This study was intended to contribute to allowing athletes to raise a technical understanding of two motions of high difficulty such as the Swallow motion and the Nakayama motion and enhance their competitive power by analysing the kinematical factors required to link those two motions on the competitive scene on the rings for current national athletes. For this purpose, the game of the ring event was videotaped for male heavy gymnasts participating in the final elimination match of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. This study attempted to select the performing motions of the final 1st-and 2nd-place athletes performing the linking motions from the Swallow motion and the Nakayama motion using the DLT(direct linear transformation) method. As a result, it arrived at the following conclusion : A1 properly performed the flexing and extending movements using the angular velocity of the segment and joint as the switching motion using the body at the time of linking the motion from the Swallow skill to the Nakayama skill. A2 was evaluated to perform the skill taking the form of depending on the force at the static state. Therefore, it is thought that A1 should take care of shaking at the time of using the elasticity of the body. It is thought that in case of A2 the proper use of the elasticity of the body take care of shaking at the switching motion while taking advantage of the force will contribute to his competitive power.

In In-cheon, There are many small scale and minor Freight Forwarders take advantage of being linked with a port, an airport but their inefficient paper works cause raising of Logistics costs and losing of competitive power. In this study, we design a web based ocean forwarder information system for freight forwarder to solve these problems. So, this system will provide decreasing operation time, human resources, and accessing easily because of web based system, and finally decrease logistics cost and improve national competitive power.

This paper focuses on effects that IPTV will have on domestic broadcasting market in the point of view of customers. The purpose of the paper is to present the future landscape of competitive media market when IPTV is launched, and to research how IPTV will have impact on terrestrial broadcasting, cable TV and satellite broadcasting industry. The paper integrates two known theories, such as the niche-gratification model and the value-expectancy model, to analyze competitive media market. The value expected model makes it possible to overcome the weakness of the niche-gratification model and to forecast competitiveness more accurately. According to this research, competitive power will be in the order of Cable TV, IPTV, and satellite broadcasting. Terrestrial broadcasting does not show strong competitive relationships with others statistically. As a result, Cable TV will be the most competitive medium in the future. IPTV will be stuck in the middle and can rapidly substitute for existing broadcasting services. While IPTV will severely threaten the satellite broadcasting company which has a relatively small number of subscribers, cable TV will be in a superior position to IPTV.

Wind is a significant and valuable renewable energy resource. It is safe and abundant and can make an important contribution to future clean, sustainable and diversified electricity supplies. Unlike other sources of energy, wind does not pollute the atmosphere nor create any hazardous waste. In some countries wind energy is already competitive with fossil and nuclear power even without accounting for the environmental benefits of wind power. The cost of electricity from conventional power stations does not usually take full account of its environmental impact (acid rain, oil slick clean up, the effects of climate change, etc). In this paper, a transient phenomenon simulation method for Wind Power Generation System(WPGS) under real weather conditions has been proposed. The simulation method is expected to be able to analyze easily under various conditions with considering the sort of wind turbine, the capacity of system and the converter system. Wind turbine connected to the synchronous generator and power converter was simulated.

Recently, the development of the HTS power cable is actively promoted. As the length of HTS power cable increases, there have been many efforts to develop large capacity cryocooler. Among the various cryocooler, the Brayton refrigerator is the most competitive for HTS power cable. The Brayton refrigerator is composed of recuperative heat exchangers, a compressor, and a cryogenic turbo expander. In these components, the cryogenic turbo expander is a part to decrease the temperature and it is the most significant component that is closely related with overall system efficiency. It rotates with high speed using a high-pressure helium or neon gas at cryogenic temperature. This paper describes the design of a 10 kW class Brayton refrigeration cycle and the cryogenic turbo expander. Flow and structural analysis are performed for the rotating impeller and nozzle to verify the efficiency and the design performance.

This paper is mainly associated with setting out an agenda for the transformation of security by creating a new framework for a security system, which can maximise its effectiveness. Noticeably, this research shows empirically that crimes are getting a major cost to organisations, which if reduced by security and investigations could reap substantial rewards to the finances of an organisation. However, the problem is that the delivery of security is frequently delegated to personnel (e.g. security guards) with limited training, inadequate education, and no real commitment to professionalism - 'sub-prime' security, finally causing security failures. Therefore, if security can be enhanced to reduce the crime cost, this will produce financial benefits to business, and consequently could produce a competitive advantage. For this, the paper basically draws upon Luke's theoretical framework for deconstructing 'power' into three dimensions. Using this three-dimensional approach, the paper further sets out a model of how security can be enhanced, utilising a new Security Risk Management (SRM) model, and how can this SRM model create competitive advantage in business. Finally, this paper ends with the six strategies needed to enhance the quality of security: refiguring as SRM, Professional Staff, Accurate Measurement, Prevention, Cultural Change, and Metrics.

Port industry has achieved a remarkable growth with a help from increase in container shipment and above all, transshipment that reflects international competitive power of Port industry amounts to 36% of the national harbor shipment. Therefore, this study speculates the impact of Port industry on national economy using the inter-industry relation table. As it considers the reason why international competitive power in Port facilities decreased as absence of investment, it is to present an effective investment plan for Port industry. Though Port industry as one of main national key industries play an important role in production of national economy, it has been evaluated as having relatively less importance. And when Port industry is managed independently, relying on foreign countries without improvement, price increase due to improper agreement of foreign enterprises and problems relating to securing safe transportational vehicles will have tremendous impact on national economy. And they should try to create added-value and support re-export of the exported and imported shipment through their processing and packaging by making Port zones bonded area. production of national economy, it has been evaluated as having relatively less importance. This study analyzes factors affecting the competitiveness of broadband over power line communication (BPLC) and predicts demand for the service, based on quantitative information about consumer preferences drawn from a survey of Korean consumers. Findings from the estimation suggest that, although consumers value some beneficial features of BPLC, to be competitive the speed and stability of its data transmission needs to be improved. Moreover, on the basis of a market simulation, we expect BPLC to occupy only a small portion of Korea's Internet access market in the future, a finding we expect would hold true for other developed countries whose Internet access markets are already mature.
