Maximum Power Point Tracking Control Scheme for Grid Connected Variable Speed Wind Driven Self-Excited Induction Generator

  • This paper proposes a wind energy conversion system connected to a grid using a self-excited induction generator (SEIG) based on the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control scheme. The induction generator (IG) is controlled by the MPPT below the base speed and the maximum energy can be captured from the wind turbine. Therefore, the stator currents of the IG are optimally controlled using the indirect field orientation control (IFOC) according to the generator speed in order to maximize the generated power from the wind turbine. The SEIG feeds a (CRPWM) converter which regulates the DC-link voltage at a constant value where the speed of the IG is varied. Based on the IG d-q axes dynamic model in the synchronous reference frame at field orientation, high-performance synchronous current controllers with satisfactory performance are designed and analyzed. Utilizing these current controllers and IFOC, a fast dynamic response and low current harmonic distortion are attained. The regulated DC-link voltage feeds a grid connected CRPWM inverter. By using the virtual flux orientation control and the synchronous frame current regulators for the grid connected CRPWM inverter, a fast current response, low harmonic distortion and unity power factor are achieved. The complete system has been simulated with different wind velocities. The simulation results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed MPPT control scheme for a wind energy system. In the simulation results, the d-q axes current controllers and DC-link voltage controller give prominent dynamic response in command tracking and load regulation characteristics.

  • 본 논문에서는 안정성 영역 판별법(stability area) 기반 발사체의 자세제어기 이득결정과정에 대한 내용을 기술하였다. 안정성 영역 판별법은 D-Decomposition 기법으로부터 정의되는 것으로 본 논문에서는 D-Decomposition 기본 이론과 이로부터 산출된 발사체의 자세 안정성 영역을 도시하고, 적용 예로써 일반적인 발사체의 1단 추력 비행구간에서 자세제어기 설계과정을 제시하였다. 제어이득 결정을 위해서 중첩된 안정성 영역을 바탕으로 시스템 파라미터 불확실성을 고려 안정성 영역 경계(stability area boundary)를 설정하고, 선정된 제어이득을 발사체 선형모델에 적용, 자세 안정성 분석 수행 결과를 나타냈다.

Research on a Multi-Objective Control Strategy for Current-source PWM Rectifiers under Unbalanced and Harmonic Grid Voltage Conditions

  • Unbalanced and distorted grid voltages cause the grid side current of a current source PWM rectifier to be heavily distorted. They can also cause the DC-link current to fluctuate with a huge amplitude. In order to enhance the performance of a current-source PWM rectifier under unbalanced and harmonic grid voltage conditions, a mathematical model of a current-source PWM rectifier is established and a flexible multi-objective control strategy is proposed to control the DC-link current and grid-current. The fundamental positive/negative sequence, $5^{th}$ and $7^{th}$ order harmonic components of the grid voltage are first separated with the proposed control strategy. The grid current reference are optimized based on three objectives: 1) sinusoidal and symmetrical grid current, 2) sinusoidal grid current and elimination of the DC-current $2^{nd}$ order fluctuations, and 3) elimination of the DC-current $2^{nd}$ and $6^{th}$ order fluctuations. To avoid separation of the grid current components, a multi-frequency proportional-resonant controller is applied to control the fundamental positive/negative sequence, $5^{th}$ and $7^{th}$ order harmonic current. Finally, experimental results verify the effectiveness of proposed control strategy.

LonWorks/IP 가상 디바이스 네트워크에서 외란관측기와 ZPETC를 이용한 추종제어 (Tracking Control using Disturbance Observer and ZPETC on LonWorks/IP Virtual Device Network)

  • LonWorks/IP VDN은 LonWorks 디바이스 네트워크와 IP(데이터) 네트워크와의 통합네트워크로 산업현장에 대한 유비쿼터스 접근을 제공하여 설비에 대한 예지 및 예방보전을 가능하게 한다. 산업현장에 대한 예지 및 예방보전을 위한 실시간 분산제어 환경에서 즉각적인 응답은 필수불가결한 요소이다. LonWorks/IP 가상 디바이스 네트워크(VDN) 상에서 불확실한 시간지연은 산업현장에 대한 실시간 예지 및 예방보전을 위해 분산 제어를 수행할 때 시스템의 안정성과 성능을 악화시킨다. 따라서 네트워킹 된 분산제어시스템의 안정성을 보장하고 성능을 개선하기 위해서는 시간에 따라 가변적인 불확실한 시간지연을 보상할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 LonWorks/IP VDN와 같은 분산제어 환경 하에서 서보 제어를 수행하는 경우에 외란관측기와 위상지연 보상기로 ZPETC(Zero Phase Error Tracking Controller)를 도입한 제어구조가 제시되고 컴퓨터 모의실험이 수행된다. 제안된 제어기의 성능은 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통하여 외란관측기를 도입한 Smith 예측기 기반의 내부모델제어기(IMC)의 제어결과와 비교 제시된다. 제안된 제어기는 외란과 잡음에 강인한 특성을 가지며, 주기적인 신호에 대한 추종성능을 상당히 개선시키므로 가변적인 시간지연을 갖는 LonWorks/IP VDN 상에서 주기적인 작업 수행에 필요한 분산 서보제어에 매우 적합하다.

Power Quality Impacts of an Electric Arc Furnace and Its Compensation

  • This paper presents a new compensating system, which consists of a shunt active filter and passive components for mitigating voltage and current disturbances arising from an Electric Arc Furnace (EAF). A novel control strategy is presented for the shunt active filter. An extended method based on instantaneous power theory in a rotating reference frame is developed for extraction of compensating signals. Since voltages at the point of common coupling contain low frequency interharmonics, conventional methods cannot be used for dc voltage regulation. Therefore, a new method is introduced for this purpose. The passive components limit the fast variations of load currents and mitigate voltage notching at the Point of Common Coupling (PCC). A three-phase electric arc furnace model is used to show power quality improvement through reactive power and harmonic compensation by a shunt active filter using the proposed control method. The system performance is investigated by simulation, which shows improvement in power quality indices such as flicker severity index.

  • With the introduction of supply chain management concept, the nature of a firm is fundamentally changed. Control is no longer based on direct control of the business processes, but rather based on integration across member organizations in the supply chain. Firms are trying to achieve a competitive edge by managing their supply chain performance to gain advantages in cost and service differentiation. The supply chain elements of a sea port involves ILSP (Inbound Logistics Service Provider) at the input side and OLSP (Outbound Logistics Service Provider) at the output side. The goal of sea port is to satisfy the needs of different parties, both upstream and downstream, in the chain with greater effectiveness and efficiency than it's competitors. In this context, the purpose of this paper is to derive conceptualization of the SCP (Supply Chain Performance) in the sea port from literature review on the previous researches and to tackle their theoretical and practical implications. The paper deals with conceptualizing SCP in sea port using the SCOR (Supply Chain Operation Reference) model. It incorporates both the effectiveness and efficiency aspects of performance measurement. And it also recognizes customer related reasons for measuring performance.

  • 일반적으로 관성시스템의 제어 문제는 결국, 시스템 자체에서 발생하는 진동을 최대한 억제하면서 빠른 시간에 출력이 기준입력을 추종하는데 있다. 이 경우 문제로 되는 것은 시스템의 모델링 과정에서 발생하는 플랜트의 불확실성과 parameter 변동이다. 여기서는 일반적인 강인한 제어기 설계 이론의 하나인 H$_{*}$ 이론이 가지는 단점인 제어기의 보수성을 극복하면서, 동시에 출력의 과도응답특성을 개선하기 위한 방법으로 H$_2$이론을 병용하고 이를 LMI 이론으로 해석하였다. 이 과정에서 3 관성시스템에 LMI 이론을 적용하기 위한 일반화플랜트의 모형을 제시하고 이것의 유효성을, 모델의 불화실성과 parameter변동을 동시에 고려한 simulation을 통하여 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, an approach is developed for relative state estimation of satellite formation flying. To estimate relative states of two satellites, the Extended Kalman Filter Algorithm is adopted with the relative distance and speed between two satellites and attitude of satellite for measurements. Numerical simulations are conducted under two circumstances. The first one presents both chief and deputy satellites are orbiting a circular reference orbit around a perfectly spherical Earth model with no disturbing acceleration, in which the elementary relative orbital motion is taken into account. In reality, however, the Earth is not a perfect sphere, but rather an oblate spheroid, and both satellites are under the effect of $J_2$ geopotential disturbance, which causes the relative distance between two satellites to be on the gradual increase. A near-Earth orbit decays as a result of atmospheric drag. In order to remove the modeling error, the second scenario incorporates the effect of the $J_2$ geopotential force, and the atmospheric drag, and the eccentricity in satellite orbit are also considered.

  • This paper is proposed design of high performance controller of SynRM drive using FNN and NNC. Also, This paper is proposed of designing fuzzy neural network controller(FNNC) which adopts the fuzzy logic to the artificial neural network(ANN). FNNC combines the capability of fuzzy reasoning in handling uncertain information and the capability of neural network in learning from processes. This controller is controlled speed using FNNC and model reference adaptive fuzzy control(MFC), and estimation of speed using ANN. The performance of proposed controller was demonstrated through response results. The results confirm that the proposed controller is high performance and robust under the variation of load torque and parameters.

  • 백두산과 같은 중요 지형의 지형적 환경적 모니터링을 수행하기 위하여 SPOT-5 스테레오 위성영상을 이용하여 제작된 DEM의 정확한 보정이 필요하다. 기준 DEM으로 SRTM DEM을 사용하여 SPOT-5 DEM을 보정하였다. SPOT-5 DEM과 SRTM DEM은 단일 강체 변환식으로 변환하는 경우 오차를 많이 내포하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 대상지역에 골고루 기준점을 추출하고, 기준점으로부터 지역적 변환식을 추정하였다. 제안된 방법의 정확도를 평가하기 위하여, 축척기반과 S1FT기반의 변환식을 이용한 DEM과 비교하였다.
