The effects of clonidine on the negative chronotropic response induced by stimulation of vagus nerve were studied in the presence of propranolol in reserpinized and anesthetized rats. When the heart rate was decreased by stimulation of the vagus nerve, clonidine significantly inhibited vagally induced heart rate decrease (negative chronotropic response) in dose dependent manner. This inhibitory effect of clonidine was virtually abolished by phentolamine, ${\alpha}_1-\;and\;{\alpha}_2-adrenoceptor$ antagonist, and partially antagonized by prazosin, ${\alpha}_1-adrenoceptor$ antagonist. On the other hand, when the heart rate was decreased by the infusion of bethanechol, a muscarinic parasympathetic stimulant, clonidine had no effect on the bethanechol-induced heart rate decrease. These results suggest that clonidine inhibits vagally induced negative chronotropic response by activation of presynaptic ${\alpha}-adrenoceptors$ located on the parasympathetic cholinergic nerve terminal in the heart and this effect of clonidine is more related to ${\alpha}_2-adrenoceptors$ than ${\alpha}_1-adrenoceptors$.

In this paper, we introduce a new notions of conditionally weak dependence and we study their properties, preservation of the conditionally weak independent and positive and negative quadrant dependent(CWQD) property under mixtures, limits, closure under convex combinations, and their interrelationships. Furthermore, we extend multivariate stochastic dependence to stronger conditions of dependence.

It was observed that the time-dependent sheath which was formed around the planar target biased by negatively voltage pulse with a finite rise time in the plasma source ion implantation. F\Results show that the time-dependent sheath consisted of two parts: the ion matrix sheath development during the pulse rise time and the dynamic sheath motion after attaining the full pulse. The ion matrix sheath development which is in proportion to square root of the pulse time and the pulse rise rate over the plasma density but independent of the ion mass. The dynamic sheath propagates with approximately the ion sound speed.

The temperature dependent characteristics of hydrogenerated amorphous silcon thin film transistor (a-Si:H TFT) with a bottom gate of N-Type <100> Si wafer were investigated. Drain current on the hysteresis characteristic curve showed an exponential variation. Hysteresis area of TFT increased with the gate voltage increased and decreased with the small gate voltage. According to the variation of gate voltages, drain current of TFT increased by temperature increase, and hysteresis characteristics mainly depended on the temperature increase. The hysteresis current showed negative characteristics curve over 383K. The hysteresis occurance area and the differences of forward and reverse sweep were increased at the higher temperature. Hysteresis current of I$_{d}$(on/off) ratio decreased at the lower temperature and increased at the higher temperature.e.

Time dependent deflections of double composite box girders are investigated based on the on going laboratory experiments scheduled for 3months long. Two of 2-span double composite box girders with 2.5m each span length are cast and time dependent behaviors are measured using 30 strain gages and 2 LVDTs after 5 days' curing. The measured experimental results are compared with the numerical predictions performed based on the one dimensional finite element method adopting beam element. The FEM formulation adopts the time dependent concrete constitutive model which is derived in an incremental format by expanding the total form of stress-strain relation by the first order Taylor series with respect to the reference time. A good agreement between the measured and predicted results are observed and the effects of the bottom concrete placed at the negative moment region of the bridge girder are discussed.

In this note a weak law of large number of the form $({\sum}_{j=1}^na_jX_j-{\nu}_n)/b_n\rightarrow\limits^p0$ is established, where $\{{\nu}_n,\;n{\geq}1\}$ is a suitable sequence.

It is very important to know the magnitude of the restraint moment which is appeared at the inner-support of the continuous PSC girder. The Age-adjusted Effective Modulus Method(AEMM) is used to get the magnitude of the restraint moment for the purpose of the time-dependent analysis of the concrete. The important factors for computing the restraint moment, the creep coefficient and the shrinkage strain are computed by comparing Korean specification with AC1209. The restrain moment is created by the individual continuity load. The main purpose of this paper is ensuring the safety of structure by acquiring the time-dependent stress acting on the concrete because the process of construction is getting difficult due to the advance of technology. The negative moment at the inner-support is decreased about 55% by introducing the process of making the continuous bridge relatively early.

The voltage-dependent transmittance curve of a homogeneously aligned liquid crystal (LC) cell driven by fringe-electric field(named FFS mode) was studied, while changing dielectric anisotropy of a LC. The results show that for a LC with positive dielectric anisotropy while positioning at initial position. Therefore, we conclude that the dynamic stability is strongly dependent on the types of the LCs and voltage-dependent dynamics of the LC with negative dielectric anisotropy is staler than that of the LC with positive dielectric anisotropy in the FFS mode.

This paper deals with the long - time behavior of global bounded solutions for a non-autonomous dispersive-dissipative equation with time-dependent nonlinear damping terms under the null Dirichlet boundary condition. By a new Lyapunov functional and Łojasiewicz-Simon inequality, we show that any global bounded solution converges to a steady state and get the rate of convergence as well, which depends on the decay of the non-autonomous term g(x, t), when damping coefficients are integral positive and positive-negative, respectively.

This paper dealt with circuit modeling of SCR and gate turn-off SCR by using complementary symmetrical tansistor circuit, which is modified circuit of input current dependent, current stable negative resitance circuit. Operation of this circuit is estimated and analyzed, with which compared with conventional SCR modeling circuit. Also operation and the design procedures are checked by experiments.
