Ni-W 합금도금용 불용성 양극의 제조 및 특성 연구 (Preparation and Characterization of Insoluble Anodes for Electrodeposition of Ni-W Alloys in Ammoniacal Citrate Bath)

  • Insoluble anodes of the Ta/Ir mixed metal oxide for electrodeposition of Ni-W alloy in ammoniacal citrate bath were prepared by thermal decomposition method. Ti plate was etched in boiling oxalic acid solution and coated with ethanol solution of $TaCl_{5}$ and $IrCl_4$ mixed in a fixed ratio, followed by drying and treating at various temperatures. The coating layer of these insoluble anode was characterized by SEM, EDX, XRD and DSC. The decomposition rate of citric acid in plating bath was determined by measuring the $CO_2$ gas evolved at the anodes with Gas Chromatography. Evolution of $CO_2$ gas from Ta/Ir oxide anodes decreased about 5% compared with that of Pt. The $CO_2$ gas evolution was increased with the amount of Ir-oxide in the coatings. The coatings which have more than 40% ratio of Ta content and heat-treated at the temperature higher than $400^{\circ}C$ showed better efficiency

Fluorocarbon의 전기적 특성연구 (A study on the electrical characteristics of the fluorocarbon)

  • In this paper, we investigated physical properties and electrical characteristics of the fluorocarbon that used as coolants for large power gas-insulated transformer. Volume resistivity of the fluorocarbon was .rho.=1.87*10$^{15}$ [.ohm.cm] at 1 atm, 27.deg. C. Dielectric constant was 1.86 and decreases as temperature increase. The breakdown voltage at 1 atm was higher than that of transformer oil. The breakdown voltage of fluorocarbon vapor was about 18kV when pressure in a test chamber increases over lkg/cm$^{2}$. When fluorocarbon was mixed with SF$_{6}$ gas, breakdown voltage of the mixed was higher than that of fluorocarbon. Then fluorocarbon leads to increase over 4kg/cm$^{2}$ in pressure as temperature increase. Therefore, when a gas-insulated transformer is manufactured, the design must be taken into consideration a high-pressure.

Semiempirical model for wet scrubbing of bubble rising in liquid pool of sodium-cooled fast reactor

  • Mechanistic calculations for wet scrubbing of aerosol/vapor from gas bubble rising in liquid pool are essential to safety of sodium-cooled fast reactor. Hence, scrubbing of volatile fission product from mixed gas bubble rising in sodium pool is presented in this study. To understand this phenomenon, a theoretical model has been setup based on classical theories of aerosol/vapor removal from bubble rising through liquid pools. The model simulates pool scrubbing of sodium iodide aerosol and cesium vapor from a rising mixed gas bubble containing xenon as the inert species. The scrubbing of aerosol and vapor are modeled based on deposition mechanisms and Fick's law of diffusion, respectively. Studies were performed to determine the effect of various key parameters on wet scrubbing. It is observed that for higher vapor diffusion coefficient in gas bubble, the scrubbing efficiency is higher. For aerosols, the cut-off size above which the scrubbing efficiency becomes significant was also determined. The study evaluates the retention capability of liquid sodium used in sodium-cooled fast reactor for its safe operation.

  • In this study, the combustion instability characteristics according to the change in the hydrogen ratio in the fuel in the single nozzle system of the hydrogen-natural gas mixed gas turbine for power generation was analyzed using a three-dimensional finite element analysis-based Helmholtz solver. This combustor shows the instability characteristics in which mode transition occurs from a mode having a low amplitude near 70 Hz to a mode having a high amplitude of 250 Hz or higher as the hydrogen fraction in the fuel increases. The current modeling results are found to reasonably predict the main characteristics of the change in measured instability frequency and growth rate with the change in fuel composition.

혼합 액체 프로판 표준가스 개발 (Development of Primary Reference Gas Mixtures for Liquid Propane)

  • 액화석유가스(Liquefied Petroleum Gas)는 Propane(C3H8)과 Butane(C4H10)을 주성분으로 한 가스를 액화한 것으로 구분된다. LPG는 혼합 성분에 따라 품질의 차이가 커 성분 함량을 정확하게 측정하는 것이 중요하다. 이와 같은 물질은 혼합물의 성분별로 상온에서는 액체와 기체가 같이 공존해 정확한 측정이 까다롭다. 따라서 탄화수소의 성분별 농도의 측정 불확도가 높아 실제 함량 기준과 많은 차이가 발생하는 문제점을 안고 있다. 그러므로 탄화수소 물질의 조성과 정확한 농도 측정을 위해 혼합 액체 프로판 표준가스의 개발이 필요하였다. 혼합 액체 프로판 표준가스는 ISO-6142(2015)의 중량법으로 벨로즈형 정압실린더에 제조되었다. 제조한 4병의 표준가스에서 균질성이 GC-FID로 확인되었다. 제조 상대확장불확도는 0.01 % - 0.30 %, 균질성은 0.03 % - 0.25 %이었다. 이 혼합 액체 프로판 표준가스에서 중량법, 제조 일치성, 실린더 흡착 여부 및 장기 안정성에 대한 상대확장불확도는 0.26 % - 1.39 %(신뢰도 약 95 %, k=2)이내로 개발되었다.

용제와 혼합한 금속분말의 $CO_2$ 레이저 클래딩 특성 (Characteristics of $CO_2$ Laser Cladding with High Viscosity Mixed Powder)

  • Laser cladding processing allows rapid transfer of heat to the material being processed with minimum conduction into base metal. The effect of $CO_2$ laser cladding with high viscosity mixed powders was investigated. High viscosity mixed powder consists of bronze powder and flux that is used at a high temperature condition. The mixed powder has a high viscosity that it can be easily pasted over a curved or slope substrate. The device for mixed powder was designed and manufactured. It consists of the high viscosity mixed powder feeding system, the preheating system and the shielding gas system which prevents the clad layer from being oxidized. The results of experiment indicated that the feed rate of high viscosity mixed powder was important for later cladding with mixed powder feeding. The high viscosity mixed powder and substrate must be preheated to prevent porosity from breaking at the clad layer. The experimental result shows that the high viscosity mixed can be applied for laser cladding process.

$SF_6/N_2$ 혼합기체의 대기압 플라즈마 특성 분석 (The Analysis of $SF_6/N_2$ Plasma Properties Under the Atmosphere Pressure)

  • Atmosphere Plasmas of Gas Discharge (APGD) have been used in plasma sources for material processing such as etching, deposition, surface modification, etc. This study is to investigate and understand the fundamental plasma discharge properties. Especially, $SF_6/N_2$ mixed gas would be used in power transformer, GIS (Gas insulated switchgear) and so on. In this paper, we developed a one dimensional fluid simulation model with capacitively coupled plasma chamber at the atmosphere pressure (760 [Torr]). 38 kinds of $SF_6/N_2$ plasma particles which are an electron, two positive ions (${SF_5}^+$, ${N_2}^+$), five negative ions (${SF_6}^-$, ${SF_5}^-$, ${SF_4}^-$, ${F_2}^-$, ${F_1}^-$), thirty excitation and vibrational particles for $N_2$ were considered in this computation. The $N_2$ gases of 20%, 50%, 80% were mixed in $SF_6$ gas. As the amount of $N_2$ gas was increased, the properties of electro-negative plasma moved toward the electro-positive plasma.

혼합정수계획법을 이용한 천연가스(LNG) 산업의 자가발전소 건설에 대한 경제성 분석 (Economics of Self-Generation by Natural Gas Industry Using the Mixed Integer Program)

  • Seasonal variation of natural gas demand coupled with rigid and stable import pattern of gas represents the characteristic feature of the Korean Liquified Natural Gas(LNG) industry. This attribute has required a huge amount of investment for the construction of storage facility. Thus, to minimize the supply cost, it is legitimate to reduce storage requirement itself. In this study, we combine three alternative methods to deal with the storage requirement to minimize the supply cost. Those are (1) adding additional storage tanks, (2) inducing large firm customers, and (3) constructing gas-turbine self generation facilities. Methodologically, we employ the mixed integer program (MIP) to optimize the system. The model also consider demand and price-setting scheme in separate modules. From the results, it is shown that if alternatives are combined optimally, a number of storage tanks can be reduced substantially compared with the original capacity plan set by the industry authorities. We perform various sensitivity analyses to check the robustness of the results. The methodology presented in this study can be applied to the other physical network industry, such as hydraulics. The empirical results will shed some light on the rationalization of capacity planning of the Korean natural gas industry.

열분해법과 혼합가스 질화법으로 합성한 FePtN 나노 입자의 특성 (Characterization of FePtN Nano-particles Synthesized by Thermal Decomposition and Mixed-gas Nitrification)

  • 열분해법으로 합성한 FePt 나노입자를 $NH_3+H_2$ 혼합가스 질화법으로 상변태와 동시에 질화시킨 FePtN 나노입자의 특성을 분석하였다. 초기 합성된 FePt 나노입자는 fcc 구조를 가졌으며, 보자력과 포화자화는 각각 247.34 Oe와 27.308 emu/g를 나타내었다. 혼합가스 질화법으로 열처리한 입자는 XRD 분석 결과 fcc 구조에서 fct 구조로 상변태가 진행되었으며, 열처리 온도의 증가에 따라 (111) 피크의 $2{\theta}$가 shift되는 특성을 나타내었다. fct 구조의 FePtN의 보자력과 포화자화는 각각 1058.2 Oe and 32.718 emu/g를 나타내었으며, 합성된 FePtN 나노자성입자는 고밀도 자기기록매체와 생체의료 분야에서의 응용이 기대 된다.
