Performance analysis and saturation bound research of cyclic-quorum multichannel MAC protocol based on Markov chain model

  • In high diversity node situation, single-channel MAC protocols suffer from many collisions. To solve this problem, the research of multichannel MAC protocol has become a hotspot. And the cyclic quorum-based multichannel (CQM) MAC protocol outperformed others owing to its high frequency utilization. In addition, it can avoid the bottleneck that others suffered from and can be easily realized with only one transceiver. To obtain the accurate performance of CQM MAC protocol, a Markov chain model, which combines the channel hopping strategy of CQM protocol and IEEE 802.11 distributed coordination function (DCF), is proposed. The metrics (throughput and average packet transmission delay) are calculated in performance analysis, with respect to node number, packet rate, channel slot length and channel number. The results of numerical analysis show that the optimal performance of CQM protocol can be obtained in saturation bound situation. And then we obtain the saturation bound of CQM system by bird swarm algorithm (BSA). Finally, the Markov chain model and saturation bound are verified by Qualnet platform. And the simulation results show that the analytic and simulation results match very well.

소/중형 컴퓨터를 위한 MCSST 소프트웨어 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of the Multichannel Sea Surface Temperature(MCSST) Software for Mini-Computer System)

  • Improvement of the multichannel sea surface temperature(MCSST) software, which had been developed for the purpose of operating under mainframe computer system, was seeked in order to operate effectively in a mini computer system. CPU time and processing time, which is not a major factor under mainframe computer system, become a critical factor in real time image processing under mini computer system. Due to fixed kernel size(3$\times$4) of the old MCSST software, high spatial resolution characteristics of the original image received from satellites were apparently degraded when images are transformed into a cartesian coordinate system after geometrical distortions of the image due to earth curvature are removed. CPU and processing time were reduced to 0.13 and 0.15~0.22 comparing with the old MCSST's, respectively, by applying disk block I/O and M/T queue I/O method under VAX-11/750 computer. The high resolution quality (1.1km in AVHRR) of the processed image was guaranted using 2$\times$2 kernel size and applying moving window techniques without sacrificing CPU and processing time much.

  • This paper summarises theoretical and experimental work on the feedback control of sound radiation from honeycomb panels using piezoceramic actuators. It is motivated by the problem of sound transmission in aircraft, specifically the active control of trim panels. Trim panels are generally honeycomb structures designed to meet the design requirement of low weight and high stiffness. They are resiliently-mounted to the fuselage for the passive reduction of noise transmission. Local coupling of the closely-spaced sensor and actuator was observed experimentally and modelled using a single degree of freedom system. The effect of the local coupling was to roll-off the response between the actuator and sensor at high frequencies, so that a feedback control system can have high gain margins. Unfortunately, only relatively poor global performance is then achieved because of localisation of reduction around the actuator. This localisation prompts the investigation of a multichannel active control system. Globalised reduction was predicted using a model of 12 channel direct velocity feedback control. The multichannel system, however, does not appear to yield a significant improvement in the performance because of decreased gain margin.

방사선 에너지 분석을 위한 MCA시스템 제작에 관한 연구 (Construction of Multichannel Analyser with Successive Approximation Type ADC)

  • SA(Successive Approximation)형 ADC(Analog to Digital Converter)를 사용하여 방사선다중채널파고 분석기를 설계 제작하였다. 선형게이트, 윈도우 및 펄스스트레처는 논리 IC와 선형 IC들을 위주로 결합하여 구성하였으며, 분석시간이 $120{\mu}sec$인 ADC 1211(12 bit)을 중심으로 한 ADC 모듈의 메모리로는 S-RAM 6264 (Address 13 bit, Data 8 bit) 2개를 병렬로 연결하여 사용하였다. 마이크로 컴퓨터 (Apple II)가 전체 시스템을 제어하고 또 계측된 결과의 데이타를 분석할 수 있도록 인터페이스와 소프트 웨어도 만들었다. 제작된 시스템의 동작시험은 표준펄스 발생기로 $0{\sim}10V$ 사이의 일정한 펄스를 만들어 시스템에 입력시켜 그 펄스들을 계측하게 하고, 계측이 끝난 후 컴퓨터가 그 결과를 받아들여 분석하게 함으로써 이루어졌다.

다수로해석 방법론에 의한 국산핵연료 노심 열적 여유도 평가 (Evaluation of the Thermal Margin in a KOFA-Loaded Core by a Multichannel Analysis Methodology)

  • 단일수로 해석 모형을 다수로 해석 모형으로 대체할 경우 얻을 수 있는 열적 여유도 향상에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 이를 위하여 17$\times$17 국산핵 연료 장전 노심에 적용할 수 있는 새로운 임계열속 상관식을 개발하였으며, 여기에 사용된 부수로 국부 조건은 다수로 해석 코드인 TORC로 계산하였다. 그리고, 고온부구로 DNBR 분석을 위하여 전 노심에 대한 단일단계 해석 모형을 개발하였다. 분석 결과 다수로 해석 모형인 TORC/KRB-1 체제를 사용할 경우 단일수로 해석 모형인 PUMA/ERB-2 체제에 비하여 약 5% 이상의 열적 여유도를 회복할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 열적 여유도의 증가는 두 코드간의 고온부수로 국부조건 예측 성능 차이와 임계열속 상관식의 특성 차이에서 기인한 것이다.

  • A system using a personal computer has been developed for Polymerase Chain Reaction, an amplifying process of specific DNA. This system is composed of software and hardware which contains a control system, a heating and cooling system, a multichannel A/D converter, and a personal computor. The software is programmed'in assembly'and basic language. The newly developed PCR system which is controlled by the program of the personnal computor can be applied 1.o the amplification of various DNA. This system was tested by using Mycobacterium tuberculosis DNA and showed the DNA band on the UV transilluminator.

  • For real-time interactive multimedia operations, such as video uploading, video play, fast-forward, and fast-rewind, solid state disk (SSD)-based storage systems for video streaming servers are becoming more important. Random access rates in storage systems increase significantly with the number of users; it is thus difficult to simultaneously serve many users with HDD-based storage systems, which have low random access performance. Because there is no mechanical operation in NAND flash-based SSDs, they outperform HDDs in terms of flexible random access operation. In addition, due to the multichannel architecture of SSDs, they perform similarly to HDDs in terms of sequential access. In this paper, we propose a new SSD-based storage system for interactive media servers. Based on the proposed method, it is possible to maximize the channel utilization of the SSD's multichannel architecture. Accordingly, we can improve the performance of SSD-based storage systems for interactive media operations.

모세관 전기영동 장치용 Photodiode Array 다채널 검출기의 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of a Multi - channel Detector for Capillary Electrophoresis System)

  • 수 많은 광검출기들이 직선으로 집적된 광다이오드 어레이를 이용한 모세관 전기영동장치용 다채널 검출기를 개발하였다. 본 연구에서 사용된 광다이오드 어레이는 1024개의 광검출소자를 가지고 있으며 275~675 nm 파장범위에서 시료의 흡수분광스펙트럼을 검출할 수 있다. 이 장치는 30 ms내에 전 파장영역의 스펙트럼을 얻을 수 있으며, PC에 의하여 시료분석에 필요한 여러 가지 조건들을 제어할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 개발된 검출기의 성능을 L-ascorbic acid와 alizarin yellow GG를 사용하여 시험하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 모세관 전기영동장치용 다채널 검출기의 재현성 실험결과 상대 표준편차는 5.6%이었다.
