Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate undergraduate nursing students' volunteering activities, volunteering motivation- needs, sociability and satisfaction in their major for those who take the social service activities, and to provide basic information for operating the credit system of social service activity as service-learning system. Method: This study is a descriptive study and the participants were 363 of 2nd- and 3rd-year students at a nurses' college in I City, who completed the basic course of volunteering, and the survey was conducted during April 2004. Result: The group who participated in counseling service as a volunteering activity was high in volunteering motivation-needs, sociability and satisfaction in their major. In the group who performed volunteering through circle activities, those who volunteered for children, who participated longer and who had an active attitude showed high volunteering motivation-needs. In the group who had volunteering activities during weekdays, those who took an active attitude toward volunteering showed high sociability. Those who were somewhat dissatisfied with volunteering activities, however, showed significantly high sociability. Satisfaction in the major, namely, nursing was higher in senior students, in those who participated in volunteering activities for the first time at college, those who had religion, those who are active in volunteering activities and those who were highly satisfied with volunteering activities. Considering that active attitude toward volunteering activities and high volunteering motivation-needs enhance nursing students' satisfaction in their major, it is necessary to upgrade the current volunteering activities to the level of service learning. That is, it is necessary to develop new service learning in nursing curriculum that utilizes volunteering activities as well as what they learn in major for community societies.

The purpose of this study is to clarify the motivation of adolescent volunteers based on exchange theory by analyzing benefits and costs. The activation for family-volunteering is explored to decrease the cost of volunteering. Data were collected from 463 adolescents and analyzed using SPSS 16.0 program. The statistics used for analysis were the factor analysis, cluster analysis, T-Test and ANOVA, Findings indicated that a 75.2% of adolescents participated in voluntary activities during last one year, but a 90.3% of subjects was not taken part in family volunteering. Family volunteering has not been activated but adolescents hoped high to participate with family. Adolescents evaluated high the cost of family time lost because of volunteering. The clusters evaluating the costs of volunteering low participated more than other clusters. From these results, it was proposed that costs of volunteering such as conflicts with members of family or supervisors should be lessened than the benefits of it emphasized. The family volunteering is suggested to decrease the cost of family time loss.

This study is intended to determine the effects of volunteering participation motivation on major satisfaction and continuance willingness in ophthalmic optics students. To achieve this, a survey was empirically carried out to ophthalmic optics students. The research findings showed that self-development among participation motivation factors had a significant effect on major satisfaction and continuance willingness, leisure on continuance willingness, and major satisfaction on continuance willingness in the relationship between the effects of volunteering participation motivation on continuance willingness and major satisfaction in ophthalmic optics students, respectively, adopting 3 hypotheses. On the other hand, leisure had no significant effect on major satisfaction, interpersonal exchange on major satisfaction, and interpersonal exchange on continuance willingness, respectively, rejecting 3 hypotheses. Which suggest that the high self-development willingness of college students as a factor of college volunteering participation motivation causes them to have pride and specialization in their major. Consequently, pride and specialization in major cannot only increase an understanding of personality and major, but maintain a positive attitude, leading to a long-continuous willingness, not a simple one-time service.

Purpose: As environmental and social problems such as disasters caused by climate change and the rapid transition to an ultra-aging society are rapidly emerging, the voluntary participation of citizens in civil society is a good alternative to solve various social problems, and the necessity and role of volunteering is gradually being emphasized. Research design, data, and methodology: This study examined the motivation and satisfaction of volunteer participation and conducted a comparison analysis, focusing on the 2013 Beautiful Store Volunteer Satisfaction Survey and the 2021 Volunteer Satisfaction Survey data. Results: To summarize the main results of the study, first, the motivation to start volunteering was to respond that the individual's subjective disposition influenced the motivation to start volunteering. Second, volunteer participants were able to gain recognition and psychological comfort through volunteer activities. In addition, the satisfaction of the part that increases the confidence of volunteer participants can be seen as a positive change in volunteer work. Third, in relation to the continuity of volunteer work, it was found that problems related to managers and conflicts between organizations and individuals were largely emerging as factors that caused them to quit volunteering. Conclusions: Volunteers should be more interested in cooperation and communication and promote discussions on improvement for sustainable service in communication between other volunteers and managers.

본 연구는 노년기 경제적 스트레스가 노화불안에 미치는 영향에서 자발적 봉사활동 동기, 그리고 연령의 상호작용효과를 검증하여 노화불안에 대한 개입 방안을 제공 하고자 함에 있다. 이를 위해 노인종합복지관을 이용하는 노인 211명을 대상으로 자기보고식 설문조사를 실시하였고, 불성실한 응답을 제외한 182명의 노인을 대상으로 빈도분석, 기술통계, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 노년기 경제적 스트레스는 노화불안을 높였지만, 자발적 봉사활동 참여 동기는 노화불안을 낮추는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 경제적 스트레스가 노화불안을 높이는 가운데 봉사활동에 대한 만족도가 높아 자발적으로 참여하는 노인일수록, 그리고 고연령 봉사자일수록 노화불안이 더욱 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 노인 삶의 질 제고를 위한 정책적, 실천적 방안을 제언하였다.

본 연구는 2014 오송 국제바이오 산업엑스포에 참여한 자원봉사자를 대상으로 하여 자원봉사자의 참여동기와 참여만족, 교육훈련이 참여동기와 참여만족 간에 조절효과가 있는지를 분석하여 향후 개최될 메가이벤트를 성공적으로 치러낼 수 있는 시사점을 제공하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 연구결과 첫째, 참여동기 중 내적보상은 자원봉사 참여만족 6개 구성요인에 모두 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 참여동기 중 외적보상은 자원봉사 참여만족 중 자기성장만족과 교류만족을 제외한 4개 구성요인에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 내적보상과 행사업무만족 간에 교육훈련이 조절역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 외적보상과 교류만족 간에 교육훈련이 조절역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다.

Owing to the increase of the aged, a positive analysis was carried out for developing the aged volunteering program. This study aiming at planning for the aged volunteering activation, desirable leasure activity in the dimension of social welfare, by assaying the real states of the aged making the use of the leasure and especially aiming at surveying the aged need in relation with the aged volunteering activity on which to present the revolving method and qualitative advance. The method of study was interview the aged over 60 with the questionnaire of the general features of the participants, the motive, the career, the participation method, the satisfaction degree, the cost necessity, the participation degree, the pre-education, and the desirable program of the volunteering and what is got from the volunteering, etc. The collected data were statistical-processed through Spss Win (Ver 8.0) and chi-square verified. As the result of this study, there are the needs for developing various program, the motivation for the participation and maintenance, and the suitable places for volunteering. The poly-dimensional social welfare approaches are presented for the above needs.

본 연구는 기능주의 관점에서 자원봉사자의 동기와 혜택을 부합시킬 수 있는 자원봉사과업설계 및 자원봉사자 배치에 대한 함의를 제공하는 데 연구목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 다중회귀분석을 실시하여 자원봉사동기가 자원봉사과업만족도 및 지속의지에 미치는 영향력에 대해 분석하였다. 분석결과 가장 중요한 자원봉사동기의 유형은 사회적 동기, 상승동기, 가치동기 순으로 나타났고, 각각의 동기는 자원봉사과업만족도 및 지속의지에 각기 차별적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 조사결과에 대한 실천적 함의가 논의되었다.

현재 공공도서관의 자원봉사자는 주로 내부 인력보충의 측면으로 관리되고 자원봉사자 관점에서의 고려가 부족하여 참여의 지속성과 경영효과가 제한적이다. 본 연구는 공공도서관 자원봉사자의 참여 동기와 지속 요인들을 검토하고 이 요인들이 자원봉사자의 만족도와 마케팅 의도에 미치는 영향을 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 자원봉사자, 만족도, 동기요인에 대한 이론적 개념을 기반으로 각 변수에 대한 개념 및 측정요인을 확인하였으며, 자원봉사자 5명의 심층면담을 통해 연구가능성 및 고려요인을 검토하였다. 이를 바탕으로 개발된 설문지로 설문조사를 진행하여 수집된 데이터를 기반으로 통계분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 자원봉사자의 참여동기와 지속 요인은 보수 등의 관리적 요인보다 정서적·심리적 요인들이 자원봉사자 만족도와 마케팅 의도에 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 결과는 관계 중심적 관리 방식으로의 변화의 필요성을 나타내며 자원봉사자를 인력 충원의 관점으로 인식했던 것에서 더 나아가 자원봉사자의 만족을 기반으로 한 공공도서관의 마케팅 자원으로서 활용가치를 높였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation between a motivation to volunteer, personality, and interpersonal relationships in nursing students. Methods: A descriptive study was conducted using self-reported questionnaires to collect data from 185 nursing students in C city from February 1 to 28, 2018. Data were analyzed using independent t-tests, one-way analysis of variance, and Pearson correlation coefficient with SPSS version 21.0. Results: The mean score were 3.18±0.54 of motivation to volunteer, 4.62±0.50 of personality, and 3.74±0.44 of interpersonal relationships. Motivation to volunteer was positively correlated with personality and interpersonal relationships. A significant positive correlation was also found between personality and interpersonal relationships. Conclusion: Based on study results, nursing students need an opportunity to understand the nature of human and respect others through participation in various volunteer activities, and to improve personality and interpersonal relationship. Nurse educators should focus on the positive benefits of volunteering for nursing students and the strategies for encougring volunteering should be incorporated into the curriculum.
