Organic carbon (OC) and elemental carbon (EC) in $PM_{2.5}$ were measured using Sunset OC/EC Field Analyzer at Seoul Hwangsa Monitoring Center from March to April, 2016. The mean concentrations of OC and EC during the entire period were $4.4{\pm}2.0{\mu}gC\;m^{-3}$ and $1.4{\pm}0.6{\mu}gC\;m^{-3}$, respectively. OC/EC ratio was $3.4{\pm}1.0$. The average concentrations of $PM_{10}$ and $PM_{2.5}$ were $57.4{\pm}25.9$ and $39.7{\pm}19.8{\mu}g\;m^{-3}$, respectively, which were detected by an optical particle counter. The OC and EC peaks were observed in the morning, which were impacted by vehicle emission, however, their diurnal variations were not noticeable. This is determined to be contributed by the long-range transported OC or secondary formation via photochemical reaction by volatile organic compounds at afternoon. A conditional probability function (CPF) model was used to identify the local source of pollution. High concentrations of $PM_{10}$ and $PM_{2.5}$ were observed from the westerly wind, regardless of wind speed. When wind velocity was high, a mixing plume of dust and pollution during long-range transport from China in spring was observed. In contrast, pollution in low wind velocity was from local source, regardless of direction. To know the effect of long-range transport on pollution, a concentration weighted trajectory (CWT) model was analyzed based on a potential source contribution function (PSCF) model in which 75 percentiles high concentration was picked out for CWT analysis. $PM_{10}$, $PM_{2.5}$, OC, and EC were dominantly contributed from China in spring, and EC results were similar in both PSCF and CWT. In conclusion, Seoul air quality in spring was mainly affected by a mixture of local pollution and anthropogenic pollutants originated in China than the Asian dust.
Purpose. The intent of this study was to evaluate the effects of curing conditions on self-curing denture base resins to find out proper condition in self-curing resin polymerization. Materials and methods, In this study, 3 commercial self-curing denture base resins are used Vertex SC, Tokuso Rebase and Jet Denture Repair Acrylic. After mixing the self curing resin, it was placed in a stainless steel mold(3$\times$6$\times$60mm). The mold containing the resin was placed under the following conditions: in air at 23$^{\circ}C$; or in water at 23$^{\circ}C$; or in water at 23$^{\circ}C$ under pressure(20psi); or in water at 37$^{\circ}C$ under pressure(20psi) or in water at 50$^{\circ}C$ under pressure(20psi) , or in water at 65$^{\circ}C$ under pressure(20psi), respectively. Also heat-curing denture base resin is polymerized according to manufactures' instructions as control. Fracture toughness was measured by a single edge notched beam(SENB) method. Notch about 3mm deep was carved at the center of the long axis of the specimen using a dental diamond disk driven by a dental micro engine. The flexural test was carried out at a crosshead speed 0.5mm/min and fracture surface were observed under measuring microscope. Results and conclusion . The results obtained were summarized as follows : 1. The fracture toughness value of self-curing denture base resins were relatively lower than that of heat-curing denture base resin. 2. In Vertex SC and Jet Denture Repair Acrylic, higher fracture toughness value was observed in the curing environment with pressure but in Tokuso Rebase, low fracture toughness value was observed but there was no statistical difference. 3. Higher fracture toughness value was observed in the curing environment with water than air but there was no statistical difference. 4. Raising the temperature in water showed the increase of fracture toughness.
Pseudomnas sp. HJ-2 is capable of producing a rubber-elastic polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) consisting of 3- hydroxybutyrate (3HB), 3-hydroxyvalerate (3HV), and 3-hydroxyheptanoate (3HHp) from heptanoic acid as the sole carbon source. The polyester produced was a blend of poly(3HB-co-3HV) and poly(3HHp). Although the mixing of poly(3HHp) fraction to poly(3HB-co-3HV) resulted in a decrease of modulus, the sole fraction of poly(3HB-co-3HV) with a high molar fraction of 3HV was shown to be an elastomer with the maximum percent strain of 740%. The biomass yield and the PHA synthesis were relatively high when the initial heptanoic acid concentration was 40 mM, and were significantly decreased when the substrate concentration exceeded 50 mM. The accumulation of PHA was stimulated by deficiency of nitrogen and phosphorus in the medium. The PHA contents and its monomeric compositions were greatly affected by pH and oxygen transfer rate. At pH 7.5, poly(3HB-~0.38% 3HV) was produced from heptanoic acid and a mixture of 95% 3HHp and 5% 3HV was produced at pH 8.0. Increased conten1 of 3HHp in the polyesters with lhe increasing oxygen transfer rate by agitation speed a1 a fixed aeration rate was observed.
This report does studied for making the method of conserving bracket murals in Daeungjeon of Jikjisa Temple, through the scientific way. Results of evaluated the conservation status at the braket mural paintings, most serious damage is structural damage like cracks, breakage, and delamination. After optical investigation, a characteristic point wasn't found such as underdrawing or traces of a coat of paint. The ultrasonic examination speed by each wall painting was measured from about 195.8 m/s to 392.7 m/s, according to the location of the surface, and it was able to compare the surface properties according to the location. In Infrared-thermal image measurement shows that wall layer separation and paint layer delamination are closely detected, therefore it was able to judge of damage on the objective way. Material analysis revealed that the walls were made by sand and weathering soil. The wall layer combined sand with less than fine sand size by nearly 5:5, and the finishing layer was found to have mixed medium sand and fine sand at approximately 6:4 rates. However, In case of finishing layer, mixing ratios of sizes less than very fine sand were found to be significantly lower than wall. Therefore, it is estimated that the plysical damage such as the separation between the layers of the walls created in the braket mural paintings, is continuously caused by changes in the internal stresses and volume ratio caused by the density differences between the wall and the finishing layers.

The effect of pH on the citrate leaching behavior of heavy metal ion was investigated to develop an eco-friendly process for removing heavy metals from soil contaminated with copper, zinc, and lead. The leaching tests were performed using citrate solution with pH adjusted by mixing citric acid and sodium citrate under the following leaching conditions: particle size, under $75{\mu}m$; temperature, $50^{\circ}C$; citrate concentration, $1kmol/m^3$; pulp density, 5%; shaking speed, 100 rpm; leaching time, 1 hour. The difference of pH before and after the leaching test was not observed, and this result indicates the direct effect of hydrogen ion concentration on the leaching of metals was insignificant. The removal ratios of copper, zinc, and lead from the contaminated soil decreased with increasing pH. The thermodynamic calculation suggests that the leaching behaviors of metal ions were determined by two reactions; one is the reaction to form complex ions between heavy metal ions and citrate ion species, and the other is the reaction to form metal hydroxide between heavy metal ions and hydroxide ion.

This paper proposes an efficient separation method of the composite images by using independent component analysis(ICA) based on neural networks of the approximate learning algorithm. The Proposed learning algorithm is the fixed point(FP) algorithm based on Secant method which can be approximately computed by only the values of function for estimating the root of objective function for optimizing entropy. The secant method is an alternative of the Newton method which is essential to differentiate the function for estimating the root. It can achieve a superior property of the FP algorithm for ICA due to simplify the composite computation of differential process. The proposed algorithm has been applied to the composite signals and image generated by random mixing matrix in the 4 signal of 500-sample and the 10 images of $512{\times}512-pixel$, respectively The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has better performance of the learning speed and the separation than those using the conventional algorithm based method. It also solved the training performances depending on initial points setting and the nonrealistic learning time for separating the large size image by using the conventional algorithm.

This test established the bioavailability and sample input by mixing the maintaining the microbial machine parts and food waste leachates in weight of 2:1 as advanced experiment, maintaining the constant temperature, agitating and observing its weight and property change for 60 hours. And, I injected daily the established microbial machine parts and food waste leachates rate, maintained the temperature in the reactor with $55{\sim}65^{\circ}C$, and agitated with constant speed. I studied the recycling possibility of food waste leachates by extracting the sample after 24 hours, verifying its characteristics, and repeating the food waste leachates input and sample extraction for about 40 days. Considering all about the results of this study, I saw that 87.32% of food waste leachates was reduced, and the solid of bluebug or food included in the food waste leachates was decomposed within 24 hrs. pH for 43 days after 9 days of stabilization period was maintained from 3.7~3.9 and the ignition loss from 88.67~87.3%, and the quantity of organic matter from 77.6~80.88%. With the similar result daily maintained, it is considered to progress more the minimization by inputting the future food waste leachates. C/N rate satisfies the less than 25 that is the composting basis within 8 days, maintaining between 13~15, with 2% of salt not exceeded, it is able to recycle as the compost of food waste leachates as based on the composting with no extracted heavy metal content.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of acid etching on the surface appearance and fracture toughness of five glass ionomer cements. Five kinds of commercially available glass ionomer cements including chemical curing filling type, chemical curing lining type, chemical curing metal reinforced type, light curing tilling type and light curing lining type were used for this study. The specimens for SEM study were fabricated by treating each glass ionomer cement with either visible light curing or self curing after being inserted into a rubber mold (diameter 4mm, depth 1mm). Some of the specimens were etched with 37% phosphoric acid for 0, 15, 30, 60, go seconds, at 5 minutes, 1 hour and 1 day after mixing of powder and liquid. Unetched ones comprised the control group and the others were the experimental groups. The surface texture was examined by using scanning electron microscope at 20 kV. (S-2300, Hitachi Co., Japan). The specimens for fracture toughness were fabricated by curing of each glass ionomer cement previously inserted into a metal mold for the single edge notch specimen according to the ASTME399. They were subjected to a three-point bend test after etching for 0, 30, 60, and 90 seconds at 5 minutes-, 1 hour-and 1 day-lapse after the fabrication of the specimens. The plane strain fracture toughness ($K_{IC}$) was determined by three-point bend test which was conducted with cross-head speed of 0.5 mm/min using Instron universal testing machine (Model No. 1122) following seven days storage of the etched specimens under $37^{\circ}C$, 100% humidity condition. Following conclusions were drawn. 1. In unetched control group, crack was present, but the surface was generally smooth. 2. Deterioration of the surface appearance such as serious dissolving of gel matrix and loss of glass particles occured as the etching time was increased beyond 15 s following Immediate etching of chemical curing type of glass ionomer cements. 3. Etching after 1 h, and 1 d reduced surface damage, 15 s, and 30s etch gave rough surface appearance without loss of glass particle of chemical curing type of glass ionomer cements. 4. Light curing type glass ionomer cement was etched by acid, but there was no difference in surface appearances according to various waiting periods. 5. It was found that the value of plane stram fracture toughness of glass ionomer cements was highest in the light curing filling type as $1.79\;MNm^{-1.5}$ followed by the light curing lining type, chemical curing metal reinforced type, chemical curing filling type and chemical curing lining type. 6. The value of plane stram fracture toughness of the chemical curing lining type glass ionomer cement etched after 5 minutes was lower than those of the cement etched after 1 hour or day or unetched (P < 0.05). 7. Light curing glass ionomer cement showed Irregular fractured surface and chemical curing cement showed smooth fractured surface.

This paper presents the evidence on the considerably strong stratification - destratification(SD) phenomena during spring - neap tidal cycle in summer of 1992 based on the observed temperature, salinity and density data. To find out the main factors causing SD in the bay, we computed the rate of potential energy balance of the surface heat flux, tidal and wind stirring proposed by Simpson and Hunter (1974) and Simpson and Bowders (1981) using observed data. It was found that the energy of the wind stirring was one - order smaller than those of the heat flux and the tidal stirring. It means that the variation of stratification phenomena in the bay mainly depend on tidal stirring and sea surface heating in summer if there was no exceptionally strong wind event like a typhoon. Finally, we tested the effects of typhoon on the mixing characteristics of the bay using the example of a empirical typhoon model. It was found that when wind speed is larger than 15m/sec in Deukryang Bay, the wind energy was always larger than the average heating energy based on empirical typhoon model test. Particularly, typhoon passed on the left side of the bay, strong wind energy happened, which is almost the same as tidal energy of spring tide.
Sulphuric acid (H2SO4) leaching and hydrolysis were experimented for the recovery of titanum dioxide (TiO2) from the water-leached residue followed by soda-roasting spent SCR catalysts. Sulphuric acid leaching of Ti was carried out with leachate concentration (4~8 M) and the others were fixed (temp.: 70 ℃, leaching time: 3 hrs, slurry density: 100 g/L, stirring speed: 500 rpm). For recovering of Ti from the leaching solution, hydrolysis precipitation was conducted at 100 ℃ for 2 hours in various mixing ratio (leached solution:distilled water) of 1:9 to 5:5. The maximum leachability was reached to 95.2 % in 6 M H2SO4 leachate. on the other hand, the leachability of Si decreased dramatically 91.7 to 3.0 % with an increase of H2SO4 concentration. Hydrolysis precipitation of Ti was proceeded with leaching solution of 8 M H2SO4 with the lowest content of Si. The yield of precipitation increased proportionally with a dilution ratio of leaching solution. Moreover, it increased generally by adding 0.2 g TiO2 as a precipitation seed to the diluted leaching solution. Ultimately, 99.8 % of TiO2 can be recovered with the purity of 99.46 % from the 1:9 diluted solution.
