  • Kerberos is designed to provide strong authentication between client and application servers which are working in distributed network environment by using symmetric-key cryptography, and supposed to trust other systems of the realm. In this paper, we design an efficient and strong authentication mechanism by introducing the public/private-key to Kerberos. In the mechanism to make a system more secure, the value of the session key is changed everytime using MAC(message authentication code) algorithm with the long-term key for user-authentication and a random number exchanged through the public key. Also, we employ a mutual authentication method, which is used on challenge-response mechanism based on digital signatures, to improve trust between realms, and present a way of reducing the number of keys by simplifying authentication steps.

Second, the effects which the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler Corporations can obtain in Sea Food Wholesale Market by building up a Distribution Information are classified into the effects of task, cost, and competition. It has analyzed the influence of these effects in direct and indirect Trust between the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler. Third, it has recognized the upcoming problems in Sea Food Wholesale Market by building up a Distribution Information, and it has suggested a plan to make the Distribution Information application successful in Sea Food Wholesale Market. This study has used a questionnaire to verify 5 hypotheses. Research model, factor analysis, correlation relationship analysis. The result of this study are summarized as follows : Building up the Distribution Information influences positively on the effectiveness of task, cost and competitiveness regardless of it being the Wholesale Market Company or the Intermediary Wholesaler corporation. However, the results of this analysis are to verify differences according to the degree of construction of the Distribution Information and the degree of the perception of the problems between the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler corporations have shown that there were distinct differences in the degree of computerization and of efforts to build a Distribution Information. Also there were distinct differences according to the degree of perceiving problems relating to building up the Distribution Information and the stages of the Distribution Information between the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler corporations. This study suggest three important steps that will help to establish a successful Distribution Information. First, the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler corporations should make efforts to increase mutual profits in partnership, and make direct Trust by sharing mutual information. Second, the lack of understanding of the Distribution Information between departments within the company requires educating employees about the Distribution Information. It is necessary to expand the communication networks of the Distribution Information between the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler. Third, mutual exchange of Information should be possible to offer systematic exchange of Information between the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler corporations.

  • In a traditional Single Sign-On (SSO) scheme, the user and the Service Providers (SPs) have given their trust to the Identity Provider (IdP) or Authentication Service Provider (ASP) for the authentication and correct assertion. However, we still need a better solution for the local/native true SSO to gain user confidence, whereby the trusted entity must play the role of the ASP between distinct SPs. This technical gap has been filled by Trusted Computing (TC), where the remote attestation approach introduced by the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) is to attest whether the remote platform integrity is indeed trusted or not. In this paper, we demonstrate a Trustworthy Mutual Attestation (TMutualA) protocol as a proof of concept implementation for a local true SSO using the Integrity Measurement Architecture (IMA) with the Trusted Platform Module (TPM). In our proposed protocol, firstly, the user and SP platform integrity are checked (i.e., hardware and software integrity state verification) before allowing access to a protected resource sited at the SP and releasing a user authentication token to the SP. We evaluated the performance of the proposed TMutualA protocol, in particular, the client and server attestation time and the round trip of the mutual attestation time.

  • As economic profits and social influences of firms grow with economic development and their organizational expansion, consumers increasingly require firms to have their social responsibility. Because social responsibility strongly influences corporate reliability, consumers' intention to purchase, customer loyalty to the products and the recognition of an ethical firm have gained attention as a concept of strategical importance. The prosperity of society should be proceeded for the sustainable development of a firm and the necessity of social responsibility should be emphasized to achieve virtuous circle structure that promotes growth. Additionally, the social responsibility should be proceeded to form trust on a firm. It is very important to change the recognition of consumers to purchase products and increase the profit of a company. This study aims to analyze how social responsibility properties of firms (economic, ethical, discretionary, and legal aspects as low-level factors of social responsibility which Carroll (1979) defined) affect corporate reliability and purchase intention. The analysis found that consumers trust in firms are positively influenced by ethical responsibility (0.391), economic responsibility (0.293), legal responsibility (0.251), and discretionary responsibility (0.248). The relationship between sub-factor of social responsibility and purchase intention is not significantly influenced by other explanatory variables. Corporate trust exerts a direct influence on purchase Intention (0.456). The social responsibility of a firm didn't influence a direct purchase intention. It was found that it brought positive effect on the purchase intention in the course of forming trust. This study suggests that firms should make efforts to understand the relationship between corporate trust and purchase intention along with the characteristics of social responsibility that consumers recognize and improve management strategies for mutual complementary interests.
