  • The rise of electrification and the advancement of autonomous driving technologies are leading to new forms of mobility, such as serving and delivery robots. However, due to factors such as the small-scale production of various products and the high cost of autonomous driving sensors, product prices have risen, limiting accessibility to consumers. To improve this, we developed a multi-purpose mobility platform that is mass-producible, based on inexpensive, reliable sensors and a configurable human tracking system. As a result, the unit price is approximately 50% of the launch prices of other mobility products, and additional cost savings are possible through component optimization in the future. In addition, more added value will be created through the distribution of integrated mobility platforms that can be combined with various usable modules to meet a variety of user needs, such as cargo transportation, wheelchair power kits, and mobile monitors.

  • Capacity has always been a major concern in wireless networks. This letter studies the impact of mobility on the overall system capacity in wireless cellular networks. In this letter, we present a simple system model which we developed to capture the inherent relationships among system capacity, new call blocking probability, handoff dropping probability, call terminating probability, and bandwidth utilization rate. We investigate the complex relationship between mobility and capacity-related parameters. Through simulation, we demonstrate that mobility has a significant impact on capacity and is reversely proportional to the bandwidth reserved for handoff traffic.

Two mechanical networks, mobility network, and impedance network, are proposed md the relations between a mechanical system n4 their two mechanical networks are examined briefly. The mobility network is founed to be more natural of two networks. This paper also shows the invariant property of mobility elements in the measurement procedure.

  • Research on wireless sensor networks has focused on the monitoring and characterization of large-scale physical environments and the tracking of various environmental or physical conditions, such as temperature, pressure, and wind speed. We propose a stochastic mobility model that can be applied to a MANET (Mobile Ad-hoc NETwork). environment, and apply this mobility model to a newly proposed clustering-based routing protocol. To verify its stability and durability, we compared the proposed stochastic mobility model with a random model in terms of energy efficiency. The FND (First Node Dead) was measured and compared to verify the performance of the newly designed protocol. In this paper, we describe the proposed mobility model, quantify the changes to the mobile environment, and detail the selection of cluster heads and clusters formed using a fuzzy inference system. After the clusters are configured, the collected data are sent to a base station. Studies on clustering-based routing protocols and stochastic mobility models for MANET applications have shown that these strategies improve the energy efficiency of a network.

  • In this paper, the power system with electric vehicles is analyzed considering the mobility and diffusion rate of electric vehicles in the smart grid environment. In the previous studies, load modeling and load composition rates have been researched and the results are applied to develop a new load model to explain the mobility of electric vehicles which could affect on the power system status such as power flow and stability. The results would be utilized to research and develop power system analysis methods considering movable charging characteristics of electric vehicles including movable discharging characteristics which could be affected by the diffusion progress of electric vehicles.

  • Purpose - This work aims to study the existing management process and methods of statistical evaluation of personnel mobility management, and propose improvement measures. This is particularly relevant in today's market economy because proper organization of personnel movement affects the availability and effective utilization of human resources in enterprises. Hence, it influences the volume, timely execution of work, equipment efficiency, and consequently the volume of production, its cost, profit, and other economic indicators. Research design, data, and methodology - We investigate the indicators that measure staff mobility, and their dependent consequences. Further, it analyses the factors influencing high staff turnover, which is a main indicator of staff mobility. Results - Measures for staff mobility development and prevention of turnover are proposed. Micom Systems is a sample case that has developed special programs to reduce staff turnover. Conclusions - Staff mobility leads to additional costs, significant loss of working time, and increase in defects. However, the advantages of staff mobility outweigh these negative factors. The role of staff mobility in a market economy cannot be overestimated.

  • Full maximum-entropy mobility-spectrum analysis (FMEMSA) is the best algorithm among mobility spectrum analyses by which we can obtain a set of partial-conductivities associated with mobility values (mobility spectrum) by analyzing magnetic-field-dependent conductivity-tensors. However, it is restricted to a direct band-gap semiconductor and should be modified for materials with other band structures. We developed the modified version of FMEMSA which is appropriate for a material with a single anisotropic valley, or an indirect-band-gap semiconductor quantum-well with a single non-degenerate conduction-band valley e.g., (110)-oriented AlAs quantum wells with a single anisotropic valley. To demonstrate the reliability of the modified version, we applied it to several sets of synthetic measurement datasets. The results demonstrated that, unlike existing FMEMSA, the modified version could produce accurate mobility spectra of materials with a single anisotropic valley.

  • This paper deals with the directional mobility of droplets on structured surfaces. Structured surfaces were micro-patterned with rectangular lines and spaces of varying pitch and height in the sub-millimeter range. The material used was polydimethylsiloxane, which is hydrophobic and wettable by oil. First, we studied the effect of the structural design on the sliding angle of pure water or oil through experiments. For pure water droplets, we found that a wider pitch enhanced the directionality. On the other hand, oil droplets spread along the groove because of their low surface tension and strong capillary force. The directionality of the sliding angle of oil droplets was larger than that of pure water, especially when the groove was narrower and deeper. Second, we poured a large amount of liquid on the structure and evaluated the removal rate on the tilted surface. We found that a parallel structure enhanced the liquid mobility for both pure water and oil.
