Enabling Efficient Verification of Dynamic Data Possession and Batch Updating in Cloud Storage

  • Dynamic data possession verification is a common requirement in cloud storage systems. After the client outsources its data to the cloud, it needs to not only check the integrity of its data but also verify whether the update is executed correctly. Previous researches have proposed various schemes based on Merkle Hash Tree (MHT) and implemented some initial improvements to prevent the tree imbalance. This paper tries to take one step further: Is there still any problems remained for optimization? In this paper, we study how to raise the efficiency of data dynamics by improving the parts of query and rebalancing, using a new data structure called Rank-Based Merkle AVL Tree (RB-MAT). Furthermore, we fill the gap of verifying multiple update operations at the same time, which is the novel batch updating scheme. The experimental results show that our efficient scheme has better efficiency than those of existing methods.

  • The dynamic behavior of circulating current cycloconverter and flywheel energy storage unit is the subject of this investigation. The system of this type can control of real and reactive power flow between flywheel-cycloconverter and power three phase network. In this paper, waveform level simulation indicates that power flow control of is possible and this system can be used to varible application.

  • In Korean Power Market, Cost-based Bidding Pool is maintaining the present condition because restructuring of electricity industry is holding. When this market is designed, Settlement rules for Pumped-storage power plant made unfairly by other power plants. These rules were considered contribution of Pumped-storage power plant to network operation. by the way, there are some discussion about Settlement rules modification. so in this paper, we calculated financial effect of power plant by modified rules. And when we modify market rules, we can offer numerical information.

  • The electric power load during the peak time in summer is strongly affected by cooling load. which decreases the preparation ratio of electricity and brings about the failure in the supply of electricity in the electric power system. The ice-storage system and heat pump system etc are used to settle this problem. In this study, the method of estimating temperature and humidity to forecast the cooling load of ice-storage system is suggested. And also the method of forecasting the cooling load using neural network is suggested. For the simulation, the cooling load is calculated using actual temperature and humidity. The forecast of the temperature, humidity and cooling load are simulated. As a result of the simulation, the forecasted data approached to the actual data.

  • The files of intellectual property on computer systems have increasingly been exposed to such threats that they can be flowed out by internal users or outer attacks through the network. The File Outflow Protection System detects file outflow when users not only copy files on client computers into storage devices, but also print them. This Protection system has been designed to Win32 API hooking by I/O Manager in kernel level if files are flowed out by copying. As a result, the monitoring system has exactly detected file outflows, which is proved through testing.

  • In this paper, we propose a precise time management and time synchronization based on real-time data storage and transmission scheme in design of seismic data acquisition system for urban earthquake disaster preventing system (UEDPS). It is possible to improve the performance of the existing research results through the proposed methods. To evaluate the performances of the proposed methods, we implemented a prototype system(H/W & S/W) and performed some experiments with real seismic data and test equipment generated data as the input.

  • 본 논문은 인터넷 기반의 스트리밍 서비스를 위한 차세대 인터넷 서버의 핵심 구성요소인 NS(네트워크 스토리지 서브시스템)에 대하여, 분포-구동 방식의 소프트웨어 시뮬레이션 기반의 연구를 통하여 NGIS의 설계 목표를 충족시킬 수 있도록 1Gbps의 전송속도를 갖는 NS의 최적의 구조를 제안한다. 최근 선보이고 있는 스토리지 가상화 솔루션은 이전의 1세대 기술과는 달리 이기종 통합 등이 가능한 진보된 기능과 향상된 성능을 앞세우고 있으며, 가상화를 이룬다 하더라도 활용할 애플리케이션이 없었던 예전과는 달리 ILM, 스토리지 그리드 등의 새로운 연구가 진행 되고 있다. 이전의 스토리지 가상화는 단순히 기술 구현에 급급했다면, 최근 발표되고 있는 가상화 솔루션들은 실제 엔터프라이즈 환경에 적용할 수 있는 수준의 기술로 거듭나고 있다.

A Grid-based Efficient Routing Protocol for a Mobile Sink in Wireless Sensor Networks

  • In this paper, we propose a grid-based efficient routing protocol for a mobile sink in wireless sensor networks. In the proposed protocol, the network is partitioned into grids and each grid has a grid head. For the efficient routing to a mobile sink, the proposed protocol uses a mobile sink representative node to send the data to a mobile sink and grid heads are used as a mobile sink representative node. Furthermore, the proposed protocol uses nodes in the boundary of the center grid as position storage nodes. The position storage nodes store the position of a mobile sink representative node and provide source nodes with it for data delivery. With these features, the proposed protocol can reduce a lot of overhead to update the position information and improve the delay of data delivery to a mobile sink. The proposed protocol performs better than other protocols in terms of the delay and the energy consumption per node in the performance evaluation.

  • In this paper, parallel control method that enables coordinating operations of multiple mini ice storage air conditioner is proposed based on LonWorks system. The proposed parallel control method is a kind of master/slave control method based on LonTalk network communication. In the control method, master controller leading whole system operations is determined by date to avoid the disproportion of outdoor unit operations. In addition to the above, duty shift control method is proposed to avoid redundant operations of outdoor units and to equalize the operation frequencies of them. Through some simulation tests, the proposed parallel control method and the duty shift control method are evaluated and the efficiencies of them are validated by comparing with existing methods.

  • It is not easy to control the unstructured digital contents efficiently which are usually created while carrying out the wide scope of managerial activities. Moreover, besides the existing EDMS method, new methodologies including new-type servers and clients like SBC, VDI, thin client, zero client, etc are said to be more efficient for managing digital contents. Usually, digital contents has been created and stored in the dispersed individual computers like laptop or desktop. Today, due to the advent of new technologies and devices for computer systems and network capacity, it's possible to store whole digital contents within centralized storage like EDMS. In this paper, it is shown how digital contents can be controled through selection of which approaches are used for individual users and storage servers. For alternatives, we explained implementation, merits and demerits, selection criteria, etc. And a case of the implementation of digital contents control is shown for the reference of related systems.
