LBS must manage various context data and make the best use of this data for application service in ubiquitous environment. Conventional mobile object data management architecture did not consider process of context data. Therefore a new mobile data management framework is needed to process location context data. In this paper, we design a new context management framework for a location based application service. A suggestion framework is consisted of context collector, context manager, rule base, inference engine, and mobile object context database. It describes a form of rule base and a movement process of inference engine that are based on location based application scenario. It also presents an embodiment instance of interface which suggested framework is applied to location context interference of mobile object.

A context-aware services platform supporting mobile agents consists of sensor nodes and a sensor coordinator. Sensor nodes collect environmental information and transmit the collected information to the sensor coordinator through wireless sensor networks. The sensor coordinator passes the information to the context-aware service module, and the mobile agent. The context-aware service module or the mobile agent performs services suitable for a user's situation based on the environmental information and a service actuation message is delivered to an actuation node through the sensor coordinator. In this paper, we present a context-aware services platform structure employed in our project, and describe context-aware services platform interfaces with a context-aware service module and mobile agents.

This study proposes a framework to investigate the factors of mobile web success in the context of e-commerce, and the relative importance of these success factors in selecting the most preferred mobile web. First, the Updated Delone and Mclean IS success model (2003) is chosen to extract significant mobile web success factors in the context of e-commerce. Second, it is extended through applying an Analytic Network Process (ANP) approach for investigating the relative importance of each factor and ranking alternative mobile webs in the context of e-commerce. The choice of success measure is a function of the context, which is the objective of this study. Thus, the present study is aimed at evaluating the success of an e-commerce mobile web by customizing measures of the Updated Delone and McLean IS Success model according to the context.

Recently the usage of mobile devices which enable the accessibility to Internet has been dramatically increased. Most of the mobile services, however, so far tend to be simple such as infotainment service. In order to fully taking advantage of wireless network and corresponding technology, personalized web service based on user's context could be needed. Meanwhile, optimization techniques have been vitally incorporated for optimizing the development and administration of electronic commerce. However, applying context-aware optimization mechanism to personalized mobile services is still very few. Hence, the purpose of this paper is to propose a methodology to incorporate optimization techniques into personalization services. Multi agent-based web service approach is considered to realize the methodology. To show the feasibility of the methodology proposed in this paper, a prototype system, CAMA-myOPt(Context-Aware Multi-Agent system for my Optimization), was implemented and adopted in mobile comparative shopping.

이동통신은 시간과 장소의 제약없이 유비쿼터스하게 인간 중심의 서비스를 제공할 수 있는, 차세대 시스템을 향하여 진화하고 있다. 특히, 사용자의 요구와 사용자 주변 상황들이 동적으로 변화하고 있는 차세대 이동통신 환경에서 다양한 센서 및 장치 그리고 관련 기술들에 의해 상황 인식(Context Awareness)이 실현될 것이다. 이러한 상황 인식을 바탕으로 차세대 이동통신 환경에서는 사용자의 요구와 사용자 주변 상황에 가장 적절한 서비스가 제공되는 상황 인식 서비스가 핵심 서비스로 부상될 것이다. 본 논문에서는 서비스 사용자와 서비스 제공자들을 연결시켜 주는 차세대 이동통신 서비스 플랫폼을 기반으로 제공되는 차세대 이동통신 서비스 환경을 기술한다. 그리고, 이러한 서비스 환경에서 차세대 통합망, 센서 및 센서 네트워킹 기술, 단거리 통신 기술의 발전에 따른 상황 정보수집 범위의 확대, 서비스 이용 범위의 다양성 등에 따라 분류된 상황 인식 서비스의 진화 단계를 제시한다.

In this paper, we design a middleware for context-awareness which provides compound contexts from diverse sensors on a mobile device. Until now, most of context-aware application developers have taken responsibility for context processing from sensing data. Such application-level context processing causes heavily redundant data processing and leads to significant resource waste in energy as well as computing. In the proposed scheme, we define primitive and compound context map which consists of relavant sensors and features. Based on the context definition, each application demands a context of interest to the middleware, and thus similar context-aware applications inherently share context information and procesing within the middleware. We show that the proposed scheme significantly reduces the resource amounts of cpu, memory, and battery, and that the performance gain gets much more when multiple applications which need similar contexts are running.

본 논문에서는 기존의 모바일 증강 현실의 한계점을 간단히 설명하고, 이를 극복할 수 있는 대안으로 맥락인식(Context-aware) 모바일 증강 현실 프레임워크인 CAMAR (Context-Aware Mobile Augmented Reality) Core 플랫폼을 제안한다. 최근 모바일 장치의 기능 향상과 증강 현실과 관련된 기술의 발전으로 모바일 증강 현실에 관한 많은 연구들이 진행 중에 있다. 그러나 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 모바일 증강 현실을 활용하기 위해서는 다양한 컨텍스트 활용, 사용자에 따른 개인화된 콘텐츠 증강, 그리고 여러 사용자가 공유할 수 있는 기능들이 제공되어야 한다. 따라서 제안된 CAMAR Core플랫폼은 이와 같은 기능들을 개발자들이 쉽게 활용하여 맥락인식 모바일 증강 현실 시스템을 구현할 수 있는 프레임워크를 제공한다. 제안된 프레임워크의 유용성을 보이기 위해서 제안된 프레임워크로 구현된 시스템을 소개한다.

유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅에서는 각종 센서로부터 사용자의 상황을 파악할 수 있는 정보를 수집하고 사용자의 현재 상황에 맞는 적절한 서비스를 제공하는 것이 중요하다. 특히 모바일 환경에서는 지역마다 다른 컨텍스트 인식 구조로 인하여 타 지역의 정보를 공유할 수 없기 때문에 사용자의 상황을 인식하기 위한 컨텍스트 자원이 부족하게 된다. 또한 모바일 장치의 처리 능력이 제한적이기 때문에 사용자의 상황을 실시간으로 분석하는데 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서는 모바일 장치로 사용자의 상황을 능동적으로 분석하고 적응적인 서비스를 제공하기 위한 컨텍스트 인식 및 통합 모델을 제안한다 제안한 모델은 사용자의 상황을 분석하기 저한 컨텍스트 구조를 동적, 정적으로 구분하고, 지역 내사용자들의 컨텍스트 정보를 공유시켜 컨텍스트 자원을 확보하였다.

Mobile Augmented Reality (mobile AR), as one of the most prospective mobile applications, intends to provide richer experiences by annotating tags or virtual objects over the scene observed through camera embedded in a handheld device like smartphone or pad. In this paper, we analyzed the current status of the art of mobile AR and proposed a novel Points of Interest (POIs) data model based on ontology to provide context-aware information retrievals on lots of POIs data. Proposed ontology was expanded from the standard POIs data model of W3C POIs Working Group and established using OWL (Web Ontology Language) and Protege. We also proposed a context-aware mobile AR platform which can resolve three distinguished issues in current platforms : interoperability problem of POI tags, POIs data retrieval issue, and context-aware service issue.

모바일 환경에서 지능형 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 사용자의 성향이나 행동패턴 둥의 컨텍스트 정보를 효과적으로 분석하여 사용자의 의도나 요구사항을 예측할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 모바일 디바이스에 축적된 불확실한 로그 정보에서 컨텍스트 정보를 추론하고, 이를 효과적으로 서비스와 매칭해 주기 위한 컨텍스트 트리 기반 사용자 행동 추론 방법을 제안한다. 이 때 불확실한 컨텍스트 정보를 효과적으로 추론하기 위해 베이지안 확률 접근 방법을 채택하였으며, 컨텍스트 트리는 수학적인 방법만으로는 다룰 수 없는 비 수치적인 컨텍스트를 효과적으로 활용하기 위해 선택한 구조이다. 그리고 제안하는 방법을 지능형 전화상대 추천 서비스에 적용하여 유용성을 검증하였다.
