and soil solution (p<0.05). An additional nitrogen of about $300kg\;ha^{-1}$ was shown the highest yield of cucumber, and improved yield by 5% compared to N recommendation of $240kg\;N\;ha^{-1}$. The highest yield was determined at nitrate concentration of $82mg\;L^{-1}$ in soil solution by regression equation ($Y=74.2+0.73X+0.000504X^2$, $R^2=0.629^*$). These results means indicate that nitrate concentration in soil solution would be useful method to rapid determination for additional nitrogen during cucumber cultivation under plastic film house.

율무에 대한 질소시비가 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Nitrogen Fertilization on Growth Characteristics and Grain Yield of Job's Tears)

  • 본 실험은 질소 시비 수준 0, 80, 160, $240kg\;ha^{-1}$에 따른 율무 1호 품종의 생육 특성, 조곡 수량, 질소축적 및 수확 후 토양의 화학성분 변화를 조사하였다. 질소시비 수준이 증가될수록 출수, 개화기는 단축되었으나 개화기부터 수확기까지 소요되는 기간은 증가되어 파종에서 수확기까지 소요되는 기간은 0-5 일 증가되었다. 질소시비 수준이 증가할수록 간장, 주분얼경의 수, 착립부위고는 유의한 증가를 보였다 (P<0.05). 주간절수, 주간직경, 착립부위장은 유의한 차이가 없었다. 주간의 소수지경수, 주간의 착립절간은 유의한 증가가 있었으나 $80kg\;ha^{-1}$ 이상에서는 큰 차이가 없었다 (P<0.05) 조명나방 피해는 질소 $240kg\;ha^{-1}$ 처리구에서 30%로 높아 수량감소의 요인으로 작용하였다. 수량구성요소는 질소시비량과 비례하여 양호해지는 경향이었으나 주당립수는 질소시비량 $160kg\;ha^{-1}$ 구에서 가장 많아 조곡 수량이 $3,410kg\;ha^{-1}$로 최고 질소 시비수준인 $240kg\;ha^{-1}$구에 비해 $140kg\;ha^{-1}$ 많았다. 질소사용효율은 질소시비량이 증가할수록 감소하였다. 실험후 토양중 총 질소함량은 실험전에 비해 질소 0, $80kg\;ha^{-1}$ 구에서는 낮았으며 질소 160, $240kg\;ha^{-1}$ 구에서는 높았다.

  • 삼요소시험(三要素試驗)(1967~69)을 중심(中心)으로 정조수량등급별(正租收量等級別)로 N, P, K, Si의 흡수량(吸收量)과 이들의 정조생산효율(正租生産効率) 및 전이율(轉移率)을 본결과 다음과 같다. 1) 수량증가(收量增加)에 따른 각양분(各養分)의 요구도(要求度)는 유사(類似)한 비율(比率)로 증가(增加)하였으나 규산(珪酸)이 가장 변화(變化)가 컸다. 2) 질소효율(窒素効率)이 낮은(46kg/Nkg) 삼요소(三要素)시험에서는 수량(收量)이 증가(增加)할수록 효율(効率)과 전이율(轉移率)이 증가(增加)하는 경향(傾向)이다. 3) 질소흡수량(窒素吸收量)이 증가(增加)할수록 질소(窒素)의 정조생산효율(正租生産効率)이 감소(減少)하였으며 이감소정도는 비종(肥種) 및 품종(品種)에 따라 크게 다르다. 질소효율(窒素効率)은 식질(埴質)에서보다 수량(收量)이 높은 사양토(砂壤土)에서 높았다. 4) 질소(窒素)의 정조생산효율(正租生産効率)은 질소(窒素)의 인으로의 전이율(轉移率)과 정상관관계(正相關關系)였다. 5) 다수확(多收穫)은 질소효율(窒素効率)이 50정도에서 머문채 질소흡수량(窒素吸收量)만을 증가(增加)시켜 이루어지고 있다. 6) 질소효율(窒素効率)의 저하(低下)가 저수(低收)의 큰요인(要因)으로 보였다. 7) 삼요소시험(三要素試驗)에서 인산(燐酸)의 정조생산(正租生産) 효율(効率)이 상당히 낮은 편인데 인산(燐酸)의 토양환원(土壤還元)에 의(依)한 과다흡수(過多吸收)에 기인(基因)하는 것 같다.

질소시비가 감국의 생육 및 유효성분에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Nitrogen Application on Growth and Bioactive Compounds of Chrysanthemum indicum L. (Gamgug))

  • To fulfill the increasing demand for a high quality of flower, we investigated the effects of nitrogen application on plant growth, yield and bioactive compounds of Chrysanthemum indicum L.. C. indicum L. was cultivated in a pot scale, and nitrogen applied with the level of 0 (N0), 50 (N50), 100 (N100), 150 (N150), 200 (N200) and $300\;(N300)\;kg\;ha^{-1}$ to suggest optimum rate of nitrogen fertilization. Phosphate and potassium applied the same amount of $80-80\;kg\;ha^{-1}$ ($P_2O_5-K_2O$) in all treatments. Growth characteristics and yields of C. indicum L. were significantly affected by nitrogen application. Maximum yield achieved in 265 and $295\;kg\;ha^{-1}$ N treatment on the whole plant and the flower parts, respectively. The nitrogen content and uptake of whole plant significantly increased by the increase of nitrogen application. Five major components of essential oil, $\alpha$-pinene, 1,8-cineol, chrysanthenone, germacrene-D, and $\alpha$-curcumene in flowerheads of C. indicum L. occupied approximately 40% of peak area, germacrene-D decreased by the increase of nitrogen application among them. However, cumambrin A contents in the flower parts of C. indicum L. were affected negatively by the increase of nitrogen application, but total yields of cumambrin A in flower part significantly increased. Conclusively, nitrogen fertilization could increase the yield of flowerheads. The optimum application level of nitrogen fertilizer might be on the range of $265-295\;kg\;ha^{-1}$ in a mountainous soil.
