Adsorption/desorption characteristics of low concentration methylethylketone(MEK) and toluene vapors in beds packed with activated carbon fibers(ACF) was investigated. Performance of ACF adsorption was characterized by the equilibrium capacity, time to reach equilibrium and desorption efficiency. Experiments were carried out to define the effect of operation variables, such as feed concentration, flow rate, moisture content and bed height. The breakthrough time was shorten with the increase of temperature, flow rate and feed concentration. In addition, an increase of packed height of adsorbents lengthen the breakthrough time. The ACF loaded with MEK and toluene was satisfactorily regenerated by programed heating. It is observed that MEK is more easily removed than toluene at below temperature of $150^{\circ}C$.
A model was developed to describe the microbial decontamination of diesel contaminated soil in a soil column. The biodegradation rate of diesel in nature depends on temperature and the pH of soil, availability of nutrients, oxygen and water. The soil moisture content is one of the essential factors because it characterizes the availability not only of water to microorganisms but also of oxygen and nutrient dissolved in soil. In this work, the rate of biodegradation was modeled by coupling Michaelis-Menten kinetics for the aqueous-phase solute with adsoption-desoption equation for diesel sorption and desorption from soil.

The effect of temperature on hysteresis of rough rice grown in Korea was investigated. The maximum hysteresis effect of Chucheongbyeo paddy rice at 5$^{\circ}C$ amounted to an average 1.7% moisure content. However, their values at $25^{\circ}C$ and 4$0^{\circ}C$ averaged 1.2% and 0.7% moisture, respectively. It may be suggested that the exteents of hysteresis are affected by the temperature of hysteresis are affected by the temperature of adsorption and desorption.

Laminate Design of a composite tube for a space telescope(Fig. 1) under hygrothermal load is studied. Carpet plots for laminate effective engineering constants are generated and used for selecting the best tube lay-ups satisfying the optomechanical requirements for a space telescope being dimensional1y stable under orbital thermal loading. Despace of the tubes constructed with the selected lay-ups are calculated with a Zig-Zag Triangular Element which accurately represents through thickness stress variations for laminated structures. The effects of moisture absorption when exposed to humidity environment and moisture desorption through outgassing on the dimensional stability are also investigated.

In this parer, hump characteristics of short-channel nMOSFETs induced by moistures of the ILD(inter-layer dielectric) layer in the shallow trench isolation (STI) process are investigated and the method for hump suppression is proposed Using nMOSFETs with various types of the gate and a measurement of TDS-APIMS (Thermal Desorption System-Atmospheric Pressure ionization Mass Spectrometry), hump characteristics were systematically analyzed and the systemic analysis based hump model was presented; the ILD layer over poly-Si gate of nMOSFET generates moistures, but they can't diffuse out of the SiN layer due to the upper SiN layer. Consequently, they diffuses into the edge between the gate and STI and induces short-channel hump. In order to eliminate moisture in the ILD layer by out-gassing method, the annealing process prior to the deposition of the SiN layer was carried out. As the result, short-channel humps of the nMOSFETs were successfully suppressed.
The recent rising living standards, environment-friendly, well-being and health aspects of life in the basic gratification, as well as the desire for a pleasant environment emotionally environmentally friendly way of external space or industrial interest in the indoor environment, the manifestation. In particular, the biggest problem of the indoor environment has been emerged as a Sick House Syndrome indoor space that is provided to the building materials, and the impact on the domestic and the indoor environment, and clean the house in a health standards are specified as laws. The performance rating and the various materials to create environmentally-friendly standards for building materials. The more detail, Porous clay material, toxic substances released by applying the high humidity and the water itself, and to absorb the moisture, if the emissions, without a separate device, to maintain a comfortable indoor environment and at the same time, one of the causes of Sick House Syndrome breaking down harmful substances to absorb a comfortable indoor environment to maintain an environmentally-friendly building interior material studies. It is aimed at the development to multi-functional high performance eco-friendly construction materials, rather than through one feature performance, identify key features for national and international eco-friendly building materials can exert Water Vapour Adsorption raw, decomposed materials for the application and selection.
The moisture sorption behaviors of dry corn(DC). dry-corn (DCC) and soaked-rooked corn(SCC) at $25^{\circ}C$ were analyzed. The corn was soaked in water at $26^{\circ}C$ for 8hr. The cooking times for DCC and SCC were 30 and 20min. respectively, at $80^{\circ}C$. Desorption occurred for DC and DCC at RH below 23% and SCC at RH below 33% during storage. Moldiness was observed in all samples at RH 97%, after 192hr for DC and 288 hr for both DCC and SCC. At the same water activity. SCC sample had the highest moisture content, followed by DC. The SCC sample had the highest monolaver value and sorption heat. Stability isotherms indicated that DC and SCC had better storability than DCC.
In modern societies, people spend most of their time indoors and the temperature and humidity controlled by electrical appliances have a considerable effect on their emotions and health. However, improper operation of the artificial facilities frequently creates substances that are harmful to our body. The importance of controlling the natural humidity of interior materials has therefore attracted significant attention. This study was aimed at quantifying the hygroscopic property of some interior finishing wooden materials. Dried and heat-treated yellow poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera) lumbers, oriented strand board, and plywood were selected for this experiment. The moisture adsorption and desorption rates of wooden materials were measured (ISO 24353). Furthermore, the effects of morphological, physical and chemical factors, such as surface microstructure, roughness, and functional groups, on the hygroscopicity were evaluated. The results of this study should contribute to improved accuracy of hygroscopic-property assessments performed on wooden interior materials.
Desorption equilibrium moisture contents of oak mushroom were measured by the static method using salt solutions at flour temperature levels of 35$\^{C}$, 45$\^{C}$, 55$\^{C}$ and 6$\^{C}$ and five relative humidity levels in the range from 11.0% to 90.8%. EMC data were fitted to the modified Henderson, Chung-Pfost, modified Halsey and modified Oswin models using nonlinear regression analysis. Drying tests far oak mushroom were conducted in an experimental dryer equipped with air conditioning unit. The drying test were performed in triplicate at flour air temperatures of 35$\^{C}$, 45$\^{C}$, 55$\^{C}$ and 65$\^{C}$ and three relative humidities of 30%, 50% and 70% respectively. Measured moisture ratio data were fitted to the selected four drying models(Lewis, Page, simplified diffusion and Thompson models) using stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results of comparing root mean square errors for EMC models showed that modified Halsey was the best model, and modified Oswin models could be available far oak mushroom. The results of comparing coefficients of determination and root mean square errors of moisture ratio for four drying models showed that Page model were found to fit adequately to all drying test data with a coefficient of determination of 0.9990 and root mean square error of moisture ratio of 0.00739.

Getter is a class of materials used in absorbing gases such as hydrogen and moisture in microelectronics or semiconductor devices to operate properly. In this study, we developed a new device structure consisting of porous anodized alumina films on textured silicon wafer, which have cost efficiency in materials and processing aspects. Anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) with controlled pore sizes can be applied to a high-efficiency moisture absorber due to the high surface area and OH- saturated surface property. The moisture sorption capacity was 2.02% (RH=35%), obtained by analyzing isothermal adsorption/desorption curve.
