Using the narrative method of qualitative research, this study of the puerperal period (6 weeks just after delivery) analyzed how mothers, after birthing their first child, changed from women to mothers. The survey of 8 mothers was implemented by personal interviews, talking on the phone, or chatting on the internet 5 to 7 times each over one year. Results showed that mothers first realized that they were changing from women to mothers by experiencing sudden physical changes through delivery and lactation and by such childrearing behaviors as feeding, bathing, and putting their child to bed. Mothers recognized this process was facilitated by relationships with others owing to their shared interest in the child.

The purposes of this study were to explore the relations of preschoolers' narrative representation profile types to diurnal cortisol regulation pattern at home. Fourteen story stems from the MacArthur Story Stem Battery (MSSB, Bretherton, et al., 1990) were administered to 40 preschoolers(22 boys, 18 girls, aged 5) recruited from 8 kindergartens in the Seoul and Gyeonggi areas. And also, their saliva cortisol was collected. The children's responses were aggregated into 5 dimensions, based on content themes and performance scores, which included emotions expressed and narrative coherence using the MacArthur Narrative Coding System(Robinson, et al., 2004). Data were analyzed by means of cluster analysis. Five response profiles emerged over the course of this research: Prosocial, Anxiety, Dyregulated aggression, Restricted, and Avoidance profiles. Cortisol at home showed decrease diurnal cortisol regulation patterns, however it showed a difference according to narrative response profiles. Restricted, Prosocial, and Avoidance profiles showed decrease diurnal cortisol regulation patterns. Anxiety profiles showed flat pattern, and Dyregulated aggression profile showed rising diurnal cortisol regulation pattern. These results show the preschoolers' internal representation may affect the diurnal cortisol reaction in daytime.

The purpose of this study was to investigate narrative structure and meaning structure of pictures In TV reporting. TV reporting consists of linguistic representation and pictural representation with which implicate specific meanings. In the past, the latter has been considered as a kind of added material to the former. But, todays, the latter has been considered more important than the latter in implicating specific meanings. Therefore, the author analysed pictures of TV reporting. Specifically, he selected KBS TV news coverage on '9 11 Disaster of U.S.' with various semiological research methods. Through this study, firstly, It was found that the pictural representation was organized with specific narrative structure applied for linguistic representation. Secondly, its meaning was more important than one of linguistic representation. Thirdly, its styles and structures tended to confine range, abstract and limitation of meanings presented by linguistic representation. Fourthly, images of the pictural representation could be interpreted with narrative structures of linguistic representation.

A game designer is the initial design of the quest based on narrative. It is important that to predict game character of play experience to establish these static content. This paper deal with player's affective interaction distinguishing among game characters are perform quest-play based on their characteristic status. To achieve this, First of all, previous studies regarding pre-visualization of narrative structure for other visual media are reviewed. Secondly, it is specified that quest-play experience and player's cognitive behavior. At last, these features of status by character were pre-visualized with QUG(Quest Unit Graph), which could be represented differences in precess of quest-play through analysis on world of warcarft game. Previous research is about of numerical balance in terms of character's achievement, whereas this study is meaningful that is proposed that visual model of quest-play interaction focused on narrative structure to predict game designer's architecture of quest experience.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the design methods and characteristics of papercraft fashion from 2001 to 2015. The study has been conducted through theoretical research and case study. Overall, types of papercraft expressions are classified into the following four categories: narrative papercraft fashion, organic papercraft fashion, variable papercraft fashion, and recycling papercraft fashion. The characteristics and aspects of each type of papercraft is described below. First, narrative papercraft fashion expresses as factual description of the natural environment. These works convey fantastic image by showing fairy tale animals or plants using paper folding or cutting. Second, organic papercraft fashion creates a futuristic shape by expressing organic parts in nature. Also, it often depicts future-oriented images by repeatedly representing organic shapes using uniform patterns in nature. Third, variable papercraft fashion expresses a variety of changing shapes through a flexible design based on the style of wearing. This variation may be accomplished through changeable dress connected to human gestures. Variable papercraft represents play-fulness, which conveys enjoyment to the wearer and the audience. Fourth, recycling papercraft fashion uses paper materials of the past, and recreates them into artworks through handicraft techniques. Recycling papercraft conveys high value added fashion by dissolving the material into pulp.

Purpose: The objective of this research is to identify the core aspects of persuasive factors influencing consumer's experiential value towards using Augmented Reality (AR) try-on feature while shopping cosmetic products online. The conceptual framework of this study is adopted and integrated from the theoretical study on how narrative experience, media richness, and presence affect the formation of experiential value in the augmented reality interactive technology (ARIT) process. Research design, data and methodology: The sample (n = 550) were collected from online and offline questionnaires by using stratified random sampling and purposive sampling methods. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Model (SEM) were used to analyze the data to confirm goodness-of-fit of the model and hypothesis testing. Results: The results indicated that media richness induced higher experiential value (consumer ROI, playfulness, service excellence and aesthetics), followed by narrative experience and presence towards using AR try-on feature. Conclusions: Consumer's experiential value towards using AR try-on feature when shopping cosmetic products online rely on media richness, narrative experience and presence respectively. Therefore, marketing practitioners are recommended to develop the feature design and content to be more useful, authentic, user-friendly and entertaining to better connect and provide confidence to consumers when shopping cosmetics online.

Korean clients show a tendency to hide the real causes of problem. Therefore the 'grasping the real cause of a problem' is regarded as the first characteristic in Reality Dynamic Counseling. Many counselors stress over how express empathy with a client rather than understanding a problem. However the attitude change wouldn't be attained without grasping the real cause of a problem. The researcher tries to demonstrate how this characteristic is at play in counseling process. The researcher illustrates this process by 'narrative method' as one of qualitative research methods. The client who had received counseling for stress disorder and insomnia took a turn for the better as soon as getting at the truth of his problem.

This narrative inquiry examines the experience of mentally ill patients who used the psychiatric day hospital care service. The researchers in this inquiry conducted in-depth interviews three times with four patients who used day hospital care and data was also collected from additional conversations when patients were on outpatient visit after being discharged from the day hospital. The inquiry uses the narrative research method to describe the experience of using day hospital services as follows; a springboard to reconnect to the world, a place to be empowered and set the mind at ease, and a guide to direction in life. This inquiry is meaningful in that it deals with the in-depth stories of the mentally ill patients who experienced the day hospital care. Based on the results of the inquiry, the following policy suggestions are made; institutional support for reducing social isolation of psychiatric patients, activation of various support systems and further program development.

Student teaching is equivalent to an egg just before oviposition. There is a growing acting voice that teaching profession is not necessarily required as the years go by. I developed a process that 55 student teachers search for their identity as a teacher during four-week student teaching program according to Clandinin and Connelly(2000)'s narrative inquiry. The procedure consisted of three stages such as access to the field, field text writing, and research text writing. The student teachers wrote journals by week to search for their identity as a teacher with a focus on what they observed in the field and what they were motivated by teachers and students. Free and truthful 220 stories conducted in a student teaching online cafe were collected as a field text. And the research text was reliving and retelling through poetic writing on each week's themes of exploration, growth, reflection, and pledge to complete the narrative inquiry. Student teachers, an absolute majority, including home economics student teachers aimed for the teaching profession and waited for their hatching.

This research presents the relationship building between the supervisor and supervisee through the supervision process in a narrative inquiry. The supervisory relationships of the supervisor A and supervisee B, and the effects they have on the relationship between the two are described in as factual terms as possible. The results imply that genuineness and openness are the core components of relationship. Especially, in the case of a highly hierarchical relationship, where it is often easy for the supervisor to employ hidden tactics, efforts on the part of the supervisor's endeavor to develop unconditional acceptance can be helpful in establishing a more open-minded attitude. As a result, the common view in the literature that attributes relationship hierarchy to cultural factors may need to be reexamined. This research provides evidence that in the case of supervision and training in counseling, establishing an environment of acceptance, trust and rapport can help advance the supervisory relationship to a less hierarchical form.
