Nano particles have recently been a major research interest, motivated by their unusual physical and chemical properties. Such particles can be synthesized using physical and chemical methods. The physical methods need expensive installation like vacuum induction furnace, whereas in chemical methods the process in generally very simple and low cost. In this study, simple and new fabrication process by using ultrasound was investigated to prepare the nano-sized metal particles on various powders at room temperature.

Interlace texturing is very useful method to make compound yarns for new synthetic fabrics. In this study, we make the compound ems for peach skin fabric by interlace texturing method. This study surveys relationship between physical properties of interlace textured yarns and process conditions such as air pressure, yarn tension and take-up speed. Nip density, tensile properties and multi-step shrinkage of the various specimens were discussed with process conditions.

In order to find out the customer requirements and to develop new products more effectively, the Kano model and QFD(Quality Function Deployment), AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) developed and applied. But, Many companies difficult to select the CTQ(Critical to Quality) of new product. Especially the life cycle of Digital Camera is very short. In this thesis, the Kano model and AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) for finding the CTQ(Critical to Quality) for customer satisfaction are suggested. It is explained and discussed with the example of Digital Camera.

In computed tomography, the errors asociated with interpolation in the reconstruction process degrade the reconstructed image and may cause divergence unless a large number of rays is used. A new data acquisition scheme without interpolation is developed in this paper. Samples (projection data ) are taken in phase with samples of the Cartesian grid to eliminated errors associated with interpolation process.

A novel thin film processing technique has been developed for the fabrication of ultrathin films of conducting polymers with molecular-level control over thickness and multilayer architecture. This new self-assembly process opens up vast possibilities in applications which require large area, ultrathin films of conducting polymers and more importantly in applications that can take advantage of the unique interactions achievable in the complex, supermolecular architectures of multilayer films.

A new residual generation scheme that can be employed in the process fault detection and isolation systems for linear (control) systems is suggested. The scheme is very simple, but provides the same information for the detection and isolation of the anticipated faults as the conventional multiple observer based schemes. Application results show the practical feasibility of the proposed scheme.

The paper proposes a new method to process transmission losses in power market operation using loss distribution factors and then compares the proposed method with the one using marginal loss factors. Effectiveness of the algorism is verified by a computer simulation.

In this paper, we present a new mixed type iterative process for approximating the common fixed points of single-valued nonexpansive mapping and multi-valued nonexpansive mapping in a CAT(0) space. We demonstrate strong and weak convergence theorems for the new iterative process in CAT(0) spaces, as well as numerical results to support our theorem.
