  • We present the optical design of Linear Astigmatism Free - Three Mirror System (LAF-TMS) D200 for UVO-Multiband Polarizing Imager System (UVOMPIS). LAF-TMS D200 is the off-axis wide-field telescope with EPD = 200 mm, F/2, and Field of View (FoV) = 2° × 4°. Its optical mirrors are optimized to freeform surfaces for high-quality optical performance over a wide FoV. The proposed mirror holder consists of four aluminum optomechanical modules that have applied for LAF-TMS D150 which is a prototype of the LAF-TMS system. It can accurately mount mirrors and also can sustain from vibration environments. As a feasibility study, quasi-static, modal, harmonic, and random vibration analyses have been performed to LAF-TMS D150 optomechanical structure under the qualification level of the Soyuz-2/Fregat launch system. We evaluate the vibration analysis results in terms of von Mises stress and Margin of Safety.

  • A visual sensor consisted of polygonal mirror, laser, and CCD camera was proposed to measure the distance to the weld joint for recognizing the joint shape. To scan the laser beam of the sensor onto an object, 8-facet polygonal mirror was used as the rotating mirror. By locating the laser and the camera at axi-symmetrical positions around the mirror, the synchronized-scan condition could be satisfied even when the mirror was set to rotate through one direction continuously, which could remove the inertia effect of the conventional oscillating-mirror methods. The mathematical modelling of the proposed sensor with the optical triangulation method made it possible to derive the relation between the position of an image on the camera and the one of a laser light on the object. Through the geometrical simulation of the proposed sensor with the principal of reflection and virtual image, the optical path of a laser light could be predicted. The position and direction of the CCD camera were determined based on the Scheimpflug's condition to fit the focus of any image reflected from an object within the field of view. The results of modelling and simulation revealed that the proposed visual sensor could be used to recognize the weld joint and its vicinity located within the range of the field of view and the resolution. • A study on the topology optimization of a multi-spectral camera for space-use is presented. A multi-spectral camera for space-use experiences degradation of optical image in the space, which can not be detected on the optical test bench on the earth. An optical surface deformation of a primary mirror, which is a principal component of the camera system, under the self-weight loading is an important factor affecting the optical performance of the whole camera system. In this study, topology optimization of the primary mirror of the camera is presented. Total mass of the primary mirror is given as a constraint to the optimization problem. The sensitivities of the objective function and constraint are calculated by direct differentiation method. Optimization procedure is carried out by an optimality criterion method using the sensitivities of the objective function and the constraint. As a preliminary example, topology optimization considering a self-weight loading is treated. For practical use, the polishing pressure is included as a loading in the topology optimization of the primary mirror. Results of the optimized design topology for the primary mirror with varying mass ratios are presented.

  • In order to analyze the performance comparison of dish solar collector with mirror arrays and receiver shapes, the radiative heat flux distribution inside the cavity receiver is numerically investigated. The solar irradiation reflected by dish solar collector is traced using the Monte-Carlo method. Five different dish solar collectors and three different cavity receivers are considered. A parabolic-shaped perfect mirror of which diameter is 1.5 m is considered as a reference dish solar collector and four different arrays of twelve identical parabolic-shaped mirror facets of which diameter are 0.4 m are used. Their reflecting areas, which are $1.5\;m^2$, are the same. Three different cavity receiver shapes are dome, conical, and cylindrical. In addition, the radiative properties of the concentrating surfaces can vary the thermal performance of the cavity receiver so that variation of the surface reflectivity of each mirror is considered. Based on the calculation, the design information of dish solar collector for producing the electric power can be obtained. The results show that the dome type has the best performance in receiver shapes and the 2AND4 INLINE has the best performance in mirror arrays except perfect mirror.

  • This paper focuses on the design of a flux-biased rotary electromagnetic actuator with compact structure for fast steering mirror (FSM). The actuator has high force density and its torque output shows linear dependence on both excitation current and rotation angle. Benefiting from a new electromagnetic topology, no additional axial force is generated and an armature with small moment of inertia is achieved. To improve modeling accuracy, the actuator is modeled with flux leakage taken into account. In order to achieve an FSM with good performance, a design methodology is presented. The methodology aims to achieve a balance between torque output, torque density and required coil magnetomotive force. By using the design methodology, the actuator which will be used to drive our FSM is achieved. The finite element simulation results validate the design results, along with the concept design, magnetic analysis and torque output model.

  • Fizeau interferometer is used for inspecting the lens surface profile accurately. This study is focused on the design and optical measuring techniques for large optical components, such as a reflection mirror for large area lithography or astronomical purpose. A tower type Fizeau interferometer is designed and set up in horizontally with a 45$^{\circ}$ fold mirror which makes easy to align the optical path of heavy interferometer system. To align the optical path, a five-axes stage for the interferometer is required. This study shows a method of the 45$^{\circ}$ fold mirror alignment by using a three-axis stage instead of adjusting the interferometer itself or measuring object. This system will be installed on the large optics polishing machine during the manufacturing process as an on-machine inspection system.

  • The thermal performance comparisons of the dish solar collector system are numerically investigated with mirror arrays and receiver shapes. In order to compare the performances of the dish solar collector systems, six different mirror arrays and four different receiver shapes are considered and the radiative heat flux distribution on the inside of the receiver is analyzed. A parabolic-shaped perfect mirror of which diameter is 1.5 m is considered as a reference of the mirror arrays. Five different mirror arrays of twelve identical parabolic -shaped mirror facets of which diameter are 0.4 m are proposed in this study. Their reflecting areas, which are 1.5 $m^2$, are the same. Four different receiver shapes are a dome, a conical, a cylindrical and a unicorn type. The solar irradiation reflected by mirrors is traced using the Monte-Carlo method. In addition, the radiative properties of the mirror surface can vary the thermal performance of the dish solar collector system so that the effects of the surface reflectivity and the surface absorptivity are considered. Based on the calculation, the design information of dish solar collector system for producing the electric power can be obtained. The results show that the dome type has the best performance in receiver shapes and the 2AND4INLINE has the best performance in mirror arrays except the perfect mirror.

  • We derived analytically the generalized curvature linear equation useful in the initial optical design of a two-mirror system with finite object distance, including an infinite object distance from paraxial ray tracing and Seidel third order aberration theory for coma coefficient. These aberration coefficients for finite object distance were described by the curvature, the inter-mirror distance, and the effective focal length. The analytical equations were solved by using a computer with a numerical analysis method. Two useful linear relationships, determined by the generalized curvature linear equations relating the curvatures of the two mirrors, for the cancellation of each aberration were shown in the numerical solutions satisfying the nearly zero condition ($<10^{-10}$) for each aberration coefficient. These equations can be utilized easily and efficiently at the step of initial optical design of a two-mirror system with finite object distance.

  • A new current mirror for high-accuracy current-mode signal processing and integrated circuit design was proposed. The current mirror adopts the technique of an adaptive feedback to reduce the input impedance and the output stage of regulated cascode current mirror to increase the output impedance. Simulation results show that the current mirror has input impedance of 0.9Ω, the output impedance of 415 MΩ, and current gain of 0.96 at the supply voltage Vcc=5V. The power dissipation is 1.5㎽. In order to certify the applicability of the proposed current mirror, a voltage-to-current converter using the current mirror is designed. Simulation results show that the converter has good agreement with theoretical equation and has three times better conversion characteristics when compared with voltage-to-current converter using Wilson current mirror.

  • In this paper, I am going to analyze a correlation of Jacques Lacan's Mirror Stage and the process of remediation on image media. It is because the remediation process of various digital media is letting people pass through one time of mirror stage again. Remediation for the Internet of traditional media, conflict with the virtual world and real world, identification that a virtual image changes a practical image is for it to be caused a remediation process by mutual link of various image media. The Narcissism which occurs in the relation a self with a idealized self searches a new own expression and forms a skillful mania culture. Reflexivity of active mania culture same as a Jacques Lacan's Mirror Stage is to be the possibility becoming the feature of media culture of today. However, if digital media culture generation spends extremely wasting time from the image media, these image media generations cannot grow into new future-type man. According to this, it is necessory to have a study on Visual Literacy that it is related to a Jacques Lacan's Mirror Stage.
