자기베어링과 공위한 축전센서의 설계 및 성능 평가 (The Design and Performance Verification of Collocated Capacitance Sensor for Magnetic Bearing)

  • The design and performance verification of collocated capacitance sensor system for magnetic bearing is presented. Noncollocation between actuators and sensors may cause unstable rotor behavior. The capacitance sensor is not affected by magnetic field. PCB type capacitance sensor is installed between magnetic bearing polse. so, collocation of sensors and actuators can be achieved. Experiment of sensor's static and dynamic charactistics is conducted. Modeling of the rotor system supported by magnetic bearing is made. And performance comparison between simulation and experiment is showed.

  • 해안사면의 침식을 막기 위한 해안구조물이 해저면과의 경계면에서 파랑에 의하여 세굴이 발생 할 수 있으며, 세굴에 의한 기초지반의 유실로 해안구조물의 붕괴에 이를 수 있다. 이러한 세굴 현상을 방지하기 위하여 기존의 직립식 해안구조물을 다양한 형태의 해안구조물로 개선하여 제작할 수 있다. 이러한 해안구조물의 세굴 방지 효과를 검증하기 위해서는 많은 비용이 요구되는 조파 실험이 필요하다. 조파실험에 선행하여 모델링을 수행하고 실험결과의 검증 및 추가 분석을 하는 과정을 통해서 큰 비용 절감 효과를 기대할 수 있게 된다. 본 연구에서는 조파실험 해석기법을 제안하기 위해서 유한요소해석 프로그램인 LS-DYNA를 사용하여 유체-구조 상호 작용을 고려한 조파 실험 모델링을 하고, 해안구조물과 상호작용에 의한 유체 흐름을 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 직립형, 경사형, 계단형, 사석형의 4가지 해안구조물의 세굴이 발생 가능성이 높은 위치를 선정하여 유속을 통하여 성능을 비교 분석하였다.

Minimization of Modeling Error of the Linear Motion System with Voice Coil Actuator

  • This paper presents a method for reducing modelling error in the linear motion system with voicecoil actuator (VCA). A model of linear motion system composed of a mechanism and control was prepared to verify the proposed method. In modeling of the system, the damping coefficient obtained experimentally is applied to the model in order to consider the effect of the viscous friction for the moving part in VCA. The response velocity of VCA for duty ratio of PWM signal was analyzed in the time domain. Consequently, the relation between velocity and duty ratio was obtained. The result from the experiment showed an error of 9% when compared with that of simulation. In order to reduce the modeling error, impedance variation according to input frequency was analyzed, and equivalent impedance with multi-frequency was applied to the control part. As a result, the modeling error decreased to 5%.

Equivalent frame model and shell element for modeling of in-plane behavior of Unreinforced Brick Masonry buildings

  • Although performance based assessment procedures are mainly developed for reinforced concrete and steel buildings, URM (Unreinforced Masonry) buildings occupy significant portion of buildings in earthquake prone areas of the world as well as in IRAN. Variability of material properties, non-engineered nature of the construction and difficulties in structural analysis of masonry walls make analysis of URM buildings challenging. Despite sophisticated finite element models satisfy the modeling requirements, extensive experimental data for definition of material behavior and high computational resources are needed. Recently, nonlinear equivalent frame models which are developed assigning lumped plastic hinges to isotropic and homogenous equivalent frame elements are used for nonlinear modeling of URM buildings. The equivalent frame models are not novel for the analysis of masonry structures, but the actual potentialities have not yet been completely studied, particularly for non-linear applications. In the present paper an effective tool for the non-linear static analysis of 2D masonry walls is presented. The work presented in this study is about performance assessment of unreinforced brick masonry buildings through nonlinear equivalent frame modeling technique. Reliability of the proposed models is tested with a reversed cyclic experiment conducted on a full scale, two-story URM building at the University of Pavia. The pushover curves were found to provide good agreement with the experimental backbone curves. Furthermore, the results of analysis show that EFM (Equivalent Frame Model) with Dolce RO (rigid offset zone) and shell element have good agreement with finite element software and experimental results.

  • It is evident that the education of architecture is being transformed under the influence of technological, environmental, social, and financial challenges. BIM application for design education is innovative responses that are expected to provide the high ground for the AEC industry. So the purpose of this paper introduces that application of BIM for design education of students is efficiency and effectiveness through an actual experiment by elementary school project. The results by actual experiment elaborate the role of BIM in architectural education and its appropriate place in the curriculum. Also they state that increasingly complex nature of professional world that is reliant on design teams, joint development efforts, and more complex design projects makes obsolete the designer who is trained as solo artist engaging in competitive and individual pursuits.

  • For a robot to perfom more versatile tasks, it is invitable for the robot's end-effector to come into contact with its environment. In thos case, to achieve better performance, it is necessary to properly control the contact force between the robot and the environment. In thos work, hybrid control theory is studied and is verified through experiment using a 3 DOF robot. In the experiment, two position/force controllers are used. Fist, proportional-integral-derivative controller is used as the controller for both position and force. Second, computed-torque method is used as the position controller, and proportional-integral-derivative controller is used as the force controller. For a proper modeling used in computed-torque method, the friction torque is measured by experiment, and compensation method is studied. The hybrid control method used in this experiment effectively control the contact force between the end-effector and the environment for various types of jobs.

전지구 예보모델의 대기-해양 약한 결합자료동화 활용성에 대한 연구 (Application of Weakly Coupled Data Assimilation in Global NWP System)

  • Generally, the weather forecast system has been run using prescribed ocean condition. As it is widely known that coupling between atmosphere and ocean process produces consistent initial condition at all-time scales to improve forecast skill, there are many trials on the application of data assimilation of coupled model. In this study, we implemented a weakly coupled data assimilation (short for WCDA) system in global NWP model with low horizontal resolution for coupled forecast with uncoupled initialization, following WCDA system at the Met Office. The experiment is carried out for a typhoon evolution forecast in 2017. Air-sea exchange process provides SST cooling and gives a substantial impact on tendency of central pressure changes in the decaying phase of the typhoon, except the underestimated central pressure. Coupled data assimilation is a challenging new area, requiring further work, but it would offer the potential for improving air-sea feedback process on NWP timescales and finally contributing forecast accuracy.

추적자를 이용한 오염물질 거동분석

  • 본 연구에서는 하천에 유입된 오염물질의 거동 및 확산특성을 파악하기 위하여 실제 하천에서 RI(Radioactive Isotope) 추적자를 이용하여 오염물 확산을 실측하고 그 결과를 수치모형과 비교분석하였다. 연구대상 수로구간은 금강 상류지역의 용담댐 부근 남대천 합류지점으로부터 하류로 약 2km구간에서 실험을 하였으며, 수치모형으로는 RMA-2(Resource Modeling Associates), RMA-4를 사용하였다. RI를 이용한 현장실험은 모델링을 적용한 지역과 동일 지역에서 실험을 실시하였고, 각 구간의 간격은 1km로 정하되 현장 사정에 따라 차이를 조금 두어 RI계측기를 통한 1초간격의 농도 데이터를 계측하였다. 계측결과는 수치모형의 결과와 실제 하천에서의 확산범위 및 확산에 큰 영향을 미치는 확산계수 변화에 따른 농도 분포를 비교 분석하였다. 본 연구를 통해 확산계수가 하천의 오염전파에 미치는 영향과 실측된 농도 데이터를 통해 최초 및 최대농도 도달시간을 파악할 수 있었고, 이것으로 인하여 확산계수를 산정을 할 수 있는 기초자료를 마련하였다.

Through. fundamental comparison experiment, heat source experiment and transient state experiment, the induction motor using inverter was examined to produce heat source with frequency level and traced to thermal variation at starting and stopping. And thermal analysis using thermal network was compared with a transient state experiment.

  • 차량 전기 시스템의 최적 설계를 위해 납축전지의 동적 거동을 예측하는 것은 중요하다. 동적 거동을 예측하기 위해서는 믿을만한 모델링 프로그램이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 1차원 모델링을 통하여 12V 차량용 납축전지의 동적거동을 예측하였다. 수학적 모델에는 전기화학반응과 전지 내부에서 일어나는 이온 물질전달을 포함하였다. 모델링을 검증하기 위해 용량이 다른 2개(68Ah, 90Ah)의 납축전지 모델링 결과를 실험 결과와 비교하였다. 본 연구에서 사용한 납축전지는 현대자동차 차량에 적용되는 납축전지를 사용하였다. 방전 실험의 조건은 C/3, C/5, C/10, C/20의 방전율을 조합하여 진행하였다. 그리고 충전과 방전이 연속적으로 일어나는 동적 실험을 수행하였다. 모델링 결과와 실험 결과를 비교하여 보면 모델링 결과가 실험결과를 잘 예측하는 것을 볼 수 있다. 모델링은 고체상과 액체상에서의 전위분포와 전극 내에서 전류밀도에 근거한 모델링은 충 방전 시간의 함수로 예측할 수 있다.
