  • In this paper, we focused on the problem of evaluating multi-class classification accuracy and simulation of multiple classifier performance metrics. Multi-class classifiers for sentiment analysis involved many challenges, whereas previous research narrowed to the binary classification model since it provides higher accuracy when dealing with text data. Thus, we take inspiration from the non-linear Support Vector Machine to modify the algorithm by embedding dynamic hyperplanes representing multiple class labels. Then we analyzed the performance of multi-class classifiers using macro-accuracy, micro-accuracy and several other metrics to justify the significance of our algorithm enhancement. Furthermore, we hybridized Enhanced Convolution Neural Network (ECNN) with Dynamic Support Vector Machine (DSVM) to demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of the classifier towards multi-class text data. We performed experiments on three hybrid classifiers, which are ECNN with Binary SVM (ECNN-BSVM), and ECNN with linear Multi-Class SVM (ECNN-MCSVM) and our proposed algorithm (ECNNDSVM). Comparative experiments of hybrid algorithms yielded 85.12 % for single metric accuracy; 86.95 % for multiple metrics on average. As for our modified algorithm of the ECNN-DSVM classifier, we reached 98.29 % micro-accuracy results with an f-score value of 98 % at most. For the future direction of this research, we are aiming for hyperplane optimization analysis.

  • In this paper, we give several fixed point theorems in a complete metric space for two multi-valued mappings commuting with two single-valued mappings. In fact, our main theorems show the existence of solutions of functional equations f($\chi$)=g($\chi$)$\in$S$\chi$∩T$\chi$ and $\chi$=f($\chi$)=g($\chi$)$\in$S$\chi$∩T$\chi$ under certain conditions. We also answer an open question proposed by Rhoades-Singh-Kulsherestha. Throughout this paper, let (X, d) be a complete metric space. We shall follow the following notations : CL(X) = {A; A is a nonempty closed subset of X}, CB(X)={A; A is a nonempty closed and founded subset of X}, C(X)={A; A is a nonempty compact subset of X}, For each A, B$\in$CL(X) and $\varepsilon$>0, N($\varepsilon$, A) = {$\chi$$\in$X; d($\chi$, ${\alpha}$) < $\varepsilon$ for some ${\alpha}$$\in$A}, E$\sub$A, B/={$\varepsilon$ > 0; A⊂N($\varepsilon$ B) and B⊂N($\varepsilon$, A)}, and (equation omitted). Then H is called the generalized Hausdorff distance function fot CL(X) induced by a metric d and H defined CB(X) is said to be the Hausdorff metric induced by d. D($\chi$, A) will denote the ordinary distance between $\chi$$\in$X and a nonempty subset A of X. Let R$\^$+/ and II$\^$+/ denote the sets of nonnegative real numbers and positive integers, respectively, and G the family of functions ${\Phi}$ from (R$\^$+/)$\^$s/ into R$\^$+/ satisfying the following conditions: (1) ${\Phi}$ is nondecreasing and upper semicontinuous in each coordinate variable, and (2) for each t>0, $\psi$(t)=max{$\psi$(t, 0, 0, t, t), ${\Phi}$(t, t, t, 2t, 0), ${\Phi}$(0, t, 0, 0, t)} $\psi$: R$\^$+/ \longrightarrow R$\^$+/ is a nondecreasing upper semicontinuous function from the right. Before sating and proving our main theorems, we give the following lemmas:

  • This Paper presents a modified hard decision Viterbi decoder with an error prediction circuit enhancing performance for the burst error inputs. Viterbi decoder employs the maximum likelihood decoding algorithm which shows excellent error correction capability for the random error inputs. Viterbi decoders, however, suffer poor error correction performance for the burst error inputs under the fading channel. The proposed error prediction algorithm increases error correction capability for the burst errors. The algorithm estimaties the burst error data area using the maximum path metric for the erroneous inputs, It calculates burst error intervals based on increases in the maximum values of a path metric. The proposed decoder keeps a performance the same as the conventional decoders on AWGN channels for the IEEE802.l1a WLAN system. It shows performance inproving 15% on the burst error of multi-path fading channels, widely used in mobile systems.

  • An aerial multi-looking camera system equips itself with five separate cameras which enables acquiring one vertical image and four oblique images at the same time. This provides diverse information about the site compared to aerial photographs vertically. The geometric relationship of oblique cameras and a vertical camera can be modelled by 6 exterior orientation parameters. Once the relationship between the vertical camera and each oblique camera is determined, the exterior orientation parameters of the oblique images can be calculated by the exterior orientation parameters of the vertical image. In order to examine the exterior orientation of both a vertical camera and each oblique cameras in the multi-looking camera relatively, calibration targets were installed in a lab and 14 images were taken from three image stations by tilting and rotating a non-metric digital camera. The interior orientation parameters of the camera and the exterior orientation parameters of the images were estimated. The exterior orientation parameters of the oblique image with respect to the vertical image were calculated relatively by the exterior orientation parameters of the images and error propagation of the orientation angles and the position of the projection center was examined.

  • The objectives of this study were to analyze the influence of chemical water quality on fish guilds, pollution tolerance and the multi-metric ecological health, based on the Fish Assessment Index (FAI) in the main stream of Mangyeong River between 2009-2016. The quality of water with specific conductivity, TP, and $NH_4-N$ got worse dramatically in the down region. During the study, a total of 50 species were collected and the most dominant species was Zacco platypus. Also known as tolerant species, accounted 22.9% of the total abundances, thus indicating a trophic degradation. The downstream region (S5) had the highest number of fish external abnormalities, indicating a degradation of ecological health, based on the fish assemblages. Pearson correlation analysis indicated that relative abundance of tolerant fish species and omnivore fish species had a significant positive correlation(r>0.30, p<0.05) with values of BOD, conductivity and $NH_4-N$. Whereas, the relative abundance of the sensitive species and insectivore species had a significant negative relations (r<-0.30, p<0.001) with the parameters. The mean obtained from the multi-metric fish model, based on the FAI of all sites was 47 (n=40). This indicated a "fair condition" in the ecological health, and the downstream regions (S3-S5) were judged as "bad condition", indicating an influence of the chemical degradation on the ecological health.

  • Recently, Korean government has introduced Multi Metric Indices (MMI) using various biocommunity information for aquatic ecosystem monitoring and ecosystem health assessment at the national level. MMI is a key tool in national ecosystem health assessment programs. The MMI consists of indices that respond to different target environmental factors, including environmental disturbance (e.g. nutrients, hydrological and hydraulic situation of site etc.). We used zooplankton community information collected from Korean lakes to estimate the availability of candidate zooplankton MMI indices that can be used to assess lake ecosystem health. First, we modified the candidate indices proposed by the U.S. EPA to suit Korean conditions. The modified indices were subjected to individual index suitability analysis, correlation analysis with environmental variables, and redundancy analysis among indices, and 19 indices were finally selected. Taxonomic diversity was suggested to be an important indicator for all three taxonomic groups (cladoceran, copepod, rotifer), on the other hand, the indices using biomass for large cladocerans and copepods, while the indices using abundance were suggested for small cladocerans and rotifers.

  • The paper presents a multi-objective optimization strategy for a multi-type sensor placement for Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) of long span bridges. The problem is formulated for simultaneous placement of strain sensors and accelerometers (heterogeneous network) based on application demands for SHM system. Modal Identification (MI) and Accurate Mode Shape Expansion (AMSE) were chosen as the application demands for SHM. The optimization problem is solved through the use of integer Genetic Algorithm (GA) to maximize a common metric to ensure adequate MI and AMSE. The performance of the joint optimization problem solved by GA is compared with other established methods for homogenous sensor placement. The results indicate that the use of a multi-type sensor system can improve the quality of SHM. It has also been demonstrated that use of GA improves the overall quality of the sensor placement compared to other methods for optimization of sensor placement.

  • Internet network routing system is used to prevent spread and distribution of malicious data traffic. This study is based on analysis of diagnostic weakness structure in the network security domain. We propose an improved integrated multi-level protection domain for in the internal route of groupware. This paper's protection domain is designed to handle the malicious data traffic in the groupware and finally leads to lighten the load of data traffic and improve network security in the groupware. Infrastructure of protection domain is transformed into five-stage blocking domain from two or three-stage blocking. Filtering and protections are executed for the entire server at the gateway level and internet traffic route ensures differentiated protection by dividing into five-stage. Five-stage multi-level network security domain's malicious data traffic protection performance is better than former one. In this paper, we use a trust evaluation metric for measuring the security domain's performance and suggested algorithm.

  • Plant leaf classification is a significant application of image processing techniques in modern agriculture. In this paper, a multi-granular angle description method is proposed for plant leaf classification and retrieval. The proposed method can describe leaf information from coarse to fine using multi-granular angle features. In the proposed method, each leaf contour is partitioned first with equal arc length under different granularities. And then three kinds of angle features are derived under each granular partition of leaf contour: angle value, angle histogram, and angular ternary pattern. These multi-granular angle features can capture both local and globe information of the leaf contour, and make a comprehensive description. In leaf matching stage, the simple city block metric is used to compute the dissimilarity of each pair of leaf under different granularities. And the matching scores at different granularities are fused based on quotient space theory to obtain the final leaf similarity measurement. Plant leaf classification and retrieval experiments are conducted on two challenging leaf image databases: Swedish leaf database and Flavia leaf database. The experimental results and the comparison with state-of-the-art methods indicate that proposed method has promising classification and retrieval performance.

  • The network coding mechanism has attracted much attention because of its advantage of enhanced network throughput which is a desirable characteristic especially in a multi-hop wireless network with limited link capacity such as the device-to-device (D2D) communication network of 5G. COPE proposes to use the XOR-based network coding in the two-hop wireless network topology. For multi-hop wireless networks, the Distributed Coding-Aware Routing (DCAR) mechanism was proposed, in which the coding conditions for two flows intersecting at an intermediate node are defined and the routing metric to improve the coding opportunity by preferring those routes with longer queues is designed. Because the routes with longer queues may increase the delay, DCAR is inefficient in delivering real-time multimedia traffic flows. In this paper, we propose a network coding-aware routing protocol for multi-hop wireless networks that enhances DCAR by considering traffic load distribution and link quality. From this, we can achieve higher network throughput and lower end-to-end delay at the same time for the proper delivery of time-sensitive data flow. The Qualnet-based simulation results show that our proposed scheme outperforms DCAR in terms of throughput and delay.
