  • In this paper a new harmonic reduction method of three-phase diode rectifiers is proposed to improve input current performance using the zero-sequence harmonics injection technique. The proposed mothed, based on the third-harmonic injection, employs two half-bridge inverters and two single-phase transformers to independently shape the positive and negative dc rail currents of the diode rectifier. The actively shaped zero-sequence harmonic currents are t]ten circulated through the ac side of the rectifier using a zigzag transformer This results in pure sinusoidal input currents in the three-phase diode rectifier. Experimental results on a 1.5kVA prototype are provided to validate the proposed technique.

  • A yellow, rod-shaped, non-motile, gram-negative, and strictly aerobic bacterial strain, designated LPB0005T, was isolated from a marine gastropod, Reichia luteostoma. Here the genome sequence was determined, which comprised 3,395,737 bp with 2,962 protein-coding genes. The DNA G+C content was 36.3 mol%. The 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis indicated that the isolate represents a novel genus and species in the family Flavobacteriaceae, with relatively low sequence similarities to other closely related genera. The isolate showed chemotaxonomic properties within the range reported for the family Flavobacteriaceae, but possesses many physiological and biochemical characteristics that distinguished it from species in the closely related genera Ulvibacter, Jejudonia, and Aureitalea. Based on phylogenetic, phenotypic, and genomic analyses, strain LPB0005T represents a novel genus and species, for which the name Cochleicola gelatinilyticus gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is LPB0005T (= KACC 18693T = JCM 31218T).

  • Citrobacter freundii is a facultative anaerobic and a Gram-negative bacterium of Enterobacteriaceae family, and is an opportunistic pathogen. Bacteriophages infecting C. freundii can be an effective treatment for C. freundii infections. Here, the complete genomic sequence is announced for a lytic bacteriophage CF1 infecting C. freundii isolates.

  • Prevotella denticola is Gram-negative, obligately anaerobic, non-motile, non-spore forming, and rod-shaped bacterium. P. denticola is associated with periodontal disease and is a risk indicator of periodontal disease. P. denticola KCOM 1525 (= ChDC B698) was isolated from human periapical abscess. Herein, we present the complete genome sequence of P. denticola KCOM 1525.

  • Aeromonas spp., are Gram-negative rods that can cause infections in healthy and immunocompromised hosts. The clinical presentation of gastroenteritis varies from mild diarrhoea to shigella-like dysentery to severe cholera-like watery diarrhoea. Here, we report a case of acute hemorrhagic gastroenteritis in a newborn infant by Aeromonas caviae and its draft genome sequence. It is important to reduce the chance of incorrect isolate identification, which could lead to the exclusion of pathogenic Aeromonas spp., from routine laboratory identification in cases of diarrheal diseases. The genome sequence of A. caviae SVJ23 represents a significant step forward in understanding the diversity and pathogenesis, virulence, and antimicrobial resistance profile.

  • Power quality refers to voltage quality and current quality. Voltage quality means supply reliance such as voltage sag, voltage swell. and short-time interruption. Current quality is related to power factor, harmonic distortion, negative-sequence and zero-sequence current. We fabricated Customer STATCOM to improve current quality such as reactive power, harmonic distortion, and load imbalance. In this paper. We summarize the spec, of STATCOM. its hardware configuration, and control system.

  • Scott transformers have widely used to convert three phases into two phases and compensate the unbalance. Theoretically, the loads of the two secondary phases are same, no unbalance appears in the PCC(point of common coupling). But Due to the uncertainty of traction load, the unbalance are generally presented at the PCC. In this paper The amount of the voltage unbalance is expressed in the ratio of the negative sequence voltages to the positive sequence voltage. We tried to compensate the unbalance using SVC(Static Var Compensator)in an unbalance traction loads state by modeling. The SVC are installed and controlled to provide different amounts of reactive power compensation.

  • This paper presents a speed control method for the capacitor-run induction motor. The equivalent circuit of the motor is analyzed using the forward(Positive sequence) and backward(negative sequence) components, and simple circuit equations are obtained. Simulations for the speed control are performed by adjusting the voltage magnitude of the auxiliary winding. A prototype system has been implemented which consists of an inverter and a controller with TMS320C31 digital signal processor. The experimental results using 1/4hp capacitor-run induction motor show a good agreement with analyses.

  • As the various kinds of load who generate higher harmonics increases according as the power electronics technology develops, harmonic treatment standard is proposed by IEEE and IEC. Because establishment of harmonic reduction device is required for existent installment to satisfy harmonic treatment standard, the problem of investment charge and installation space increasing may be occurred. In order to solve these problems, a novel transformer connection method using principles of PCT and ZED is suggested.

  • A model of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) with an inter turn short fault is proposed using a deformed flux model. The deformed flux model includes not only the fault winding flux information but also the inductance variation of the healthy winding considering the configuration of the winding distribution. With the deformed flux model and the positive sequence current assumption, the proposed model is derived in the positive and negative sequence synchronous reference frame (SRF). The finite elements method (FEM) simulation is applied to validate the proposed PMSM model with inter turn short fault.
