A Study on the Donations and Related Variables of Adolescents (청소년의 기부와 관련 변인 연구)

  • This paper aimed to verify the current status of adolescents' donations and predictors influencing their donation behaviors. First, the result revealed that adolescents' donations were higher in the order of time, material, and talent donation. Second, donation motives, attitude towards donation, self-esteem, a sense of community, and trust in charitable organization were positively correlated. Third, the predictors of material donation behaviors of adolescents were gender, age, extrinsic motives, attitude towards donation, sense of community, and trust in charitable organization. And the predictors of time donation behaviors were gender and sense of community, and those of talent donation were age, intrinsic motives and sense of community. The strategies for the activation of adolescents' donations were suggested.

  • The purpose of the study was to examine the relationships among gender, shopping motivations, flow experience, and purchases using structural equation modeling. Shopping motives were included in the study: self-refreshment, idea seeking, social interaction, product acquisition, and value seeking. Data from 452 male and female respondents were employed to test the model. Empirical findings supported that the proposed model was a good fit to data. Gender played an influential role in shopping motives. All motives except for product acquisition motive significantly influenced flow experience. Flow experiences enhance the purchasing. This study contributed the literature by providing a conceptual foundation of how gender and shopping motivation influence flow experience.

Survey of Motives for Visiting Oriental Medical Hospital and Satisfaction with Oriental Medical Care for Cancer Patients: Report of 22 Cases (환자 22예에 대한 한방병원 내원동기 및 한방치료 만족도 조사)

  • Objectives: This study aimed to understand the motives for visiting oriental medical hospital and the satisfaction degree of cancer patients, in order to increase the satisfaction rate of oriental medicine among cancer patients. Methods: The data were collected from inpatients who responded to a self-report questionnaire. Independent t-test, analysis of variance (ANOVA), and correlation analysis were used for data analysis. Results: The most prominent motive for visiting oriental medical hospital was recurrence prevention and energy recovery. In oriental medical care, positive responses appeared in the order of 'Acupuncture', 'Pharmacopuncture', 'Enzyme therapy', 'Foot bath therapy', and 'Moxibustion'. According to the research on medical satisfaction degree, the overall satisfaction degree was 4.56. On each field, satisfaction degree related to the doctor service was 4.64, and satisfaction degree of using the procedure was 4.47. Conclusions: Cancer patients mostly visited oriental medical hospital for recurrence prevention and regaining energy, and the service distribution of oriental medical hospital was almost equal without being concentrated on the specified social classes.

  • This research was conducted over four weeks from January 1, 2016 until May 30. Data was collected from self-adminstered questionnaires of dwontwon Seoul franchise restaurant customers. The data was subjected to regression analysis to analyze the impact of consumer motives on revisit intentioned. Results show that gourmet is B=0.553 (p<.001), convenient, B=0.093 (p<.05), social B=0.294 (p<.001), and showing off is B=0.085 (p<.01) consumer goods all have a significant positive influence on revisit intention. Second, a significant moderating effect of web based rumores on the relationship between consumer and franchise restaurants motives and re-visit, 0.683, F=116.279 (p<.001). The two-level models add additional explanatory power increase due to a consumer culture is 2.9% and F=26.791 (p<.001) to 'revisit' emerged as significant.   • This study aimed to analyze the impact of the motives of college students for choosing majors on career decision-making with self-efficacy used as a mediation effect, and to utilize the results as data for career counseling for college students. To do so, a research survey was conducted from November 1, 2017 to November 30, 2017, and based on the non-random convenience sampling technique, questionnaires were distributed to 1,300 students (2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students) of five 4-year universities located in G Province. For frequency analysis and hypothesis testing, a multiple regression analysis and 3-step mediation effect analysis were used and the results of the analyses were as follows. The results of the analysis of the mediation effect of career self-efficacy on the impact of intrinsic motive on planning style showed that goal selection had a complete mediation effect. Given these results, it is necessary that educational institutions and society provide students, even during middle and high school years, with opportunities to discover their aptitudes and interests, and an educational system should be established to pave the way for students to be well prepared for and make decisions about the work they will do.

  • This study examined the factors influencing the suicide prevention gatekeeper participation of 299 grassroots organizational leaders in Gangwon province. For this purpose, participation of activities of suicide prevention gatekeeper was classified into performance intention and intervention level. Performed hierarchical multiple regression analysis by setting participation motives which showed a significant correlation with participation of suicide prevention gatekeeper as independent variables. As a result of the analysis, participation motives affecting performance intention were a sense of mission as a leader, benefits or rewards for activities, the meaning and purpose of suicide prevention, government policy. And participation motives affecting intervention level were invitation of public officials, the meaning and purpose of suicide prevention. Based on the results of this study, suggested implications for the participation of suicide prevention activities in community grassroots organizations and suggestions for future activation.

  • Purpose Despite the continued rise in the popularity of mobile MMORPGs, the previous studies mainly focused on negative results of playing MMORPG such as violence and game addiction. In addition, previous studies that verified game play motives were not enough to explain user's fundamental motives for MMORPG play. To verify the positive role of playing MMORPG, this study focused on stress coping strategies on continued play MMORPG, and divided factors into two dimensions: escapism and coping with system. The purpose of this study is to comprehensively identify the discriminatory effects of each factor on users' self-control, and the effect of self-constrol and behavioral adapatation on continued use intention for MMORPG. Design/methodology/approach This study was designed to examine the structural relationships among MMORPG users' escapism, system coping, self-control, behavioral adaptation and continued use intention for MMORPG. Findings The results from this study are as follow. First, the participants' effect-based escapism had a positive impact on self-control, whereas cause-based escapism had a negative impact on self-control. Next, proactive coping and reactive coping for system problem had a positive impact on self-control. In addition, Self-control had a positive impact on behavioral adaptation and continued use intention for MMORPG. Lastly, the behavioral adaptation to MMORPG had a positive impact continued use intention. The results of our study can suggest the positive effects of coping strategy on users' self-control and behavioral adaptation by applying the theory of both escapism and coping with system. Based on our results, game companies should develop contents that can gratify users' coping motives and enhance self-control and behavioral adaptation.

  • This study is to investigate the Effect of Career Choice Motives of the Private Security Guards on Job choice evaluation and Job Attitude. For this study visiting the 8 companies around the capital area and surveyed from May 1st to October 10th 2015 using the stratified random sampling method. A total of 240 questionnaires were distributed and among them, 220 copies were used except for analysis. I used SPSSWIN 21.0 and AMOS 21.0 to reliability analysis, factor analysis, analysis of structural equation model, path analysis. The level of statistical significance was set to .05. The following are conclusions. Job choice motivation has a positive effect on Job choice evaluation and Job attitude but Job choice evaluation doesn't play intermediary role on relationship between Job choice motivation and Job attitude.

A Study of Changing Factors and Gratifications in Online Newspaper (온라인 신문의 이용 변화에 관한 연구)

  • This longitudinal study examines changing factors readers of online newspaper on 1999 and 2004. In terms of Users and Gratification approach, this survey explore changing what is motives of online newspaper readers, using and satisfying of online news during five years. The factor analysis of Online newspaper's reading motive statements yielded three interpretable factors: 'informativeness-convenience', 'inter-activity', 'entertainment'. First, 'informativeness-convenience' on 2004 was lower than '99 in online newspaper reading motives and satisfying, but factor of 'interactivity' and 'entertainment' measured thar 2004 was higher than '99 in chat of online newspaper. A level of reading online newspaper on 2004 is lower than '99, 'people' and 'opinion' is highest reading online newspaper item. Bur that of '99 is 'top news' and 'political news'. 'Top news', 'economics' and 'infor-mation/science' is highest satisfying level of online news item on '99, but that of order changed into 'people'. 'opinion' and 'broadcasting/enter-tainments' on 2004. In conclusion, this study shows online newspaper readers perceived interactive service and entertainment factor.

A Survey on Pattern of Taking Psychotropic Drugs of the Residents in Seoul (서울시 一部地域住民의 向精神性 醫藥品 服用 實態에 關한 調査)

  • This survey was carried out to investigate the pattern of taking psychotropic drugs for 618 cases who visited 48 drugstores located as such four types of areas as business sections, gay quarters, residential sections and quasi-industrial areas from May, 1982 to March, 1983. The results are summarized as follows: I. The age distribution: The age group of 20-29 showed the highest distribution covering 35.6% as 220 out of 618 cases. The age groups of thirties and forties covered 23.0% and 19.0% respectively. The sex ratio was estimated as 1:1.86. 2. The occupational distribution: The unemployees composed the largest portion covering 53.7% as 332 out of 618. Above all the class of the housewives was 32.7%. 3. The marital status: The degree of distribution was higher on the sides of the group of married people than that of single and its percentage was 30.1. 4. The educational level: Most of the people who purchased the drugs had no knowledge of the effect of the drugs, and they covered 80.9%. 5. As for the motives, the twenties took psychotropic drugs in order to relief insomnia and that was the biggest major motive at the portion of 59.1%, 130 out of 618. 6. The age group of twenties who took the drugs for about 6 months showed the highest percentage of 52.7%. 7. The highest distribution appeared in the case that takes one or two tablets a day for less than 6 months. 8. The dosage distribution by the number of times taking the drugs The group of people that took the drugs more than 3 to 4 tablets a day as the number of 1 to 3 times covered 41.7\ulcorner0 of 187. 9. The most favorite psychotropic drugs: Lorazepam was showed to be the most favorite drugs by either male or female covered 50.9o70, 54.2\ulcornero respectively. 10. The motives of selecting drugs: The optional motives of selecting psychotropic drugs were showed 269 (43.5%) out of 618 cases that chose the drugs for themselves.
