Structural Design of a Mover considering the Thermal Analysis of a Stator Module (스테이터 모듈의 열해석을 고려한 이동체의 구조설계)

  • When we design a linear motor, the thermal behavior investigation is one of great important considerations with respect to uniform thrust force and thermal deformation of a linear motor. In this study, we conduct the research for the structural design of the linear motor for LMTT(Linear Motor-based Transfer Technology) which is the next generation of container horizontal transfer system in order to automate a container terminal. After the dimensions of main parts for a linear motor were set up, we carried out the thermal-structural analysis of the linear motor considering the thermal analysis of the stator module.

  • Major advanced countries pursuing accountability for research and development are carrying out gendered innovations by recognizing the importance of sex and gender analysis in science research and technology development. Korea needs to actively promote gendered innovations as a strategy moving from Fast Follower to First Mover. In order to promote gendered innovations in the science, technology and ICT fields, policies of integrating the gender dimension in the process of research from research design to the analysis of research outcomes should be declared and research support measures should be introduced from the proposal evaluation for the gendered innovations. In particular, in order to support the new gendered innovations research systematically in Korea's R & D system, a legal basis must precede. In this study, we propose an amendment to the law related to gender innovation by analyzing the cases in foreign countries.

  • Permanent magnet is applied to the mover of eddy current braking system for high speed. On the analytical 2D field solutions considering end effect, this paper deals with the magnetic field, and forces according to the secondary magnet array. Comparisons between analytical results and experimental results are also presented.

  • The propulsion system which apply the diesel engine with reduction gear as prime mover, generally installs the elastic coupling between engine and intermediate shaft, This coupling can isolate the vibratory torque excited by diesel engine, or the excess transient torque and moment occurring by external impact. So, diesel engine and reduction gear can safely operate by elastic coupling. Unfortunately, the elastic coupling for skimmer vessel was repeatedly broken by unknown vibration during the sea trial In this paper, the authors are searching for the possibilities and causes of the elastic coupling failure, via the global vibration measurement and the past incident investigation.

  • This paper builds a system dynamics model analyzing first mover effect and growth strategy of online retailer, a major segment of B2C e-commerce. The dynamic model in this paper is calibrated to the online book market and Yes24.com as major test cases. The model consists of eight key value chain sectors. Five of these(Users, Site Operations, Human Resources, Financial Accounting, and Fundraising) are internal to the company, and three others(Market, Financial Market, and Relative Performance) are external to the company. With the model, this paper suggests research propositions representing positive feedback loops and negative feedback loops that lead to corporate growth and limits to growth according to dynamic causal relationships among eight key value chain sectors, and simulate these propositions.

  • This paper describes the development of a novel transverse flux linear motor (TFLM) excited by permanent magnets (PMs). It combines the advantage of two different TFLMs and produces high thrust with reduced normal force. The magnetic field is analyzed by combining the three-dimensional (3D) equivalent magnetic circuit network (EMCN) method with 2D finite element analysis. The experimental findings of the prototype motors are in good agreements with the analysis results, and demonstrate the potential of the proposed motor as a direct drive requiring relatively long displacement of a mover.

  • The detent force by end-effect has a bad influence on moving coil type Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor(PMLSM). So, the reduction of detent force by end-effect is especially required for improvement of thrust characteristics. In this paper, in order to reduce detent force by end-effect the auxiliary teeth is installed at the end part of mover and it is optimized by using neural network.

  • This paper presents a analytical field solutions for the general class of Linear Brushless DC(LBLDC) motors with PM mover and 3-phase winding stator. In our magnetic field analysis, we have adopted an approach which can treat both magnetized material and winding from the each field analysis by magnetic vector potential considering 2-Dimensional slot modeling. Therefore, we give accurate analytical formulas and object function for design and parameters estimation by its magnetic field.

  • In this paper, it is treated the design and characteristics analysis of the voice coil type LOA which is composed of a voice coil type mover and permanent magnets. The design is acomplished using FEM analysis to make up the magnetic circuit. And the characteristics of LOA are analyzed to be used on the control system for the earthquake-proof experiments.

  • This paper proposes inserted core type of slotless Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor(PMLSM) to improve its low thrust density. However, by inserting the core between windings of each phase, detent force is generated. Furthermore, linear motors have the feature of structurally limited length. So, it causes the end-effect in actual operation. So, this paper applies the neural network to this model to minimize detent force and maximize thrust. Also, sub-poles used the to the end parts of the mover for compensating the end-effect.
